E. Quartier & Son Locle 18k Minute Repeater Pocket Watch with Bow Setting

This Quartier pocket watch has had bow setting added. Originally the watch was pin or nail set at the edge of the case. The watch has been modified such that if the bow is turned 90 degrees towards the dial the hands may be set. When the bow is turned 90 degrees towards the case back the watch may be wound. The watch is a minute repeater meaning it chimes or sounds out the elapsed hours, quarter hours and minutes when the slide in the case is activated. The movement of the watch has two hammers that strike two gongs to make the sound. This is a high grade watch with many cap jewels and gold jewel settings. Additionally it has wolf's tooth winding wheels. A Swiss made pocket watch.
