Nice vid. Bob will always put you on the stripers at SML. And the conversation and stories in between the catches is almost as much fun. Many talents.... gotta love Bob
Super cool video for me to watch! I've been taking a family trip down to SML every year since I was born, but I'm just getting into fishing now. As you guys would coast around I recognized some houses and islands, which means I know exactly where I'm going fishing this year!
I’ve had two salmon hit on Lake Ontario as I was counting out line to get it to 80’ down with a dipsy diver. Both of them were over 35” and a heck of a battle. Your second one looked very exciting !
What are the combos you are using ? Looks like a Cabela’s rod. What’s the length, and action? Also are you using a Cabela’s Depthmaster , an okuma, or daiwa or a shimano line counter? The shimano are nice but kind of pricey. Thanks if you have time to answer
Thanks for reaching out and asking such detailed questions. Unfortunately this was Bobs set up and boat so I don’t have any of the details. Next time I go fishing with him I’ll be sure to follow up.
I am a new resident at the lake. Love bass fishing but would love to learn striped fishing and get the bug. Let me know if you or Bob need a partner one day. I’ll cover fuel and food! How can I get in touch with Bob? I’ve got family coming in April so I only have a month to learn and look like l know what I’m doing. 😬
Hey John, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to help you in time before April. I live in East Tennessee and not planning on travelling back till next fall. Bob is in a similar situation.

Absolutely, he is a blast to fish with. Can’t wait for my next adventure with Bob.
Just stumbled on your video, good job man. Grew up in lumpkins late 80s thru the 90s.
That’s awesome
Great stuff. Really nice stripers and the lake looks beautiful.
Yeah, Bob is such an awesome guy as well. The next video is going to be us in a crazy top water explosion video. Can’t wait to share
