I love this idea. What a great way to have some car knitting without having to worry about the toe and heal until later. Plus it’s close to two at a time without all the fiddling!! Can’t wait to give it a try.
Thank you, YES!! Using stitch markers every 10 rounds is the only way I can do this. I get twitchy when I see knitters just measuring all higglety piggelty and there might be different numbers of rounds in each sock. I would def know the difference.
OMG! I just finished repairing two pair of socks, size 13, for my son (also a September 15th birthday). I ended up picking up at the midpoint of four socks, cutting the rest off and knitting to the toe on each. He loves his “Penguins” socks, yarn from River City Yarn....they carry all NHL teams, and he would love to wear them every day. After seeing this tutorial, I’m thinking of purchasing another 150g 😳 skein of that yarn and having Must Love Yarn make a yarn tube for me 😂. Then, at my leisure, I can just add cuffs, heels, and toes. He really prefers a slipped stitch heel....if I could only figure that out after the tube has been cranked!! Thank you so much for this tutorial and the Afterthought Heel. And, Have a wonderful trip and visit with your families. 💗
Thanks to your video I did my first afterthought heel. Thank you so much. ???The one question I have is that. I had a tube made for me. I added on the toe, heel and cuff. When binding off my cuff it seems to be rather tight and not as stretchy as when I do a cuff down cuff. How do you make a cuff stretchy when doing it from toe up? ( I hope that made sence.)
Such a great tutorial! I was wondering, would you suggest I try an afterthought heel before the Afterthought everything sock? This was really great, I really look forward to trying this method!
I see that you carry Choaigoo needles… do they come with a needle that is shorter? I have several and I love them except for that. I have short fingers (well, everything, really) and their needles are fantastic but I’m constantly finding that I’m catching the needle and pulling it with my arms… short girl problems are REAL! Lol! Thanks!
I'm splitting a sock tube I knit for the first time and I'm having such a hard time picking up the stitches. They're so tight I can barely get my needle through them. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a product of my slightly tight gauge?

No more second sock syndrome! 😊

It all depends on the bind off that you do. The bind off I show in this video is stretchy. As well as Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off.

I would say you could jump right in and do it all if you want!!
Crazy Sock Lady Sounds great! Thank you!

Could just be your gauge is tighter. Try picking up with a smaller needle size than what you knit with. Then use the correct size needle to knit.
