I searched for months for just the right macrame wall hanging pattern to make for my daughter, and this was IT! The pattern worked up pretty quickly and your instructions were excellent. I wish I could upload a picture of the finished product -- I used a smaller cord so I did this exact pattern in the middle and then two smaller "diamond" lengths on the side. It was a lot of fun! Thank you for posting these instructions!
What a great tutorial but also each step is repeated a couple of times and then fast forward to the next step. I am new to macrame but this will be my first project and you have given me the confidence to pull it off.
Thank you very much for such an excellent explanation. I just finished my first one thanks to you. Mine not as beautiful as yours ofc. The beginning of the first diamond was a bit difficult but then everything went fine. Thanks again
I just bought some macrame cord for the first time and am nervous about starting cuz it looks difficult but this tutorial actually seems doable and it’s so cute! I’m gonna try it. I saw another comment saying they’re gonna try adding a shelf, and I love that idea! I might attempt my first diy project with this. Thank you for sharing and having such in-depth instructions!
that is so sweet of you, I appreciate it more than you know! :) Congrats on ordering your first supplies, get ready to be addicted to macrame! If you need help, let me know, I do my best to check in here at least once a day...
This is explained so well! I just bought a small macrame wall hanging kit to try and the instructions are not easy to follow and the photos are far too small to see clearly. I have learned how to do this in minutes by watching your video! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing. Your videos are so helpful and easy to understand. I did this for my first attempt but used smaller rope and just carried on with the pattern, I was very happy with the results. Please keep sharing 🙏🏻💖xx
Love it! Thank you for sharing the sizes of ropes! Nothing worse than having to waste a lot of rope! I save mine to make smaller pieces but I don’t like to do that if I don’t have to.
I’m happy you like it! Although it was pointed out that I had made a mistake in the description and forgot to put in there the 115in ropes! I did say it in the video and I hope it didn’t cause confusion if you tried it!
Fantastic tutorial. Thank you for sharing! What is the thickness of the dowel in your video if you can share please? There are loads of different options on Amazon and I am a little lost of what which one to get.
Hermoso!!!gracias por mostrar tan detalladamente, me siento feliz porque estoy aprendiendo algo que me encanta y en un futuro pienso iniciar un negocio. Gracias, gracias, gracias. Saludos desde Uruguay ❤

Oh that is such a great idea!!! Make sure to cute extra length , 6mm twisted will definitely need extra cordage! Thanks so so much for taking the time to write this, it means a lot to me!🙏🏼🙏🏼
I just made my first one and it came out amazing. I would like to make it double the width. Would I just double the amount of cords for each length? So instead of 2 I would do 4? Or would the extra cords need to be different lengths like between the 60" and 75" for instance.

I believe they have changed the sizes, this went up to 5mm a short while ago, it may be the 6mm now because it is much thicker than the Bobbiny 5mm!

Please read the description
Hi..
1)Can I use 3mm cord with same measurements? Wil that be fine?
2) if a cord length is 155 cm then that wil be total length of cord right ( 155 cm we need to fold it with equal length)? Is it?
Yours response will be appreciated
Thank you ❤
Yes 3mm is fine, lengths can stay the same, it will be skinnier though so you may want to add on cords. And if a cord length says 155cm, that is the actual cord length!
Hi what’s the diameter of the rod you used for this wall hanging? I’ve got my cord, all I need to get is my dowel and I wasn’t sure how thick it should be. Looking forward to starting my 1st macrame project 😀
This one was either 3/4 inch or 1inch. The diameter doesn’t really matter though, but the length does!
Thank you for your quick response, I’m heading to my local craft store today so will see what they have. I can’t wait to get started 😁
No worries, I’m happy to be of help! But one more thing, I get my dowel from the lumbar store. I buy a long one, cut it, sand it and stain it myself. It is MUCH cheaper and they have wayyy more selection to choose from!
How do you keep the ends from curving out a lot from the knots? Mine isn’t straight on the edges. The ends are sticking out
Try a hair straightener on low setting, just make sure it is only used on cotton cord though!
@@soulfulnotions2648 ok thank you!! Which brand of cord do you recommend? Yours seems heavier and better quality than mine!
Before starting we have to fold the threads in half, so the measurements 60in... Are before folding or after folding?
What ever the length is stated is the actual length of the cord. Then you fold it in half.
I am going to try it ,so
Thank you so much❤ for your reply and also your artwork is really beautiful❤❤Keep it up☺

60 inches would be the total length when u cut the cord.
Awesome, thank you for the clarification!
No worries!
Where do you get your dark wood dowels?
I but then from lumbar store, cut, sand and stain them myself:)
Love this
thanks so much!!!
Will window sashing cord work for this? It is 4.7mm
I'm not entirely sure what window stashing cord is, but that is very close in size, and if it is a somewhat structured cord, it should be fine! :)
Hello! I want to make this wider, how do you recommend I do it?
Add more cords in the center making them a few inches longer than the original center cords:)
In fact , I would probably make all cords a bit longer to make room for the extra knots!
@@soulfulnotions2648 Thank you!
You’re welcome! Let me know if you need more help!:)
