I haven't done anything with physical models but I've been dabbling with STL kitbashing using meshmixer to extract aspects I like or work to change the pose of a few things. Been having some fun while trying to learn something new with my amateurish attempts.
You went all out for this, so many techniques! The acrylic pour was beautiful! And as much as I still want to call them sphincter face, I think you successful guided it away from that anatomy and instead created something frightening that would feel at home in a Guillermo del Toro-esque universe. I really appreciate seeing the before and after that include the original Skeletor figure, too.
I came here from Jazza's channel and to see him actually have kind of a role here really cracked me up. I think that's what makes the Monster Bash such a good idea. Besides, I feel these strange Pan's Labyrinth vibes when looking at this pale eye-less demon.
This and doll customs are so different but so similiar in nature. I love watching things transform even more than things being made from scratch. The transformation was amazing! Good job!
I too find myself sometimes cutting away some of my underwear to get into a deeper stance. This turned out awesome, your paintjobs are always so smooth!!
You made Skeletor mega-creepy! You have a dynamic pose, and some really cool texture and colouring techniques, for the creature and the base he strides across.
First time watching a video of yours and I'm just blown away with the work you did here! The sculpting of that face and the marble effect stand out so much here. Too bad you didn't make a sculpt of that head, I'm sure many would have loved to have a variant of that.
Love how that acrylic pour turned out! I didn't think it'd make such a fantastic marble and it was so cool to see how you used it and toned that color down. Such a cool sculpt and paint job.
I clicked to see how you modified a Skeletor and I was not disappointed. Great work! I love how you were able to sculpt something and give the figure a distinctly bizarre feel to it.
It's amazing what a little creativity and a whole lot of skill can achieve. I would have never guessed your monster was based off of a Mattel Skeletor. I really like all the work that you did to the head. The horns and ears are my favorite customizations that you did.
When I started watching I about had a heart attack because I thought you were cutting up an 80's skeletor figure and not a junk remake , but glad it wasn't original , your monster came out great
I wanted to say to each of you that I think the best part of the entire collaboration is that you all stated that you tried something you might not have without the push of the collaboration. That means it was a I've successfully for all of you and every one of us watching! Bravo to the group!
I'm impressed by the acrylic pour floor. I wasn't sure that cardboard would be the best substrate for it, but it seems to have held up fairly well. Fantastic job!
The creature's face makes me think that somebody once used an axe on its face in an attempt to kill it; only for the creature to rip the axe out and continue on! :>
This is so rad! This monster bash project is such a good idea for crafters/beginners wanting to try a new approach. Inspired by everyones videos! Hope ya’ll do this again next year.
Skeletor has become a force for good. I really enjoyed seeing his Milliput head, like he was wearing a swim cap. The whole video is just super inspiring, thank you
omg! using an acrylic pour for marble, you get such varied and natural looking pieces from that technique, such an amazing idea! overall a really cool build.
That was mighty cool! I've not the skills (yet) to do a kit bash of this magnitude, for sure, but the emphasis is on "yet". My boy, as it happens, is planted on my lap in an effort to keep me from getting up to go to my painting table as we speak, but he's about to get a very rude awakening along the lines of "BOY. MOVE. NOW." Ruin is awaiting further work, and cat be danged.
You are FAR braver than I. Milliput and I do not seem to get along...at all. I switched over to Apoxie Sculpt which is a bit more forgiving towards me (especially if you let it set for 30 minutes after mixing it). Your ear trick was inspired! As far as "wanting to draw eyes to the face," I don't see how you could not have them drawn there! ;) The paint job is truly superb and that base is Damned near beyond belief! :) Thank you for proving us this most excellent content!!!
Wow this turned out so amazing!! I had no idea how far your skills spread. The painting, the sculpting, the creating, and then editing of your videos even! Wow.
So I was watching some of your painting tutorials with my wife after discovering your channel on my lunch break the other day, and then you upload this. I nerded out to her about it because she's been doing acrylic pours lately, and I thought it was a funny coincidence. Then I come home from work yesterday and she's watching Zan's video of his monster from this challenge! I love overlaps in our creative viewing content.
The model is so super cool that I can almost forgive that a Skeletor Fiugur was mistreated here. As a precaution, I left a subscription to make sure that this doesn't happen to any other Masters figure ... ;) Keep up the good sculpting work!
You can put horns, ears and color as you want, but it'll still be sphincter face! Seriously tho, what an incredible build. The attention to details is amazing, the result is a masterpiece!
I never knew about your channel before this monster bash thing but holy hell you deserve this subscribe. So many amazing techniques and your ability with them is bafflingly great. Beautiful job
Ahhh I loved seeing you do all these crazy techniques and I hope you end up doing more kitbash craziness 😁 Also the hot glue mold was brilliant *chef’s kiss*
Came out fantastic! Nice job Lyla! Making my way through all the collab videos and this was one great idea for a collab so good to see it had a "round 2"!
Do you kit bash? What is your dream "bash"?
Those feet are super cursed! Excellent job!
For a kitbash dream...I would love to have a 40k army or Necromunda Gang based off borderlands
I love Kitbashing, going to make it a central part of my channel, just kitbashed up a squig for squig day too :)
@@nofuxgivens2797 and i am just painting details on the 500pt 40K marine squad for the collab im in! will be giving away all the armies XD
Yeah I always use random thrift store funds to make terrain and monsters for D&D. I just want to be able to go back to the thrift store soon!

He does look like a Del Toro creature and the end result looks beautiful!
You somehow managed to make Sphincter-face look EPIC!! hahaha - yeah sorry about that one ;P
Thank you!! I think that little clip is one of the best of the video.
No ones going to talk about how jazza made a He-Man look cooler i feel like you two were watching to many old cartoons
I bought skeletor and the very next day Jazz’s released his he-man video.
Classic Jazza 🤦🏼♀️😆👍
I came here from Jazza's channel and to see him actually have kind of a role here really cracked me up. I think that's what makes the Monster Bash such a good idea. Besides, I feel these strange Pan's Labyrinth vibes when looking at this pale eye-less demon.
That marble floor effect is a real showstopper. I'd definitely be interested on seeing further explorations and elaborations on it.
Same
This and doll customs are so different but so similiar in nature. I love watching things transform even more than things being made from scratch. The transformation was amazing! Good job!
From toy to epic monster, I love the colors on the standbase, they look stunning.
Thank you!
"This was the most controversial card, drawn by jazza"
Me: "of course it was"
I too find myself sometimes cutting away some of my underwear to get into a deeper stance. This turned out awesome, your paintjobs are always so smooth!!
I have to say that I am thrilled that I don’t have that problem!
That mold tip, for the ears is so cool. Your monster is awesome! Loved it.
Just finished my monster bash marathon. Awesome builds all round, it's great to see creators being pushed out of their comfort zone. 😎

That's an amazing conversion, and the base is full of smart ideas.
Love how that acrylic pour turned out! I didn't think it'd make such a fantastic marble and it was so cool to see how you used it and toned that color down. Such a cool sculpt and paint job.
Thank you! My next attempt will be a lot better.
Turned out awesome! The marble effect is epic

I actually own the original somewhere!
@@LylaMev I also plus snapback version n battle chest version of both he man n skeletor.. Ahah childhood
👨🏽🎨 you hit the nailon the head! (Complimentary colors)
Something that many artists miss
The end result looks incredible! 😍
Outstanding! And, you managed to avoid “sphincter face”!

Fun video! Amazing monster sculpture created by pure imagination and items off the department store shelves!
Such a fun project, so good to meet you Lyla!
I'm impressed by the acrylic pour floor. I wasn't sure that cardboard would be the best substrate for it, but it seems to have held up fairly well. Fantastic job!
I’m so glad I found these videos! All of you are awesome! Have a great day!!
Cool project. Fun to watch! Thanks for sharing.
Great model. That floor is insane!
Super cool & interesting technique for the marble. Would love to see more on how to create and implement it.
Such an impressive final result!
This has been a really cool project to watch! I may need to draw my own cards and give it a shot.
Everything is epic about this!!! The hot glue casting tip is awesome as well thanks for that 🙌🙌
I love that you don't just say what you do, but *why* you do it. Thank you!
marble floor is sick, you going to see mini people doing this very soon! thanx for the awesome idea 💡
This guy would be right at home in any Castlevania game. Nice one!
Fantastic build and conversion and some great tips in this vid! 👍
That marble floor came out beautifully! Really cool

Acrylic pouring looks so cool. Your model came out great and I love your base.
That model looks great! Thanks for sharing it with us. That marble came out awesome!
Thank you! It was a lot of fun to do!
Fantastic Keeper of secrets kitbash 😁nice colour transitions on scythe!
Amazing transformation, the attention to the painting step ups this creation to another level!
Amazing paint job! The marble base is super cool💪
You went above and beyond with modding the legs!
This is a seriously EPIC conversion! Well done :) Hands down the best entry in the competition if you ask me.
This is so cool. Your painting skills are unreal.

What an amazing mini!! The way you created the marble flooring is SO COOL!
Love love love this you were clearly born to create.
So sweet!
You made skeletor look so terrifying. Amazing job on the creation.
Super awesome. I really liked the textured ground.
Your creation would make Guillermo del Toro proud. Great work!
Wow! That is wicked! You really are an amazing source of inspiration. Now I need to find a toy store.
Very cool use of skeletor. Also best hairstyle yet!
Awesome! Great to find another channel too!
Holy moley, the acrylic pour technique for flooring is amazing.
Simply amazing how you transformed the Skelator figure into that monstrous creation. Just amazing!
This is fabulous. You really knocked this one out of the park!
One of my faves from this collab. Thank you for sharing! Marie
Wow, not sure which part of this is the most impressive. Amazing work all round.
That means so much!
Skeletor has become a force for good. I really enjoyed seeing his Milliput head, like he was wearing a swim cap. The whole video is just super inspiring, thank you
that hot glue mold trick is genius, great kit bash! you inspired me to kit bash
Wow nice! Really enjoyed cork base, worthy of showing off even without a miniature on top :)
omg! using an acrylic pour for marble, you get such varied and natural looking pieces from that technique, such an amazing idea! overall a really cool build.
I legit said "witchcraft" when I saw the finished marble effect.
Amazing job on the whole mini.
Outstanding process of inspiration to end piece of art! I really love the idea of the monster mash random generator. Totally stealing the idea!
A lot of imagination and it paid off. Good job!

Lol! Of COURSE jazza drew that one! 🤣🤣🤣
i like the quick mold with hot glue! your project turned out so cool 👍

Fantastic video, my favorite villain made (altered) by my favorite painter teacher person. ROCK ON
Amazing result! Mind blown!
The transformation is incredible, the colours are so wonderful and the marble technique is such a great idea. Nailed it Lyla!!

It turned out absolutely amazing!
I love the figure!!! Can easily see it being a deformed and creepier version of a minotaurs
Incredible job, absolutely love this!
