Oh that's pretty clever, since TAS timing ends when the last input is done. It's kinda loopholey and I was wondering why'd the TASer slow down like that, but in reality they were already done and fulfilled the conditions for "best ending" anyway
Ordinarily I can't manage to watch speedruns as long as this because they generally get stale after 15-20 minutes, but this one had enough amusing hi-jinks throughout (especially when involving Coo and/or the stone ability) to remain entertaining the whole way. The soundtrack certainly helped as well. On an unrelated note, I just adore the faces Gooey makes during the minigames.
"Hey dude, I gotta go get a drink. Could you finish off the final boss real quick?" "But isn't this supposed to be climactic or something?" "Nah we already beat Zero." "He's hitting you! Wait... what...?" "Nah it'll be fine. Just go for it. I'll be back for the credits."
Ah, it was so much fun to finally see this game get the TAS treatment! It's definitely one of my favorite Super NES games and possibly my favorite _Kirby's Dream Land_ game! This was a real treat! Thank you, WaddleDX and TASvideos! ♥
I remember having gone through the TASes of a number of Kirby games some time ago, and found it weird that I didn't remember seeing this one. Guess it wasn't made yet. Very glad I did decide to watch: the Gooey tech is really neat.
It's... not very obvious what you have to do unless you already know or have a guide when it comes to the Love Love Stars (I believe that's their canon name), but otherwise it's a beautiful game. I hope a TAS encompassed showing off the nice pastel artstyle.
@Robert Morales Between the second and third games, Samus made a pit-stop on an uncharted, star-shaped planet with black streaks on it, in order to gather resources to power and refuel her critically-underpowered ship. While she was doing that, the hatchling wandered off and ended up getting lost, without her noticing. Eventually, Kirby bumped into it and, sensing no real hostility, he let it follow him. Just about the time Samus finished refueling her ship, she noticed that the hatchling was missing. Rather than feel any _obligation_ over losing an alien species, though, she instead felt a sort of "motherly" instinct come over her. Worried for her "baby," she was just about to set out and look for it, when who should come along but a friendly, pink puffball… and, the hatchling! Samus was overcome with feelings of relief for the hatchling, her positive feelings becoming tangible, much to her confusion. She quickly snapped out of her unexpected emotional state, though, and thanked Kirby before going on her way, all-the-while wondering what had come over her, for that brief instant. She never knew that she contributed to powering up the Love-Love Stick, thus helping Kirby save his adopted home world.
Josephine Lithius ah yes it all makes sense! Haha well explained. And we learn that Dreamland is indeed inhabitable for humans. Or maybe at least super chozo humans haha
@Robert Morales Actually, what I just typed made _absolutely no sense._ There was no hatchling, holy crap, I forgot the mission entirely. Uh… uh… Something-something Space Pirate cloning experiments on Pop Star…? … … … _Embarrassing._ orz
Through a majority of the sections with Coo, my brain was having trouble processing what was happening and all I could think is "Are they having a stroke?"
never would have expected rock to be such an mvp-I know there's no wheel in this game, so that was ruled out, but figured it'd be fire like so many others
I just skipped directly to the Ado/Adeline bossfight She got her *ss handed to her by a F*CKING HAMPTER! Poor Adeline :( Edit: Like how in the Dreamland 2 TAS Rick is never used but in Dreamland 3 he's the most powerful being, like Nintendo buffed him

That was the last input.
The last input was to summon Gooey to let the CPU control him and finish the Final Boss.
Oh that's pretty clever, since TAS timing ends when the last input is done. It's kinda loopholey and I was wondering why'd the TASer slow down like that, but in reality they were already done and fulfilled the conditions for "best ending" anyway
Now that's thinkin' with portals
29:04 That was pretty sick.
Funniest part by far!
Player: I have extra time, so might as well goof around
29:04 love when TASers do things like that.

29:04 my favorite part of this speed run

Nice music sync.
LOL.
Kirby dreamland 3 was such a fun game playing on the 20 aniversery collection.
I played it on SNES i believe it was all through out my childhood. though i played Mega Man X WAY more lol
Gooey the MVP in that final boss fight
"Hey dude, I gotta go get a drink. Could you finish off the final boss real quick?"

"Nah we already beat Zero."
"He's hitting you! Wait... what...?"

I'VE WAITED WAY TOO LONG FOR THIS GAME'S RUN

God bless, you beat the hell out of that broom. 🤣

Ado is freed by being jumped on
I didn't expect so many callbacks to other Nintendo franchises in this game. Nice attention to detail!
51:32 The Best Easter Egg of this game
Even though I'm not a Kirby fan, there're not enough words to describe how much I love this game
The nostalgia! This was my favorite game as a kid.
50:36 *Kirby:* I think we need Ice, Quickly!!!

Ado is being renamed Adeleine for several reasons...
It was done without further Ado!
I love that Kine gets to shine :D
what do you mean you never used stone for *s p e e d?*
8:00 I never knew there was a clip glitch like this
Just imagine going to your friend's house and first thing you find is your friends doing that in a snes
honest to god didn't know this game existed
Same

I wonder where this fits in the Metroid timeline haha #world5stage2

@@JoLiKMC i know, 3 years ago, but wasn’t the hatchling with Samus between the events of Metroid 2 and 3 I thought you were actually right

TAS is my go to channel at work. This shit is so entertaining.
How did they not hit the flowers? I recall them having enormous hitboxes and yet they landed right next to one safely!
1:28 you forgot the invincible candy
It would lose him some time to go down the pit and grab it, so I think that's why he internationally missed it

Who knew Rock and Kine were the fastest things in this game
If you were expecting Rick to be a rock, no. He is a hamster!
I think I was referring to the rock copy ability @@wagnerramosmidichannelabso514
this game is pretty cool. i had it as a kid. this was MY kirby game back in the day.
Looks like there could have been way more slide off ledge canceling at the start, surprisingly hypnotising to watch.

my favorite part was when he used the rock ability :)
1:00:46 Poor thing o-o
