Children graves from the bronze age is not a sad topic. It shows that from a very early age they had high morals and treated even children with utmost respect! Contrary perhaps to popular beliefs!

We are a country of preppers! ;) It's sort of true...we used to have emergency storage of large amounts of grain.
But we sort of have to be prepared for things to happen. Last year we lost a lot of roads to Hans in the fall. A couple of years ago we had this storm that took out electricity for several days and blocked roads by trees falling over them. And then there are the winters.
This is mostly a problem in rural areas...

@2:35 The roads in Norway are divided up in a hierarchy. National roads have green number signs on them and is the gov. responsibility. Next is county roads, these can be numbered with white signs or not. Trollstigen is a county road. And below these are municipal roads like residential areas and such that the local municipalities own and operate.
Problem is that many of the roads signed and classified as national tourist roads are county roads, but the gov. don't want to help fund them and leave it to the counties.

Just a correction. Green signs indicate a European road, that is normally crossing borders - i.e E45 fra Denmark to Italy. Of domestic roads there are 4 types depending on who is responsible and pays for everything. Riksvei - which is state responsibility and connection regions, fylkesvei connecting within the region (fylke), kommunal vei, that is roads within the municipality, and finally private roads which may or may not be open for the public.

@@hansmonsen1359 Green number signs are also on national roads that are not E-routes. Please don't confuse the old system where the white number signs indicate " øvrige riksveier". That changed back in 2010 when the government transferred these roads to the counties.
      The longest (>200km) national roads, that are not E-routes, are 13, 3, 7, 9 and 5.
There are 42 national roads that are not E-routes.

I love that we are prepared❤. Not only for conflict, but for the climate to change, because it is changing...and fast. US should have policies for the future..More futuristic thinking. I saw the presidential depate and nothing futuristic... Sad actually.

The disagreement on who should pay for the repairs is between the government and the county and there is some private ownership involved as well.
I have just been there once. But if I remember correctly there are not many people if any depending on the road. It's even closed serval months of the year. There are other ways around.

The seed vault are if any countries would lose their historical important flowers, food etc. etc. if the climate would kill it so we could reproduce it again.
But, this grain are for our norwegian popultation so it should be last for at least 3 months for the norwegian people if there would be a war or more difficult times too import grain.
3 months ain't much, but it's better then nothing.
I love that norway are thinking about the future for any kinda of risk. I really hated that they removed it, but have now finaly decided too have some grain. That's good news.
Btw. we have been producing missiles for a long time through companies here in Norway.
Too produce a electrical car you would be needed 1kg of it (neodymium), and in Telemark there it was discovered it they found about 1,500,000,000 kilo of it.
So it's extremly huge discovery and not long time ago we did also found last few years for example: Eigersund they found some other minerals for ten of billions usd value and we have also found for 4 years ago a discovered field of gold, silver, cobber right outside Svalbard for hundreds of billions of usd and we have also discovered phosphate value for trillions of usd (if the numbers are correct that's all of the existing phosphate rest of the world combined. So we don't need too worry about the economy for a long time. Specially when we are thinking about the oilfund that already exist. $1,661 trillion in value today.
One of my friend are little bit worry about when they are going too begin with the phosphate field because he lives next door and alot of his beatiful view will be gone, but it's seem that they have starting too working on it some areas near it. It's a balanced of how much Norway are willing too sacrifice the nature and the materials they are mining, but the value of the discovery are too much too ignore it.

About the child graves: The ages of the children reveals a lot. Before modern time life expectancy was pretty low. But that's not because people died earlier. It's because of the high rate of child deaths.
