WoW, Inspector threatening to use section 44 of the terrorism act. This is half the problem with the police force as a whole, senior officers are clueless or rogue.

You did good there Kolee. The more I watch these the more I learn, at 72 I'm a bit old to be an activist but I fully support you and the other youngsters doing this. Come to think of it, being an oldie I'm thinking I might take a deck chair and setting up outside a police station with a flask of tea, a pack of cheese and pickle sandwiches, my walking stick, Bella and Bertie my Jack Russell's ( on public land and out of the way and not causing a blockage on the thorough fare ). If approached by the police, which would be inevitable, I'll make it obvious I'm removing my hearing aids and then just smile blankly at them. Way to go. If it's ok with my wife of course.

- The Inspector has probably never had to INVOKE any section of the Terrorism Act 2000/06 as GROUNDS for an arrest
- That also INDICATES how little Sec44 was LAWFULLY invoked - hence repealed, and hopefully this will be the same for Sec.43 in due course,.. because, ANY powers at all are made available to them, they WILL ABUSE them to achieve their ends,

What a scared, paranoid officer. I actually pity him for living his life this way. It must be awful to be this afraid all the time. Seeing threats everywhere and being so mortified by those perceived threats (most of these threats only exist in his head btw) that he almost starts behaving like a cornered animal. That's sad. It really is.

This isnt "filming in public", no audit is ever about that. Intentionally looking to wind people up at work is what this is. Its the equivalent of a school child winding up the their teachers knowing there's nothing they can do about it.

The thing that gets me about this - the Inspector literally shows his ID card to the camera so we all know his name and roughly the area he lives in, it wouldnt be hard to find his home address. But he's scared that you recorded his car registration???

" Indexes" or number plates do not identify the person unless you work for the DVLA or Police. All the average joe can do is check MOT History & Tax status. 👍Bro.
And number plates are public not private, they are designed to be seen so perhaps these fragile cowards should get little blankets to cover them up!

The inspector's premise that by recording/filming police stations, Cars or individuals is a danger to them is not backed up by the data. The last time a police station was attacked in the UK was 1985 in Northern Ireland and the vast majority of police deaths occurred from heart attacks and strokes sitting behind their desks instead of FRONTLINE duty so the data does not back up the inspectors arguments

Not really, as it doesn't identify an individual and is not yet part of a paper or electronic record. Registration numbers are in the public domain and property of the DVLA. Great interaction though and his ego was definitely hurt.

The only people who can get private information from a number plate in the UK are - police. And they have been caught doing that illegally on a number of occasions. Good work Kolee. That inspector needs anger management class, he was so close to losing it and please file a complaint against him for illegally putting his hands on you. Anyone can see he was boiling with rage inside and wanted to give you a good going over. Thank goodness they can't do that anymore. Hopefully he will see this and adjust his behaviour. An apology to you would be in order.

Could someone tell me as to the highest level education it takes to be accepted into the UK Police. Is it 'A' levels or higher because it seems that they aren't University educated. So, that suggest a lower level entry requirement to become a PC.

The inspector is a good example of how poor the current quality of UK Police are ( even after 20 xx years).
I live in Northern Ireland, and have family in the Police Service of Northern Ireland. Yes, there is indeed a dissident terrorist threat to Police Officers in Northern Ireland, however, our Police stations and the vehicles of staff are in ENCLOSED, SECURE carparks with tall brick and wire fences. Public walk-in access is STRICTLY limited and each visitor is filmed and vetted.... Seeming these precautions don't apply at this (English) Police Station.....Keep doing what you're doing! I loved this audit and you are totally right that you had no need to go any further. The inspector showed his ego got the better of him and you kept your composure and took no rubbish, as for ppl saying to be braver and push it...let them go out and risk their freedom etc.....i wish i had the confidence (and knowledge of the law) to do it. I think the inspector needs to look at this video and check on section 44 as he needs to look that up and maybe spend some time out on the best so that he as a better understanding of what happens in 2021
