- In this episode, Margo & Tashira further discuss the new developments which have led to Kamala Harris being the new nominee for President for the Democratic Party.
While Kamala may not be "The Perfect Candidate" for all aspects of the party, she may still be the perfect candidate to defeat Donald Trump.
Given the stakes of this election, it has given us pause about using the system as it is currently in place, with all its flaws, to create change...when we know that historically, this tends not to work, particularly for marginalized voices.

as a non-American, I have watched this system with deep interest and speculation. I know for sure! if the American public gets it together and votes VP Harris into office, I know this will shift how I feel about America, and I will become an American. Kamala has experience with every branch of government. She's not perfect but she's definitely qualified
BW progressive prosecutors have made alot of criminal justice reform that have helped BIPOC people from the inside. Yes, they are still prosecutors but the lens they see the system through is different and I sure they are often more conflicted compared to their caucasian counterparts
Wait. I did some research and I only came up with her having experience in the legislative branch and executive branch.
And I need to know before I say this that it’s right. Because I wanna throw this statement around to all the “she’s unqualified” choir members. But I gotta be right. Because it’s TOO GOOD!
I’ve come up with:
VPOTUS: Executive
Senator: Legislative
AG : Executive
Prosecutors: Executive
I don’t see where she has experience in the judicial branch.
@@zerandrianmorris She was a lawyer/prosecutor. So technically she also worked via the executive but I consider it a grey area since they present to the judicial branch. Also she probably did some lower level law job b4 she became a prosecutor but technically you are correct
