How to build a cheap, simple, sturdy jobsite table saw stand // BOSCH GTS10J

- This is the second video in a series where I am building out my workshop. In the first video I built my workbench/outfeed table, and in this one I build the table saw stand that aligns with that bench.
I did this for cheap (nearly for free), using wood from an old dining table and bed, and some cheap chipboard from a reclaimed wood yard.
Hopefully there is something useful here, this table is built to fit a BOSCH GTS10J / GTS10J2, but the concept is applicable to any tablesaw.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments!

I liked the yellow hat
So did I 🎉
You draw those wiggly lines so good...
My speciality!
Great build! If you run the router to the right of the straight edge the rotation of the bit will pull it into the straight edge and keep it on track. Running it on the left hand side the rotation of the bit actually forces it away from the level causing your issues. Looki g forward to seeing future builds!
Ah that makes a lot of sense! Will go ahead and use this tip for the rebuild of these, thank you!
Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job fella! Even with the unfortunate shape 😂
Haha thank you! At least I’ll have a way of remembering how to use a router correctly from now on 😂
Another cracking video pal. Well done and keep up the good work.
Thanks mate! Got plenty of ideas for some more workshop renovations 😃
Awesome man!!
Thanks mate! Mitre saw next 😃
Could you adjust the caster wheels instead of using playing cards
Probably a more sensible idea haha! Though I think any ‘adjustment’ I can make to these wheels would be shims as well, couldn’t afford the fancy adjustable ones sadly
Good start 😅 we all learned from mistakes
Yes indeed! The next one I’m sure will be 10x better haha!
Are those goalkeeping gloves on the floor in the background?
Sorry 😮
Good stuff. How will you get the table saw back in the same spot to align with the channels if you have to move it? Just trial and error with the sled? Or did you put some retaining strips around the base of it or something?
This is actually something that caused an issue! I think your idea of retaining strips is the way I am going to have to go, the temporary connecting strips are no where near solid enough to keep the tracks aligned when I connected the benches back together having made an upgrade to the dust collection… will make a video on the issues I am facing and upgrades to fix them 😃
Not pretty but functional ! Form fit and functionality, thats all that matters.
Certainly not pretty! the good thing is, it will let me build a better one! 😂
