Here’s the blotter update...
- I can’t say this grows smoother as it develops. The woods in the base begin to take over and they add a rough edge to the lavender note in the heart. Whether this makes the overall effect more ‘intense’ or more ‘crude’ will be a matter of personal taste, I expect.

I have just been back to wearing OG Le Male, And still to this date one of the best fragrances of all time, I have never sampled Ultra Male or La Parfum, But Le Male all the way 👌🏼

A review that piqued my interest, as I have an unopened can next to me. I still have a 'Coffret Voyage Le Male' from 1996 and the Russian Doll Christmas edition from 1997.
Hmm...faint, or damning(?) praise for Le Parfum. I don't understand the hate (social media has made otherwise lovely people cruel and brutal). I read an opinion piece on perfumery that said "most designers approach their fragrance offerings just like airlines approach their in-flight meals." so I expect this will be comfortingly familiar.

Yes, “comfortingly familiar” is probably right in this case, except maybe towards the drydown, when things veer away a bit from “comforting.”
Gaultier can “flank” off. The house is boring since kokorico. I’ve stocked up on vintage le Male so I’m sorted for life. I won’t touch any more from the house. Funny I wrote this before you mentioned kokorico lol we know our stuff!!!
It’s a shame that Kokorico didn’t do better.

I tried le male le parfum yesterday
Its is a caradom spicey frag with some sweetness but i found the projection to be average 2 hours but longivetiy was good 6to 8hours
Its ok but i feel cartier pasha parfum is better on both counts and also tom ford black orchid parfum is pretty good
I not sure if i will purchase this le male
