To be fair, he's always been really into pop-punk.
As said above, MGK has always wanted to be a pop/punk artist. He even writes about it in his songs.. About how one day he'll finally make it, and he can make the music he truly wants. Well, he definitely made it. He's got a fan base that loves his music and his career, and I'm a part of that train. His transition to pop/punk from rap almost felt entirely natural and he has done extremely well delivering in both genres, in my opinion.
I still love these videos though.. LOL
