Ryoji Kitomi Yes possibly, but he isn't facing a newcomer so he probably understands that any mental advantage he can get the better over Jose Aldo. The thing about the UFC which is different than any other combat sport is at the top of the division their matchmaking is designed to test you, and not to give you an easy ride mostly from what I've seen. So if Conor beats the one dimensional but very effective muay thai style of Aldo in his 1st attempt, then the UFC will give him who is next not anyone else better suited to his need. Two very aggressive wrestler punchers are at the top of the division! And in case he loses the drawback could possibly be bigger as far as criticism from fans because of the trash talk not the confidence before this fight not the others, and if Aldo changes divisions after the fight and moves up in weight it will be even worse for Mcgregor because he may have to chase him or stay in the division fighting the wrestlers!

And mainly I loved the fact about how he describes his team and his close circle "no comes in, no one goes out". His confidence has always been on top, but no one can deny the skills this guy posseses... and just by this interview alone, the amount of pressure he is just adding to himself to win this fight is overwhelming.... you just don't see that ever! When Conor said he hasn't stopped working since his injury it made me realise just how much he hasn't stopped until this day. He recovered from injury, fought Diego Brandao, went straight into the Poirier fight then into the Dennis Siver fight, from that into a world tour which lead to the Chad Mendes fight. He came straight off that and into The Ultimate Fighter, follewed by the Jose Aldo fight. Then fought Nate Diaz 3 months later, got into the the UFC 200 chaos followed by UFC 202 Diaz rematch. Mcgregor has a big presence, but Aldo is a different animal than the Poiriers and Sivers of the world. Win or lose, Conor, you can love the game but the game loves no one.
When you hear McGregor talk about the belt grab around 17:50 in you realize that the belt grabbing was completely none planned and happened because Jose said he was the king of Dublin in McGregors home town and since the belt was sitting there McGregor was saying, " No the EFF you are not the King of MY town!" So anyone who thinks he was being disrespectful, piss off.
This video showed that he actually respects Aldo a lot more than UFC likes to portray, he's just like any other competitor in the sense that he thinks he can win, and given what he said in this interview, a business minded competitor at that
He's an extremely good speaker, businessman and fighter. His fights are always so entertaining, his charisma is incredible and although he tries to psych out his opponents he is a humble and respectful man to others. Hopefully he brings the gold back to Ireland and what a journey this is!
Probably one on Conor's best interviews. Ariel caught him at a nice time while his mind is focused and it made for a good inside look at his form. Deadly
You can say what you want about Conor but the bottom line is he's a genius. He's very very smart and enthusiastic about life. The kind of person you want to surround yourself with to elevate. I hope he wins because it will change the UFC completely.

He never left Ireland, he just brought his people with him to focus just on his fight with Jose Aldo. That's what I feel every top contender/champions should do, their camps should be focused on them just like Mayweather, Pacquiao, etc.

Aldo: More Experience Has been through wars (good thing and a bad thing) Amazing Leg Kicks Great Flying Knee Powerful explosive punches Black Belt in BJJ Overcomes Adversity McGregor: Faster (yes he is faster... You guys just don't know it yet) Taller Bigger reach Much better boxing than Aldo Brown Belt in BJJ More Powerful Punches than Aldo More Varied Techniques = Unpredictable Southpaw (makes Aldo's leg kicks easy to check) If this fight takes place on the feet McGregor will DOMINATE. If Aldo is able to use wrestling and BJJ then it's anyone's fight. Conor's BJJ is very good, and his takedown defence is top notch. But if it turns into a BJJ battle then Aldo has the advantage for sure. I don't agree with people who say Conor will be screwed against a wrestler. I think he would and will dominate Mendez. Edgar will be a very interesting fight as he is much more well rounded. Verdict: McGregor by KO Follow me on Twitter @UFCBET I have $16.5k at 2.1 to 1 on McGregor to win.

Mark Butler that's a really intelligent comment there man.
This didn’t age well this comment
The McGregor show is always different than any other show win or lose.
Best way to live @ 12:00. Good Vibes
These interviews are pure gold. McGregor is the man. So passionate, so charismatic. Behind all the talk, he backs it up.
When you hear McGregor talk about the belt grab around 17:50 in you realize that the belt grabbing was completely none planned and happened because Jose said he was the king of Dublin in McGregors home town and since the belt was sitting there McGregor was saying, " No the EFF you are not the King of MY town!"
So anyone who thinks he was being disrespectful, piss off.
This video showed that he actually respects Aldo a lot more than UFC likes to portray, he's just like any other competitor in the sense that he thinks he can win, and given what he said in this interview, a business minded competitor at that
Prime Connor was soo interesting man.....
He's an extremely good speaker, businessman and fighter. His fights are always so entertaining, his charisma is incredible and although he tries to psych out his opponents he is a humble and respectful man to others. Hopefully he brings the gold back to Ireland and what a journey this is!
he is soo straight up on his answers thats dope
Probably one on Conor's best interviews. Ariel caught him at a nice time while his mind is focused and it made for a good inside look at his form. Deadly
This Conor is the fookin dangerous McGregor 🔥
You can say what you want about Conor but the bottom line is he's a genius. He's very very smart and enthusiastic about life. The kind of person you want to surround yourself with to elevate. I hope he wins because it will change the UFC completely.
UFC is definitely indebted to this guy than any other.
Humble as always 😉😉
THIS IS ONE OF CONORS BEST INTERVIEWS...
No matter how rich this guy gets, his mindset and understanding of the game and the importance of keeping your friends close to you is quite amazing and admirable. Living good under one roof TOGETHER.
Welp....
Connor is absolutely right on with what he's saying. 🇮🇪
Ariel you are the best interviewer in MMA. I can see that you are coming back to your ''roots'' when you interview MMA fighters more deeply. I know you had much success recently and you go the higher jobs, but I hope you keep interviewing like this. Reason being there are no other interviewers that are doing as well as you, I feel that you are asking the right questions and you have a good understanding about the game. Please continute this path, great job.
Ariel asks the tough questions. Much respect.
I'm inspired by Conor McGregor for his passionate mindset in MMA.
The King has spoken.
He never left Ireland, he just brought his people with him to focus just on his fight with Jose Aldo. That's what I feel every top contender/champions should do, their camps should be focused on them just like Mayweather, Pacquiao, etc.
Great interview
Mr Helwani, exceptional interview. That is due, in no small part sir, to you being an exceptional host. You ask very thought provoking questions; you are articulate; and a consummate gentleman - i.e., you are respectful, attentive and genuine with your guests. As a result of your outstanding work and code of conduct sir, I have subscribed to your channel. I look forward to all of your future UA-cam videos. Thank you!
Does anyone still watch this?
"The beautiful thing about dreams , they keep evolving/reforming"... well done sir
Conor Mcgregor. Thank you for being you.
He has to be the most creative and strong minded fighter who can set his goal, voice it and accomplish it.
5:23 -> 6:23 is The best part of this interview.
That's a mindset!
Ariel, I hope you are reading this comment. This interview was your best ever. You have matured. Your interview approach is better. No more dings and sideway questions being asked where you upset the interviewee and sabotage yourself. I like the new you! Keep it coming Ariel, this was good stuff.
“In association with... McGregor Production, Proper Twelve”
2018
This is so inspiring. Hope we get to see this Conor at UFC 264.
The ideal New York Card - Weidman vs Rockhold & McGregor vs Edgar
God I hope so
And dc vs Alexander
What a great interview from both the interviewer and the interviewee. So excited for this fight!
Ariel is the best mma reporter by far
Meshary Alghamdi that says more about MMA reporters than it does about AH! Smh! :(
One of his best interviews! And I can listen to Conor talk all day.
Aldo:
More Experience
Has been through wars (good thing and a bad thing)
Amazing Leg Kicks
Great Flying Knee
Powerful explosive punches
Black Belt in BJJ
Overcomes Adversity
McGregor:
Faster (yes he is faster... You guys just don't know it yet)
Taller
Bigger reach
Much better boxing than Aldo
Brown Belt in BJJ
More Powerful Punches than Aldo
More Varied Techniques = Unpredictable
Southpaw (makes Aldo's leg kicks easy to check)
If this fight takes place on the feet McGregor will DOMINATE.
Verdict:
McGregor by KO
Follow me on Twitter @UFCBET I have $16.5k at 2.1 to 1 on McGregor to win.
Spot on
So looks like you won hardddd
I hope this man wins. Whether hate him or love him, the ufc and the sport of mma is benefitting alot from him.
My god this guy predicts future!!!!!!!!😀
This is the best mma interview I have experienced. Good Job Ariel and Connor. Bring that belt to Europe!!!
I’d be interested to know exactly what Conor’s IQ is. He’s such an intelligent individual.
His mentality, determination and focus leave you in absolute belief that he will be champion. Not to mention his skill level. #AndNew
