I really like Floette as a Pokemon and I find the fact that Eternal Flower Floette never got released fascinating. It didn't feel like a Eternamax Eternatus where broke the conventions of Pokemon stats just to be a boss battle. ETF was like a fully functional Pokemon that couldn't see the light of day because Pokemon Z got scrapped. I really hope they don't miss the second opportunity they have to include it.
Eternal Floette was Bloodmoon Ursaluna before Bloodmoon Ursaluna, I hope it becomes playable.

What if it’s introduced as a paradox Pokemon called “Eternal Flower” that’s Fairy/Ghost
I would love if it was introduced as a Paradox Pokemon. It even has a more than suitable name ready to go in "Eternal Flower". Floette's are found in Area Zero. Area Zero... AZ. It all fits together so nicely! Or well, a plot following these connected themes could work so well if written well.

The fact that Legends Z-A is coming out on the Switch in 2025 should somewhat reduce those videos.

@@DaSheepKiller But wouldn’t a (purely hypothetical) switch 2 also fit into said family? Personally I doubt it’s coming on the new console since GF doesn’t really do quick console transitions and this game’s probably only been indev for like a year, but it’s still a possibility right?

The real question is: will Pokemon Z-A finally acknowledge Ash-Greninja? You have Z-A. That A has to stand for something. It's either 1, 2 or all of the following: Ash-Greninja, AZ and his Floette and artificial pokemon. And we have a reference to Ash Greninja in Nemona's house, not to mention the obvious reference of artificial pokemon through future paradox mons. They also changed Light of Ruin's description I believe, so that could be a subtle hint to AZ.
One more thing. Considering the player character from DPP got yeeted back in time thanks to Arceus in PLA, it's not unlikely that the player character gets similarly yeeted back in time in PLZA. But instead of Arceus, the reason would be something completely different altogether. Pay close attention to the title Pokemon Legends: Z-A. In other words, Z through A, as in a progression from Z to A, the end to the beginning, future to the distant past. And in the future, it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume the existence of a time machine, one powered by Zygarde for instance. We could see Lumiose's growth over time, maybe even as far back as the great war. And god I hope we learn more about Xerneas and Yveltal.
Man, even with such a small teaser, the theory-crafting possibilities are near endless, thanks in large part to the open ended and vague storyline of X and Y. Even so, it really gets me hyped!
Edit: Also, just noticed how the Z looks pretty futuristic, as opposed to the A, which almost looks like delta or an inverted roman numeral (V). Also, the hyphen (-) in Z-A lines up more with the art style of Z as opposed to the A, possibly hinting at the possibility of time travel. There are hints of it in ORAS too, with a notable case being Annabel who works with the International police, an agency that had involvement in the post game of X and Y. Also, due to the unique nature of this pokemon and the existence of ZA in the title, it's not unreasonable to assume Mega Rayquaza is also somehow involved, (I hope this doesn't mean we get the Primal Duo in SV. That would be an actual nightmare) and by extension, Deoxys. This is a pretty big stretch, but the theory adds up for the most part. That would also explain the combination of the futuristic and old school aesthetic of the trailer. Not to mention, the urban redevelopment plan having classified info (black tape over Lumiose) could signify the involvement of International making this theory all the more likely.
That cant be done for Ash-Greninja..

Ok hear me out, they could add Eternal Flower Floette and Ash Greninja as extra quests once u reach a certain point in the game like Manaphy or Darkrai/Shaymin where they arent tied to the story

I’m fully expecting the Eternal Flower Flowette to be in the game, but I’m hoping it’s not just handed to you. I’m hoping you have to do some hidden and/or difficult side quest to get it.

Maybe it’s never been available because it’s AZ’s Pokémon and it doesn’t make canonical sense for us to have it since it’s one of a kind
Two thoughts:
1. The title being "Pokemon Legends: Z-A" makes me think it's "Z to A", rather than just "Z A"
2. With people noting how the A is reminiscent of the Ultimate Weapon, it's possible that the A is representative of not some new unreleased Pokemon, but rather Eternal Flower Floette, but that feels unlikely seeing as neither of those prominently feature the letter A. Even still, it tends to be the consensus that this game is going to be tying everything up from Gen 6 at long last, so Eternal Flower Floette would be incredibly fitting.
There are some crumbs left by the devs regarding the initial development of XY, most notably the fact that Floette was supposed to be a singular Pokémon, without pre-evo or evolution. But GF considered that it wouldn’t do to have the first fairy and one of the first Pokémon you meet in game not evolve (and also potentially be a 550 bst beast).
So Floette is the original one in the family, and it shows : it’s such a cute, simple and pretty design. Been looking forward to it for so long, and it’s finally around the corner.
Lore wise it wouldn’t make sense if we were able to catch it bc if AZ does show up in the game it would retcon their reunion at the end of XY however I think in the new game it’ll say if we have a save file for PLZA they give us the eternal flower floette. I do hope it shows up tho.
What if EF Floette is the reason we have alphas en in the game, so you calm her down and catch her. Like we got all the legendaries in PLA and Lore wise they are available in DPPt

Cogita implies that Enamourus will go back to her when the PC dies, so maybe in canon we can catch EF Floette and it just goes back to wandering after our character dies but before the start of XY
You do realize that unlike Floette the player is not immortal, right? In time, the little Pokémon will be on its own again.
If AZ does show up in the game there can be a point where he just leaves and keep roaming the earth for another couple centuries, and then at some point after he becomes unreachable to the player, give them the chance to encounter the floette without an opportunity for AZ to meet it before the events of XY.

Idk I'm leaning towards it being in the future just from the presentation since legends Arceus presentation had a strong past vibe and this has a strong future vibe at least to me
As much as I'd like to see Eternal Flower Floette finally become available, I think it's even more important for AZ to play a role in the story, and if this game is set in the past they obviously can't have their reconciliation yet.
Then again, both could work if say AZ is an antagonist in this game, maybe even having set events in motion as a scheme to lure his Floette out, only for it to instead team up with the player to stop him.

I want to tell you something that has nothing to do with Floette. But I noticed something, the legends arceus protagonist wears a shirt that comes from kalos. So maybe Legends AZ is a direct sequel to Legends Arceus and we will see characters from that game return

That's definitely something one would do for a cat or dog if we were immortal too.
I think AZ and Floette's story might end up like Lusamine and Mohn's where he's looking for Floette everywhere but she's just chilling. Like, AZ is present throughout the main story, he eventually decides to look for Floette elsewhere, and then Floette shows up right when he leaves. It can be available in the post-game or through an event/DLC, but either way I think AZ would have to be absent for Floette to appear so it doesn't contradict XY. In that case, I think your theory about AZ handing us an eternal flower would be the most likely way that we encounter his Floette.

@@Ben-zg8xk I guess that's true. I kind of give PLA a pass tho since it could be an alternate universe/timeline based on the weird geography. Even the fact that we catch multiple Legendaries isn't _necessarily_ a contradiction of DP since the Creation Trio are gods that transcend space and time, and Arceus itself only gives a _piece_ of itself to the player upon defeat. Cogita also subtly implies that trainers' Pokemon are released when they die, so even if these Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, etc. were the only ones in existence, they would presumably be freed eventually.
Then again, PLZA could easily be an AU too since this version of Lumiose is different from the original. Hoopa is known for transporting things through its portals, so maybe we could get caught up in another space/time-traveling situation. I just think a Pokemon like Hoopa has less clear motives for doing something like this, so I wouldn't really expect this to be a plot point, at least not right now.

Knowing that Pokémon has dabbled a bit more these days with regional forms, convergent Pokémon, and just versions of existing Pokémon that are much more of a exclusivity to it (Bloodmoon Ursaluna and the Paradox Pokémon), I would think that Game freak are much more comfortable with releasing eternal flower floette.

Now seriously though, if this pokemon does come back, at least I need an explanation of why eternatus shares colors with this pokemon, why both the darkest day and the firing of the ultimate weapon happened 3000 years ago, and the relationship between "eternal" flower floette, "eterna"tus, and "eterna"max

I doubt it will be added since it's supposed to be missing. It only returned at the end of XY. Plus, it's AZ's pokemon, giving it away would be weird.

The fact that they updated the text of the description of Light of Ruins in Scarlet & Violet only strengthen the idea that we’ll finally get EF Floette. I’ve been waiting for that since the release of XY so I can’t wait for the definitive answer.
I'd like to point out that according to the Japanese website, the game is pronounced "zeta" rather than za, in the same way xtransceiver is pronounced crosstranceiver. Combined with the evil team being named flare as well Zygarde looking like bahamut, and we going full final fantasy.

I say YES!!! That Floette was meant to be distributed in the games, and GameFreak FAILED US!!!!!!! I would love for Legends Z-A to finally give us Eternal Flower Floette as an actual Pokemon we can catch and to add some more lore to it. Maybe the Legends Z-A will have Floette play a major part in the story, like helping the player with something important. Or it could just play a side role. Either way, I just want to see Eternal Flower Floette again.
My one and only wish for this game is we get cosplay pikachu back I care about nothing else

We dont know yet but if they dont include AZ and Eternal Flower Floette, then it would be a huge missopportunity.
Furthermore, I wont buy it unless we get regional forms.

I never understood the fixation on this Pokemon. Why do people even want this Floette? I would be perfectly happy if we never see it.
Because it was important to the story of X & Y, was fully statted out and ready for distribution, and yet was never released. It's the perfect representation of the unfinished nature of X & Y, a problem that's continued to escalate every year with every single release being more and more of a rush job. Wanting Eternal Flower Floette is like wanting Pokemon Z, in that it's a symbolic way to express a desire for a complete Pokemon experience rather than a bare bones rush job.
