This is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing the detailed instructions. I plan to use 3mm single ply cord. Can you tell me if I need to use more or less cord cuttings? Thanks in advance!
That’s so kind of you, thank you!🙏🏼 I think using 3mm you could get away with cutting about 4-6 inches less, maybe more but I’d be careful! Also because it is a thinner cord, you may want to add and extra of the floating square knots, just to make to opening a decent size, but that’s something you can experiment, and play around with:)
I used 2 mm cotton cord and it turned out great overall. However, I added extra floating knots and if I do this again would add extra of the beginning set of strings (the attached / semi-floating knots) so the triangle portion of the back side is more proportional in size to the any additional floating knots. I did not modify the length of the strings and it was enough without too much extra waste. Good luck!
Hello !!! I want to do this really cute nest but i don't want to have the long cord below... how long should be my cords for just the nest ? Thank you so much !!!!
You can close the bottom like I did on this pattern. ♥️ DIY: MINI MACRAME NESTING PODS | EASY MACRAME POD | MACRAME TUTORIAL ua-cam.com/video/kyOOVytIHoY/v-deo.html
This is such a detailed and easy to follow tutorial, thank you so much. I'm wondering if I could possibly make this larger with the knots more spaced out for a looser weave (for a fruit basket) Do you think that would work? Would I need to change the lengths much? Also, is there a way to end the basket without the hanging cords at the bottom? for a more simple look? I'm new to macrame so this is all very new to me. Thanks so much for sharing!
I think you should definitely check out my tutorial for a basket. It has the closed bottom, I’m the video I made the large mustard one BUT I also have allll the course lengths for the black size as well. I think that will be what you’re looking for:)
Thank you so so much! I get all of my cord from Ganxxet! Use code soulfulnotions at check out for a 10% discount if you decide to grab anything there:)
Hello! Im a macrame beginner and im wondering if this is beginner friendly i rlly looove this basket im wondering if its not to hard but great tutorial keep going! :3
I wouldn’t say this is a great project for beginners unfortunately. I do have lots of slower paced, step by step tutorials specially for beginners though! Once you have the brains down I’d say you are good to try this one. You can always watch the video first and if it looks like something you understand then you should try!
This is beautiful, if I wanted to make this twice the size I can see that I would have to double the amount of float cords but do I double the length of all the cords also. My daughter has asked me to make something like this for her nursery to keep baby toys or such in them (of course she wants 2 lol)
Thank you! I think you should see my tutorial for the basket, it has the same loop and in the video I make the mustard one which is pretty huge and in the description I give the cord measurements etc for the black sized one as well. I hope this helps:)

@@sarahhowieson1255 that really means a lot to me! thank you!!! I made the mustard basket for the same reason, storage for my daughters toys, but knowing how big I wanted the actual basket to be, I decided to create a pattern with no fringe at the bottom instead because I wanted to save cordage because to make something so big uses up SO MUCH!!! I hope it all works out for you, if you need help, just let me know, I do my best to check in at least once a day to answer questions.:)

That was so beautiful and really nice to watch. Wonderful. The best out of all tutorials. A little tip: background music would add a bit of more relaxation feel to it. Just a thought. Well done! You are very talented and a very good teacher
Thank you for your kind words and feedback! Although I do agree with you, I tend to get quite a few complaints and very low CPM when I add music!
Just Love it !!? Thank you!¡
Can I do this with 3mm cord or would the measurements be off? Ty for the video!
Yes absolutely! Depending on the type of 3mm, it might just be a bit smaller….♥️♥️
Awesome artwork💕💕😍
So kind of you, thank you so very much:)
hey.. wish i can comment with pictures to show you what i've made.
thank you for the very clear instructions.
Oh no way, I wish you could too! If you’re on Instagram you can show me there, my name is @soulful__notions (2 underscores) I’d love to see your finished work:):) 🙏🏼
Vc é uma benção
That is so kind, thank you! Love from Canada ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hi! Have made this using 5mm cord and it turned out great! Was wondering if you can make using 3mm? Xxx
You definitely can make it with 3mm!
Thanks a lot,, Wonderful
❤️❤️😊😊
Good luck!
lovely!
Thank you so much:)
Beautiful❤
Thank you so much 😊

Thank you so much🤩
You’re so welcome ☺️☺️🙏🏼🙏🏼
Muito lindo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤩
Thank you so much hun!
beautiful :)
Thank you so much!🙏🏼❤️
This is such a detailed and easy to follow tutorial, thank you so much.
@@soulfulnotions2648 thank you! Yes, that hanging basket is great, I'll have to try it out!
Muito lindo!🇧🇷❤️
❤️🙏🏼😊
Yes your voice is soothing. Quick question where do you get your chord. Thank for sharing the video.
Thank you so so much! I get all of my cord from Ganxxet! Use code soulfulnotions at check out for a 10% discount if you decide to grab anything there:)
@@soulfulnotions2648 I shall use the code plus I did subscribe to your channel. Much success to you!
Awesome! And thanks for subscribing! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️
This looks so good! May I ask what size pot it can hold once finished? :)
I believe this one was perfect for 4-5 inches:),
Espectacular.
Thank you sooo much 😊❤️🙏🏼
This is awesome!! 😍 What color is this? 😊
Thank you! It’s a blush colour..
Woaa. I don't know it take to many cord , length to this small beauty.
I know right..
Hello!! I love this so much. I was wondering if you knew what size pot would fit inside of this? 😊
I believe this one was around 6 inches. If you want it bigger or smaller all you have to do is either add or take away some of those floating knots:)
Soulful Notions thank you! I wanted to make one for my 6 inch pot so this is perfect 😊
@@soulfulnotions2648 thank you so much I have just watched the mustard basket one and will try and make that, you make wonderful tutorials and make it all so easy to follow 😃
This is very beautiful and explained clearly. Please let me know if I can use 5mm twisted or braided rope ? Will the outcome be as shown or what difference will it make ? Thank you so much!
I think it will be a lot bigger, and a lot thicker and you will have to use more length for each cord
beautiful!
Thank so much hun, I really appreciate your kind comments!🙏🏼😊❤️
Hi it's a lovely macrame pattern
Can you tell me what is the size of it ?
Very good bravo 1000 like
THANK YOU!!! You're so kind! :)
How long does a project like this take you? It's beautiful!
Thank you! Well, if I weren’t teaching it, an hour? Maybe less, but I knot fast lol
@@soulfulnotions2648 wow. We'll you've inspired me to try this. If I calculated correctly, I will need a total of 190', I have 274' left...I'm new and this would be my 2nd project lol. I'm aiming high 😁
Thanks for the inspiration😊
Hermosoooo!! !
