I'm always amazed at the Dr office, they walk me in, strap on the cuff right away, ask me questions, the tell me my pressure is too high.

  • @christiangrl45

Wow, that's what I told me husband when they took his blood pressure at the doctor, and it was high. They took it without waiting 5v minutes, and also no back support, and his right arm dangling down. She immediately wanted him in 3 meds and get Cardo exams. He also has severe back pain, and it was severe at the time of his appointment because of waiting for the next time he can take them. He's very about his schedule management. Because he was in so much pain, it was too high 160 I think, bottom 85. At home when he is in meds and does it the correct way, it's 100/73, so wow, you are totally right about how you take it. We are both cutting out sugar. We take high quality calcium magnesium with vitamin D. Mine is not high at all if I don't drink coffee. I don't want him on those meds. They garden the lining of your heart and give you heart attacks. That doesn't make sense to give drugs when you can fix it yourself but eating right, and like you said, taking blood pressure correctly ❤

Thank you Dr. Sung. I would like to add that losartan can cause a nasty upper back ache if one should not use it. It did this to me and I had been warned by a nurse to watch out for it. Some of us simply can't take it.

  • @schoggaia

Coughing and pain will also increase BP and the tricky one is the stressed physician or nurse who is measuring the BP 😂

How about potassium? 98% of the people don't consume the 4800 MG needed.

  • @lowbarb

Learned this the other at the doctor... My dad sleeve was too SMALL for his arm. So we went from a M-L to XL and it showed a 15 point difference!!!!!!

  • @sethaaron95

I take Metroprolol for heart rate issues after Covid, it took my BP from 120/80 to 90/60-100/60, I developed cold fingers and feet most of the time, and daily red hot blood pooling flares in my feet and fingers, like swollen skin and bulging veins , have you ever heard of such a thing occurring from beta blockers or from BP being that low?

  • @kalkeikuu

Hi. Do you know what and how to lower adrenaline/cortisol? I am taking Labetalol. It is the only medication that works the most. Everything else doesn't lower my severely high blood pressure. I am a blood type O+.

  • @Yvonne60945

Wow, I was measuring it every day while drinking my first cup of coffee. Update tomorrow.

  • @LouAnnBeuke

Thank You. Very good information. You are right, BP often done incorrectly. Lifestyle changes can have amazing results, especially if begun early in the process and often overlooked or underemphasized.

  • @throngcleaver

    Great stuff, Doc!

  • @bluwtrgypsy

  • @Famcke

❣️ - Must watch video!! We all need to know this!

  • @bobbichamberlain718

Great info. Would love to see a deep dive on the reverse. Low blood pressure.

  • @Smaffs59

Excellent video. Should you measure using your right arm or left arm?

  • @bobpattison1739

🫶your approach to sharing your knowledge 👍

  • @marydd4147

Thank you for this informative video!! My only concern is that Mg at 600 mg could affect heart rate?

  • @Shediffferent

Does the wrist b/p cuff throw off the reading as well?
