      It’s a patented formula. Is there a dupe for this?

    • @anandabricker3396
      @anandabricker3396 2 роки тому +4

      @@sydneysofancy I think people saw the idea and tried to capitalize on it. Patents only last 14 (in this category) years max in the U.S. but fees are due several times in there to keep it current and not have your patent released. Since their patent was in 2015 you can’t see the actual scientific process and the nuances until 2029. I doubt without planted people anyone will crack the true nature of the product. Oh, and the dupes will only be built on the idea and “starting from scratch”.
      This is exactly why I find another companies take on idea being put up, side by side, for comparison.

      Would Ion Bond Booster be in the same category as Olaplex as a color treatment additive?

    • @gamergirlmars
      @gamergirlmars 2 роки тому

      @@beberivera7011 Yyes. but realistically it's obviously not Olaplex, most people fail to realize it is a 2 step system. There is the actual bond booster but before you shampoo your color out you must use the second step color sealer. But it's like the old Olaplex formula where you must boost the developer up one level higher.

    I never bleach my hair without olaplex. I have a license so I can get the kit from my local supply store, and I've been using it consistently for a few years.
    I've done a lot of bleach processes to my hair and I can confidently say that I wouldn't have any hair if it wasn't for olaplex, it really does allow you to push the boundaries a bit (within reason! as it says on the packaging) and it definitely does help over time as well when using it as treatments and not just when you color your hair. I love doing the step 1&2 stand-alone treatment once a month and that has immensely contributed to the health of my hair over time.

      Which product is meant to be mixed into the bleach? Is it just the "Bond Multiplier"?
      I've been thinking of starting to use it if I can get my hands on it - I keep my hair basically white for pink hair that fades to pastel pink with minimal yellow/peach.

    The Olaplex disclaimer is so nice. I also liked that it said “You cannot bring dark hair to platinum blonde in 90 minutes” to be honest it should say “at all” because I literally will never achieve platinum blonde without my hair to the point of falling out, and this is like 4 processes.
    I found a hair dresser finally where I lived and she fixed my hair, she told me Olaplex does lower the power of the developer, has it been officially said by the company it doesn’t? Because it sounds like people have mixed signals.
    Also my hairdresser uses the blonde me bleach and Olaplex!

    • @missytina6085

      Im a licensed stylist that uses olaplex.
      It USED to say that. It used to weaken the developer by about 10 volume. It does not anymore.
      I believe they've officially said it. Don't quote me on that though.
      And consently for almost 2 years now, at our salon, we have not gotten olaplex that says it does this, as it used to be in the instructions.
      It does not anymore.

    schwarzkof blonde me is absolutely the best bleach I have ever used. I've been using it religiously for the past 8 years. it's really gentle, doesn't smell as harsh as most bleaches, has a wonderful texture and lifts beautifully. I dye my whole head a vibrant purple so I need to bleach my hair. I'm a natural level 6 and use 20 volume developper on my roots and it lifts me to a level 9 ! Occasionally (maybe 2-3 times a year) I'll even use it in a bleach bath with shampoo and water to strip out all my color and start with a fresh even canvas and my hair stays healthy and continues to grow like crazy. I totally recommend it!

    Sooo I'm Latina and have naturally jet black hair. I have been blonde with highlights/balayage for two years now (you can kinda see in my profile pic). Olaplex has never worked as well for me as other protein mask dupes. Allhdplex and Fanola fiber fix have brought my curls back and made my hair more manageable than Olaplex ever did. And they're WAYYY cheaper for the price. My stylist does use a bleach with a bond builder in it but at the end of the day bleach is bleach. Personally, I think Olaplex is mostly hype and doesn't actually work for ethnic hair types.

I have never been able to grow my hair past my shoulders while platinum until using the Blond Me. Love it!! Olaplex saved my hair, but it took several months of consistent work. It was like straw or cobwebs. The hairdresser advised to cut it, but i prefer straw over short so we tried with olaplex. She used 1 and 2 straight on my hair as a treatment once a month (two or three times). Each time there was a direct clear improvement, my hair was less fuzzy and snappy and much more manageable. I used 0 and 3 at home every week. In three monthes this got my hair to the point of being healthy. The best part is the effects dont wash out, much different from a mask or conditioner.
