Wolfy I kinda blame that on Rockstar’s (specifically the writing team) laziness; it just didn’t make sense for Dutch to become so naive, sort of like a child. They could’ve handled it better, imo
I blame the writting team for not giving a proper end to Mrs. Grimshaw like the rest of the cast which just either left as the gang detiriorated or left at the end, she was like the odd piece out of the puzzel, because that scene is complete trash, you dont just watch a person shoot another person and react as if nothing happened.
Arthur's first encounter with Milton. Milton replies to Arthur's comment about "were all gonna die agent" with "some of us sooner than others". Milton is shot dead before Arthur succumbs to tuberculosis the same day.
Indo-J what about in that same mission where Ross says, “Enjoy your fishing kid, while you still can” to Jack and then in RDR1 Jack ends up killing him whilst he’s hunting ducks, which is close enough
foreshadowing bonus: RDR2: ends on a snowy cliff with John and Dutch guns out RDR1: Snowy cliff with John and Dutch guns out "We gotta stop meeting like this"
It’s funny, before RDR2 came out, the meaning of that was just they are meeting in guns pointing at each other situations, but now RDR2 shows it how actually meaningful it is
Playing the previous red dead the first time I didn't really feel anything for Uncle when he died. After playing RDR2 then it hit me. John hit me twice as hard then as well.
Besides serving as foreshadowing, Susan Grimshaw's dialogue with Mary-Beth was a form of character establishment. That dialogue established Susan as someone who's ready to kill those who betray the gang. The moment Molly drunkenly exclaimed that she ratted out the gang, it shouldn't have been a surprise that Miss Grimshaw was deadass ready to shoot Miss O'Shea.
2:08 it’s actually quite chilling and clever to see that the position of Uncle when he tells John that “he’ll be buried there” mirrors the exact location of his actual death. Both slumped against the same pillar on the Ranch’s front veranda (porch)
Love how right after Micah shoots Grimshaw, Dutch immediately asks who’s betraying him, it’s not like Micah just shot one of his most loyal gang members.
Putting down your wounded horse who gave you all it had and Arthur proceeding to die from his wounds with Dutch and Arthur tells him he “Gave him all he had”. Arthur was Dutch’s trusty steed, his war-horse. So it comes full circle.
Yeah my horse was a good Boah 😭 I hated saying goodbye and thank you to him I kept the black horse that you could sell or keep from the mission where Arthur and Hosea hunt the legendary bear and I never changed my horse
A bit late but when fishing with Jack, Ross says “enjoy your fishing kid, while you still can” and a decade later Ross is killed by Jack when hunting duck.
U forget the one where Charles and Arthur go find a new camp at the end of chapter 1. Charles says that if Dutch lived in a cave it would go against everything he believed in. Aka chapter 6
When Arthur and Dutch was running from the army, Dutch said he realizes there’s no place for people like him and falls off the cliff just to escape. But that’s how he dies in the first game
You also forgot during chapter 4 at the party for Jack’s return Uncle says “believe me i will outlive all of you” and indeed he did until he got shot at the end of red dead 1
My personal favorite foreshadowing moment is when you first ender Saint Denis and the kid guiding you goes “There’s the doctor, hopefully you won’t need to go there”
Could be onto something but I think in the last mission when Milton tells Arthur that Micah was the rat he says “we picked him up about right after you boys got back from the Caribbean” which would’ve been after the St. Denis bank robbery. I think the reason the Pinkertons knew the bank robbery was going to happen was not because of another rat but because of Dutch taking revenge and killing Bronte. In the mission where you attend the mayor’s party in St. Denis it shows how Cornwall, the guy who was funding the Pinkertons, was already in contact with the mayor of the city. So shortly after when a huge crime boss who controlled almost the whole city is kidnapped and murdered and happens to have occurred in the same state that the Van Der Linde gang was last seen in definitely would’ve caught the Pinkerton’s attention.
maybe foreshadowing? the colour of micah's clothes when inverted, look like Arthur's; for example, Micah favours red shirts whilst Arthur favours blue shirts

I don't really see how sadie slitting a random O'driscoll's throat counts as foreshadowing. Tilly said that she might cut one of THEIR throats and a random O'driscoll has nothing to do with the gang.
You missed that part when Dutch says "You can't fight gravity" and jumps down the cliff with Arthur then in RDR1 he does the same, but ends up killing himself so he won't get captured.

He tells the army officer that you can’t fight change, all he did was fight, and that he has been fighting his whole life, and the last thing he tells him is that you can’t fight gravity. Sound familiar? Because When John corners Dutch in rdr1, Dutch tells John almost the exact same dialogue that he said to the army men in rdr2, telling John that you can’t fight change, all he did was fight, and that he fights within himself, and finishes by saying you can’t fight gravity, but he adds a little more when talking to John saying “Our times have passed, John.” But...unlike rdr2 when Dutch and Arthur jump off the cliff into the water, Dutch jumps off the cliff and dies in rdr1.
Another foreshadowing moment was in the mission paying a social call where Bill told Kieran that he was gonna die but he would loose his balls first which would happen in chapter 4 where he would be seen decapitated with his eyes gouged out
Another foreshadowing moment is when Arthur and Dutch gets hunted down by the pinkertons and end up on a cliffside, where dutch tells Arthur "I got a plan Arthur, and this is a good one". Then they jump off the cliff into the water. In red dead redemption Dutch says the same thing to John at the end of the game, and Dutch then jumps of the cliff.
indo j did ya notice about the uncle burying moment he died in the same place where uncle says "u will bury me here" and when he dies he says "go take abigail and jack" in the same place kinda tricky right guys go look at it once

Uncle was sitting exactly where he died when he said that!
Yup
2:09 Uncle is talking to John right where he died
Yep
Another foreshadowing moment was in the mission paying a social call where Bill told Kieran that he was gonna die but he would loose his balls first which would happen in chapter 4 where he would be seen decapitated with his eyes gouged out
I remember seeing uncle laying there the first time and I just thought to myself “Damn, he’s gonna die there too.”
The tree at 5:44 pop out when Dutch is walking
😯
Dutch is a badass, he didn't even flinch.
The tree just came in like "Hey y'all! What'd I miss?"
F1ZZ13 Anonymous "hey there! Did I miss anything"
Also Edgar Ross met Jack on a river while fishing when he was a kid, 15 years later Jack met him in a river while he was fishing and killed him
I don’t know if it was coincidental but when Micah comes out the cabin a rat walked past
Nah they did that shit on purpose lol
I don’t think even the Pinkertins liked Micah, but they went along with it because they knew how selfish Micah was when it came to the gang.
Guess they were
Another foreshadowing moment is when Arthur and Dutch gets hunted down by the pinkertons and end up on a cliffside, where dutch tells Arthur "I got a plan Arthur, and this is a good one". Then they jump off the cliff into the water. In red dead redemption Dutch says the same thing to John at the end of the game, and Dutch then jumps of the cliff.
Only Lumbago killed Uncle, no one else did
indo j did ya notice about the uncle burying moment
he died in the same place
where uncle says "u will bury me here"
and when he dies he says "go take abigail and jack" in the same place
kinda tricky right guys
go look at it once
Man you right ! I noticed the location but not about going there ! Good one and thanks for the comment
@@IndoJordy welcome
Hosea Death hits hard on me He took me out hunting He played a Domino's with me he helped me rescue a kidnapped Child and was excellent conversation
I've noticed something else that was foreshadowed.
In rdr2 there is a character named John Marston, this forshadows that you play as a guy called John Marston in rdr1
