The city is great and hands down is the best side of the map atm and i would say is pretty equally balanced to an extent. However currently its the field thats the issue. It results in far too many games where all 15 tanks go towards the city on both teams which is not good or dynamic gameplay imo.
Doesnt this just penalize lights and TDs? This just removed one of the only slower maps, increasing the speed of the games even further. This is only good for tomatoes who can't understand spotting mechanics and just want to play a hull down brawler

Exactly. They're making another corridor map, meant for heavies. Which I understand from a business point of view: heavies=armor=more gold= money. At this point I'd split the maps into brawling and maneuver maps and let players opt out of either type.
I'd argue massively otherwise. This will create so so many more possibilities for light tanks and TD's as i said in the video. 25 more bushes for light tanks to play rather then the maximum 5 positions they can in the current maps state. Similar for TD's whole new lines of fire and opportunities to get damage rather than what we have now which is max 3 spots. I really don't understand your point. This change will benefit ALL classes.
But they are not making a corridor map though. They're literally doing the opposite they are adding PROGRESSION which does not make a make a corridor map in the slightest. It makes it better for everyone, ALL classes will benefit from this change equally i would say

Map pool is big enough. Having bad maps in that pool is an issue so they're solving that

Are the mounds on the East even climeable? They look too steep. That will determine how light friendly they are.
I'd imagine so yes. They look like they are climbable in areas but not all around

Unpopular opinion: highway is one of the best maps i this game. The sides might not be balanced well but its still a great map.
