I have had a few people ask if the coin the buyer shipped back could be a different coin. Here is a link to the ANACS coin unboxing where I show the coin in the anacs holder. I believe the coin is the same but you guys can compare the 2 and see what you think. Thank you for all of the feedback!

Ebay should at least enforce a policy that once a coin is removed from its holder in the original sale (whether by the purchaser or by a grading service), it's considered sold and not returnable for any reason unless it's counterfeit.

@@swilliams937 I agree! Unfortunately, eBay has not really made any effort to regulate the buying and selling of coins on their site and have failed to take this into consideration when a return is initiated. I doubt things will change but I hope in the future sellers will get some protection as well.

Best thing to do with all listings is to include a 95% restocking fee with all descriptions on all listings. Happily take the item back, but as long as you have the restocking fee, you'll only lose 5%. It's unlikely scammers will ever buy from you if you have a restocking fee.

Hasn't been an issue so far and over several years. If there's truly anything wrong with whatever I ship..as in not functional or not as described, I'll happily resolve the issue. It's primarily to stop scammers from returning something other than what was shipped (like an empty box or a regraded coin) or claim lost items 3 months after delivery.

I, as you have along with many others here in the comments have been taken advantage of on ebay. I sold Morgan dollars, Mexican libertabs and other coins for over 10 years on there but came to an abrupt stop a couple years ago. I grew tired of the increasing scammers.
On the flip side , I don't understand how some sellers continually get away with noticably deceptive pictures..the name a couple, Morgan Dealer, Auction Kings Rare Coins... I'm sure there's more but I see these two all the time.
Lastly, it does no good reporting scam auctions such as fake coins. I bet I've reported over 30 this year and never saw one pulled down.

To be honest, I’m not sure. They guy that bought my coin had 100% positive feedback with I believe over 700 feedback. My recommendation would be to be weary of those with small feedback and don’t sell high end coins that could hurt you financially if you get scammed.

I sold a PS3 on eBay many years ago and they claimed it was not as described gutted the whole thing took out the hard drive and put in a bad hard drive and then sent it back really really cheap and underhanded but that was when they had PayPal recently they poured melted plastic on a high-end coin I bought but it didn't affect the bidding at all I still got it for a good deal and I think they put a shield bitter in there and then I complained and then they took the ad down I didn't get ripped off but still it was extremely weird

It was really funny... they thought pouring melted plastic on the coin was going to cover up the wear but it actually caused people to be less for it tell the joke was on them I was the one who took the chance that it was melted plastic and I scraped it off and it was a decent coin.
