@@ls1_cammeroh got really lucky was best friend. he just let it sit for years and years. i rode it more then him in 2 years and that was only 3 times. then one day he said make offer. i said 5 he said deal. should have said 300 ahahahah
@@strangeblocks5756 If you spent 500 bucks then running it "till it blows" sounds like a real plan. LOL. If you're lucky you'll destroy the top end and then the crank and gearbox can get all wrecked as well. That should be around $2,000 right there to replace all of that if it isn't too far gone.
how did you get clutch tight enough??? please help. bought motion pro cable was tad longer. so bought oem and def shorter. but still way to much slack. got new perch also. any advice? thanks
@@NextProjects yeah i went that route too. got same one i think you do in video. made a post on thumpertalk with pics if interested. no clue how owner had in working before me. but thank you so much
I have a 93/94 yz 250 needing resto but I'm wondering if you guys can advise on how or where I can get headstock bearing to convert my cr500 triples with 2010 CRF triples
Hello, good video! I wanted to ask you what country you are from, I'm from Argentina! I have one of those 1993 YZ 250 motorcycles and I can't find spare parts, I wanted to know if there is anything in your country
@@NextProjects Here in Argentina, unfortunately, I can't get those gears, first speed... nor the set of gaskets to reassemble the engine... it's the only thing I'm missing but I already searched all over my country.
Looking sweet! Currently busy with the exact same model, got some great tips from your build, one question? Did you leave the rear shock standard? If so, do you know if a '06 will fit?
@@Solihull.landscapes The 4 strokes are much heavier than the 2 strokers. I'd just buy a genuine OEM for your year bike. There are plenty of them around if you look for them.
Waste of time and money. Plus it looks horrible. Next time restore one to stock with all OEM parts from 1993 and you will have a nice collectable to keep in your man cave.
i have got one 92.....im getting ready these years were the best bikes
I agree! I have an aluminum frame bike that just collects dust now!
just bought one of these for 500 bucks. runs and all. gonna run it till it blows and prob restore is the goal thanks for inspiration
Wish I could find one for 500 bucks

Great job, getting ready to restore my 94
Thanks! Good luck with your resto!
@@NextProjects Restoring MX bikes make no sense as they get roached as soon as you ride them again.
Turned out sharp 👌, looks like a fun project.
wow sss forks on a 93? thats wild!!!
Turned out mint 👌 great job man.
Thanks 👍
I’m curious to where you ran your throttle cable to the carb ,
Looks mint!

Where did you get your stickers at?
Very nice. Some more footage of it would be nice
There a whole detailed build series on this bike on my page.
@@NextProjects You put Tagasako "signature" Excel rims on that thing? How much was the total spend including initial purchase?
How did you source a cylinder for this bike please and tanks ready to freshen my 93 can’t find anything on the cylinder
I used the original cylinder and had it bored over
Id like to buy it when your ready to let go😂

I bought an adjustable perch from pro taper and that helped. Hope this info is helpful!

love it
Clarke tanks i think make the YZ tank. Thats the WR tank. Will look alot better with the tank. I have 2x 94 yz. great bikes
Thanks! I'll be ordering one
Looks like a WR fuel tank. Too big to be a YZ?
Ya, I think you are right

The rear shock is not standard. I put the 06 yz450f rear shock in, direct bolt in. No mods needed. 👍
I'm assuming 06 to 09 yzf250/450 rear shock are similar .. will fit my 93/95 yz250 ,, is that correct lads or not , please advise
