    I just picked up a used 2023 model with only 650mi. Can’t wait to fully review it at some point this summer. Ours is Camo, not a big fan of Camo but the deal was right so I took it 🍻

      Thanks! Yes, it was basically $14,300 out the door in OK, then I had to pay about $1100 in AZ to get it registered and pay state sales tax. Even then, it was a great deal.

      When did you buy it? I am trying to get the exact make, model and color as yours. The lowest I can find is $16k. Any tips on how to get the best price? Thanks in advance.

      Hello Mazen. I bought this machine in March, 2020. I bought it brand new at Jones Offroad in Oklahoma. Jones Offroad is a dealer in Jones Oklahoma, just off of the I-40. I drove there, with a trailer, and picked up the machine and drove it home. I shared trip expenses with two other guys who were also picking up new machines the same day/place as I was. Then when I returned to AZ I had to pay AZ sales tax and registration. All in all I was about $15,500 - TOTAL. I had a local dealer willing to sell it to me for just over $16K. Jones Offroad sells them at the best price I've seen, but you have to drive there to get it. I don't mind a drive, so that was not an issue for me. I hope this helps! And, I hope you get your machine. I love mine.

    Nice machine and good video but It seems as if your trying to change gears between high-low while moving. I may have misunderstood but if that's the case your gonna smoke your transmission. Might wanna check this out. Straight from the Polaris website.
    Shifting on Off-Road Vehicles
    Polaris Off-Road Vehicles should not be shifted while driving. ACE, GENERAL, RANGER, RZR, Scrambler and Sportsman vehicles are equipped with Polaris Variable Transmissions (PVT). Made up of an infinitely variable drive clutch, driven clutch and belt, it changes gear range to match vehicle power, engine output and changing load conditions.
    In addition, Polaris Off-Road Vehicles have a gear selector for use when the vehicle is not in motion. ORVs have five gears: park (P), reverse (R), neutral (N), low gear (L) and high gear (H).
    To change gears, stop the vehicle and, with the engine idling, move the shift lever to the desired gear. Do not attempt to shift gears with engine speed above idle or while the vehicle is moving. Attempting to shift the transmission while the vehicle is moving could result in damage to the transmission.

    • @SouthwestORV
      @SouthwestORV  4 роки тому +1

      I am realizing that I did not make it clear enough in the video - I DO NOT attempt to shift while in motion, I always come to a complete stop. Even so, it can be difficult/impossible to shift from L to H, without first dropping back into N, then through L to H. I am confident I will figure it out, or the dealer will. It has a 12-month warranty, so I should be fine.

    I think the travel is only around 3’’ actually if you do a side view and compress the body down with weight then measure the difference between unloaded and loaded. Thanks for the videos

    • @SouthwestORV
      @SouthwestORV  3 роки тому

      Doing off-camber riding, I have seen that the wheels do travel the numbers that Polaris advertises. If you jack one up off the ground, you will see how much travel they have as the unloaded wheels fall to full extension. Thanks for watching!

    What is the top speed? I just totaled my 2020 Ranger 570-6 Crew and it was governed to 50. However, I sent the ECU to Gilomen's in Minnesota and they did a re-flash. Made it go 65mph after that. Planning to get the 1000 crew like yours when my insurance pays me and hoping they go faster than my 570.

    • @SouthwestORV
      @SouthwestORV  4 роки тому

      I have not done a top speed test on it yet. I will do that shortly, maybe this week. But, I have had it up to 57 mph twice now while cruising. Feels like there's more left. This 1000 is very powerful and has lots of torque. It's no RZR, but it has plenty of power for cruising down the highway at 55 with 6 people on board. Hope this helps! Sorry to hear about your totaled machine. We love this new Crew 1000.

    I'm looking at the same machine, any reason for choosing this over the XP 1000?

    • @SouthwestORV
      @SouthwestORV  4 роки тому +1

      Hello Quinn! So, yes. Here are my personal reasons (which may not line up with any of yours):
      1. It's a new machine for 2020, which I HOPE means they've made updates and improvements, perhaps even over the XP1000 that has been out for a year or two now.
      2. The price...it's definitely less expensive than the XP1000, but has everything I wanted/needed in my family fun UTV. There are certain things I valued, such as comfort, quiet, torque, power steering, good looks, and this machine has all over those. The XP may have more, but this one has enough, and it WAS less expensive which means it fit in my budget.
      Hope this helps.

      @@SouthwestORV thanks for the reply. I have come to the same conclusion. It's proven difficult to come across a preowned ranger crew here in Utah, which has kept prices high on both new and used. I think the value is in the 1000.
