Conor was so much more in control of his emotions back then. Calm, cool and collected. He seemed so sure, so confident that he would walk through his competition. Which he did up until Diaz. It’s such a stark difference to now. After getting all of that money from the Floyd fight, he turned into a completely different person. I hope he finds that groove again. Not so much for fighting, but for his life afterwards.

So true. It seems like he always had demons (like most of us), but they were kept in check. Some fire, some craziness can be useful, but the fame definitely tipped him over into a bad place. I know it’s a bit of pop psychology, but it’s obvious even to a hack like me that Conor is a different person here like you said.

Not sure why people talk about net worth so much. When a popular fighter dies, do they talk about their net worth? No, why, because it's stupid. McGregor is like that band that had a good 5 year run, released some incredible records and then just faded into obscurity. Conor was always a below average fighter that never cared about greatness.

What good has he really done? He beat a faded aldo who was so much smaller than him it's unreal. He beat up on much smaller men. He knocks himself out because he refuses to work on his cardio. When he was hungry he was awesome, but as soon as he made that £££ it was game over.

@@dvces He got attacked by Khabib's entire crew, because he insulted a group of people who hold religion very close to their heart, they basically live for the God they believe in.
It just goes to show, you just have to know when to keep your mouth shut and at the same time, show some respect.
He didn't, he deserved what he got.
Smashing a bus window with a dolly and having an impact on 3 fighters that day? Two physically, one mentally (trauma) and one with a title fight - huge negative impact on their career.
There's nothing to defend with Conor and try to turn him into the victim, he paid his price, in fact, I think Khabib should have done more "smesh" to his skull but the restraint and the mental fortitude to know it wasn't the right thing and could get him into trouble saved him and probably out of his huge respect for his father.
Connor was just a spoiled rich brat (claims otherwise) that ran his mouth and he couldn't back it up.

In his own words he said when his mom has a mansion and his gf has a different car for everyday of the week and his kids kids are set, he will be happy he lost his mind and will die a crazy old man. It was all worth it. I’d do it for mine too.

Remember that song "Eye Of The Tiger" by that band Survivor? Every time I hear the lyric, "you trade your passion for glory" I think of McGregor as that is exactly what he did. Let's be honest folks, was McTapout really going to have a long and distinguished career when he refused to develop a good ground game, cardio, chin and BJJ? Nope and we see that now. The dude is washed up and the UFC, with the aid of casual fans that don't know shit about fighting are keeping his "career" on life support and it's quite sad.

Connor wasn't the only one who changed the game. Dana had a LOT to do with it too. That being said there isn't ANY REASON whatsoever, for him to actually act like a raging roided out psycho just because he did some shir for the sport. It don't matter WHO you are, you shouldn't be making fun of someone's dead father, religion, country and culture, you shouldn't THREATEN to KILL entire FAMILIES, you shouldn't be trying to punch fans just because they ask you a question, throwing dolleys through bus windows with your mafia friends, injuring an active fighter in the process, and you should NEVER punch an old man for refusing to let you shove your sh*tty ass whiskey down his throat. It don't matter WHAT you did, or WHO you are. He could be the f*cking president of the U.S. and he would STILL be that guy who turned into a big headed little rich weirdo DOUCHEBAG. Don't matter what justification, what excuse, or what d*ck ride it is, anyone who does that sh*t deserves to have it ALL taken from them to lose EVERYTHING and bring then back down to their ground roots. I'm sure the times he's been caught and filmed aren't the only times he has acted a fool either. I get that a lot of its an act and just trashtalk, but I have a feeling a lot of the things Connor has done have been HIM, and would be how he would react no matter what. He's truly a douchebag now through n through, I don't know why people insist on hyping this guy up, it's like Jon Jones, the guy is one of the biggest P.O.S liars of all time and people still like the guy. People just LOVE to be lied to, deceived, and tricked. If they didn't they would sit here and KNOW most of the shit talk and back stage brawls are STAGED and EVERY SINGLE ONE of the fighters are encouraged to do this for hype and ppv points. But then they actually TAKE IT SERIOUSLY and take YEARS off their lives being mad about it, when THEYRE the ones who ASKED for this WWE style format. You get what you ask for. Don't bitch about it now, when Colby says something you don't like. You are the ones who caused him to have to change. He didn't want to.
People are truly retarded I swear.
