Kriegers are siege experts meant for drawn out wars of attrition. Cadians are shock troopers, meant to be deployed quickly for rapid raids and strikes. Volpone are frontline heavy infantry, meant to take as well as dish out large amounts of punishment. No real better in this sense.

I have to say the Vitrian Dragoons are my favorite from the Sabbat Worlds crusade. Monsters in battle with a code and philosophy similar to "The Art of War" learned from birth. They are a true Warrior Nation and it shows

Yeah, the only reason the Ghosts stand any chance against them is by using their stealth cloaks and taking advantage of terrain and Volpone arrogance. Other than that, the average Volpone soldier far outclasses the average Tanith soldier in actual combat.

Say it to any of the survivors of the chaos world deep cover operation, you'll not even finish the sentence before being impaled on Tanith silver. Tanith 1st as a whole, is way more utilitarian than almost any other imperial guard force. Only the hyper focused regiments like Elysians, Krieg, Steel Legion etc, are more utilitarian as regiments of infantry. Krieg field combined arms regiments, meaning their infantry always has tanks and artillery that are their own guys, and are in sync and work well together. Elysians for their grav chute airborne deployment favorable methods. Very niche but ultimately able to fill both a mainline deployment and airborne deployment makes them more versatile. And Steel Legion cause they don't use infantry Regiments, they use "mechanised" regiments. Infantry supported by IFV and APCs that are under the same command structure allows for a more potent assault and response force.

Imperial guardsmen but completely kitted out with the best arms and armor that money can buy. Best training money can buy too. Educated. It's like an entire planet of elite stormtroopers. I think this is one of the only representations of spoiled nobility that deviates from the usual motiff of "money bad"

"The Dunderfack Rock-Biters are one of the worst regiments in imperial history; they have been annihilated more times than any remembrancer cares to record, but theirs is a populous planet that managed to get it's entire tithe set to exported Guard battalions. The Astra Militarum has frequently petitioned for Dunderfack to be exempted from it's tithes, but the cogs of bureaucracy turn glacially in the Imperium, and so they must continue to suffer their presence.
