Enjoy the videos! Taking the family to SML early September. Any advice on general areas of the lake to get the kids on the fish? Also, any particular methods and times of the day to catch them? Hoping to get my daughter her first striped bass.
September the white perch fishing will still be good, also the crappy should be firing up! I'm not sure what area of the lake you're in but all areas are good but I'm very familiar with pen hook area and have been fishing it for six or seven seasons and putting meat in the freezer:-)
The striper's are on the move up river from explore park down i was told last Saturday night at Rutrough Point some big ones being caught im going back this Saturday if the weather is good
Have caught them drifting or idling off points and drop offs. Can use one of those lip grabbers instead of a net. I quit carrying a net. Haven't lost a fish yet. I like the slow pace.

I've never targeted carp but I have caught a few.
Sorry but you have to set the hook, just lifting it after barely hooking it...they will roll and get off
