Man I have always loved Kurt vile , as for this track, it was played on jjfm sydney radio and as soon as it started I started trying to belt it out , with Jesus's fever ...massive respect to Kurt and everyone here that have been hooked on one of the biggest Alt / Indie bands from the USA. sending all of you ultimate protection.. we have to continue with all the best, and fate will get rid of all the rest .. xxxx g banger sydney Australia. Freedom for all not just one ..
It should be at a million but it isn't because the Democrats who run the music industry insist on only promoting crap that furthers a leftist agenda meaning all women are sluts, all blacks are gangstas, and all whites are racists and being that most whites are about to tag themselves as racists they dont sign.
How would creating "sluts", "gangstas", and "racists" be part of a liberal agenda? What would that do to benefit the liberals? Not attacking, just curious about your beliefs @Ka Boom
I remember the first time I heard Kurt(: He inspires me as a guitar player, writer, and person. Just had a little trip down memory lane with this song.
Great traveling song, I've listened to to this while hiking in colorado, driving through napa valley, wandering around san francisco, and when I go to peru this summer I will surely listen to this. Thanks Kurt!
@Master Oogway Why do you say Kurt is an occultist? I have read that he had a religious upbringing; and he did write “Jesus loves me yes I know” in a song, and Jesus On a Wire; and I did see a Blessed Virgin Mary statue in one of his video’s, so I assumed that he is Catholic.
@@sfender2182 I have no idea what the man believes, if anything, but one needn't be Christian or even spiritual to reference Christian iconography / put up a Christmas tree. They're pervasive parts of Western civilization, so they can even be referenced ironically. It makes no difference to one's enjoyment of the man's art.
@Peter Houle I like it when musicians try to promote a belief in Jesus Christ as following his teachings is good for the whole world. So many musicians don’t acknowledge Jesus in their music. Kurt has sang about Jesus several times, and the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not the same thing as having a Christmas tree. Usually only Catholics have these statues in their home; this is not generic. Could I enjoy a non Christian’s music; of course, but it is good that he seems to have a love of Jesus Christ as he wrote “Jesus loves me yes I know”, and his last cd featured his two children prominently in pictures on his album; so it seems he is also family oriented; anyways; I love his music.
Yeah but he created his own sound from that as did every other successful musician when it comes to influence. There's a big difference between copying and influences.. It's impossible to be a musician without using some influence, I bet cavemen first made music imitating a women in heat.
i like the top comment bout putting this on and driving out towards nature. this should go down well @ Meredith Music Festival 2011. middle of the australian bush BYO, free camping non commercial. i might have to light up a few blunts during this set. thankyou aunty meredith!
I packed my suitcase with myself But I'm already gone I cleanse myself with vitamin health But I'm already gone I saw a rising though the horizon And I saw it fall The Jesus fever is falling all over you Believers and lovers In a black bowl, I found a broken skull Now I'm already gone You can write my whole life down in a little book When I'm already gone I started shakin' and my heart breaking And my belly crawls The Jesus fever's falling all over you Believers and lovers When I'm a ghost, I see no reason to run When I'm already gone If it wasn't taped, you could escape this song But I'm already gone
I know a lake in Mass close to Boston in Malden I beleive called lake Cornapowa my Father and I used to Walk around when I'd visit that has a church just like the one in the video. There would be snow on the ground, we would be walking the 3 mile trek with a Dunkin Donuts Coffee in hand. Thats so long ago now its like its a dream and this is just a bad dream I can't seem to shake awake from.
+WantAHamburgerAlex The War on Drugs is a band he used to be in that has really taken off. I like Kurt more but there's a good chance you might like them just as much or more so check them out
+Barry Mckokner heey thanks ! I didn't know he played in the war on drugs, i don't like them so much as him , i knew the war on drugs already but never really found real good songs like kurt vile makes himself. thank you by the way! :)
@TheScrotumTickler I agree. Most people don't know Thurston or Sonic Youth now. Kind of sad. Ironic that Kurt and Thurston are playing a festival together soon, too.
@KevKavanagh Good observation mate, and I agree it has that sound mix, as well as the similarities that ir2025 has mentioned with the great Lloyd Cole. Top drawer album anyway, got it on vinyl, and sounds great.
these songs let my mind wander even further away than usual, or im getting psychotic tendencies..is everyday weed good or bad?i badly believe its neither
couldnt agree more with the 1st guy who commented....but you dont have to be "religious" to know Jesus. its not a religion as much as a relationship. man made religion...God sent Jesus. just rememebr that famous bible verse u prob heard along the way & ull be just fine. Good day brother.

Ridiculously catchy tune. Should be at over 1 million viewers; lots of people are really missing out.

Jesus Fever indeed! Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I’ve just recently discovered the beauty of Kurt’s music; and God bless him.
Kurt's an occultist, Jesus is the heart. Love yourself with a pure heart and rise up to God!

I packed my suitcase with myself
But I'm already gone
I cleanse myself with vitamin health
But I'm already gone
I saw a rising though the horizon
And I saw it fall
The Jesus fever is falling all over you
Believers and lovers
In a black bowl, I found a broken skull
Now I'm already gone
You can write my whole life down in a little book
When I'm already gone
I started shakin' and my heart breaking
And my belly crawls
The Jesus fever's falling all over you
Believers and lovers
When I'm a ghost, I see no reason to run
When I'm already gone
If it wasn't taped, you could escape this song
But I'm already gone
Soooo good¡¡

This is the only religious music that I don't dislike... Kurt Vile is amazing.
Thanks to Zack Martin for giving me a clue to Kurt Vile.
@mikeanthonyism Kurt Vile hasn't been in that band since 2008.
@trentigalaxy No he's probably just busy at work. I wouldn't want someone coming up to me when I was at work trying to talk to me:p
