I recently bought new gas cans not knowing what I was getting and couldn't believe how hard it was to get the gas out. Ordered some EZPour kits and can't wait to get them.
I use filled a 5 gal to gas jug up my car. If invert the jug 180 degrees I assume gas will leak out of the new air relief hole. Has some one come around with a fix for that?
EASIER CHEAPER WAY: Get a simple transmission funnel (often the long black one), cut some of it's length off to make it shorter and wider. I do this on an machine, truck, or car for that matter. I put my funnel in the fill port, I remove the spout entirely from the gas can and pour straight. I can empty 5 gallons in less than one minute, no spills. Me = happy camper. Best bypass is to remove the whole spout (this is for machines, cars, and trucks). This does not work so well for small fill ports on lawn mowers and such.
I also found a remedy around these lousy gas cans! I use the Gas Siphon - The Original, to automatically and conveniently, siphon the gas out of this crappy gas can, and into whatever tank I want to fill, no matter whether it is large or small, without spilling a single drop onto the ground, or onto my hands!
Thanks Ferd. I don't understand the governments thought process on no vent holes in the new cans. It's not like the rubber cone at the gas station that seals around the lip of the gas tank on my car. These new cans and nozzles, isn't vapor pouing out from the nozzle sitting in the gas opening of my tractor? Seems to me more vapor is going into the environment because it takes 100 x's longer to fill my gas tank. Rather than a few seconds if the can had a little vent on top. Pour the gas, seal the can, seal the gas tank, done. Not to mention all the spillage from these dumb new nozzles and cans. What happened to good engineering and common sense? ~Pam
+Dr. Stuart Stevens I have an older can that does that. You coul probably do that with this spot if you had the right can and some homemade gaskets. But not with what is supplied.
JFYI ~ This design you can thank California and EPA supporting the production and nation wide of inconvenience and spillage of fuel. From what we discovered (legal disagreement) You may transport your fuels PA, check your state, in anything but glass. Next problem would be finding cans without the CAL CRAP!

Thanks for watching. Hope it worked out for you.
I just "Improved" my gas cans too!!
Any suggestions on keeping the plastic bits, generated during the drilling process, out of the can or removing them?
Yeah blow them out...
Nice trick. Let us know later on how that plastic holds up to gas. Thanks for sharing.
Hello, the original system (that I also hate) allows the spout to be stored inside the fuel container, can I do the same with this EZ Pour solution???

+wBryang your dad has a cool name
Thanks for Sharing. Now I can Convert My Communist Gas Cans and not spill gas all over the Ground.
They are actually George Bush gas cans because he signed them into law!
Does anyone know if you can invert these spouts and store inside gas tank??

Thanks for watching. we see eye to eye on this crap.
I end up spilling more gas than the EPA would like to see but hey! It IS their stupid idea, no?
I bought that EASY POUR kit and it will not fit on any of my three gas cans!
Thanks for watching. sorry that didnt work. Hope you found a solution.
smart move did the same thing
Thanks for watching. Hope it worked out for you.
Big government getting bigger.
in the hand gas can it’s better that hole
great 👍 video
Thanks for watching. Yes that vent plug is an improvement by itself.
Now I can't even find that kind so I can modify it. The new one's are made by Briggs & Stratton.
Here's their web site, They show all the available stores to purchase from. Also can be found on EBay. Will fit the Briggs and Stratton cans.
will let you know. Thanks for watching.
A $10 million fine. LOL
LOL
i'm wondering why you are wearing googles
Persciption!!!! Blind in one eye and cant see out the other. LOL
I just use a siphon hose.
Im to that point again. The gaskets wear out pretty quick on these and are getting expensive. Thanks for watching.

I use a cork with two holes in it so that I can blow air into the can to get the fuel over the hump without ever risking gas in the mouth.
@@calvingreene90 Love that. Going to give that a try. Old age is making those cans kind of heavy to pour. Thanks
oh you terrible rebel....
your dad has a cool name
Great to see that woodprix has new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
That's a Diesel can not a gas can!!!
No shit snowflake.
