Jeff here, I'd had the same experience Aaron, but Vinnie he seems to have the gift. Next time you have an issue call him...really, really late at night. LOL
If you are working on a hardtop you can use the GM style four gang switch set (can be purchased with the windows). Our experience is that it is tough to mount and make it look good. This is due to the motor being right behind and a little to the rear of the original crank opening. before you hack the door, make a cardboard template of the switch panel and do some trial placements.
@ModeloIbarra Electric Life does not list them for the '67-'68 Cougar but we're pretty sure that the '67-'68 Mustang system will bolt up. The glass, channels and runs are identical on the Mustang Coupe and Cougar for that year so you should be good to go. Electric Life does list power windows for the '69-'70 Cougar.
LOL yeah. probably the hardest thing to show is adjustment and function on a Mustang power window upgrade. Since it happens behind all that sheet metal. Cutting the panel off made it easier to example the part. And no, you don't have to cut the panel off...unless you want to get more air flow into the interior.
As of right now, John no. NPD only lists them up to 1970. And a set of original power windows will really set you back. Keep hoping! Those cars are usually among the last to get parts.
Yep. NPD has power windows in stock for both coupe and fastback. Fronts: Part number 23208-1A/Coupe Rear: 30380-1A
@mickredfox THAT door is toast. It would be a superior candidate for the scrap heap. We have a few more thrills and chills in store for the cut-away door. We are working on a re-skin though. We just have to wait on Mustang Central

i think a great candidate for a video would be converting front drum brakes to rear. I have to do this to my 67 coupe but am unsure how. thanks you guys are great

@AutoRestoMod Actually Alex Meant front brakes. We'll get on that sooner than later.
@alextank16 Alex, we'll look into that. We have about four sets of front drums around here. I'll contact Open Tracker Racing about that when I get back from vacation. Reacently we quizzed John at Open Tracker about his rear brake preference and he prefers rear drum. We'll also contact Muscle Car Brakes about getting their better braking package--if this works into a video =)
Great video as always but I've tried the GraBit at least 20 times following the instructions and it has never once worked for me. They now sit in my junk tool drawer and gather dust. If I break a screw or bold, I just head for the drill and taps.
@ModeloIbarra The part number is: FD61-0070-K. You are in luck,. if you had a '69 with the dread "Glue In (and fall out) glass, you'd have to get new glass as well. Go to: electric-life (put a dot here) com and check them out.
We'd recommend contacting Electric-Life Power Windows direct for that. They may have a universal kit that would work on your car. Just copy and paste the name into your web browser.

We really want to do that Jean, but it requires a transcript to work. We film it as it goes and so would have to hire a person to type in the text. Right now our budget does not support that..
