Tkr95 They said that the main campaign is about 2 hours long. But the playtime can depend if you decide to do the side missions which confirms that there is a open world segment in this dlc.

Nothing confirms there is an open world segment. They can have side content in linear hallways, don't set yourself up for disappointment.

God prompto is my fav character. at first I thought he was annoying but after I made a bond with him and he told me what he feels about noctis and ignis and gladio I suddenly noticed he is just like me. thats what makes him unique.

Actually there's a sniper rifle you can find in the main game that only Noctis can use that functions in much the same way by turning the game into a full on shooter.

this looks great! but it would be nice if they added a few more animations like at 4:54 I mean he's being shot but he's just standing there like nothings happening

Probably unlocked somehow with the speicla mode like Gladio's Rugged Attire. There's gonna be some sort of Snowmobile MiniGame / Score Attack Mode

tre97able It's clearly obvious that the director is the one who doesn't want this feature to happen. He built a whole new system for each character on their own story so you could never play as them on the main story whenever you wanted, how logical.
It's like: "Fans wanted to play as the other characters? Fine, let's separate them so they could never play as them on the main game and let's give them different genre cuz all what we want is to go far away from the main series"
Master Keeper Honestly tabata ruined the game. I beat it and it wasn't enjoyable. I think an open world final fantasy at the last minute was too ambitious.

Finally, what is the point of taking cover? Prompto was taking more bullets than 50 cent in this trailer and he wasn't even flinching.
Got a strong feeling you can literally run and gun your way through this in under an hour...
They did a panel at a convention I went to, one of their points they kept in past games that they wanted to harp on was "prevention of game overs". They literally made that point that it was almost impossible to die in the main game. Really hope this game gets a hard mode from the survey. It needs it badely

Next DLC will be about Ignis learning the ways of Gordon Ramsay in hell's kitchen. Imagine Ignis learning a new recipeh and Ramsay goes ape shit on him

I'm really liking the music so far, the only thing I see wrong with the gunplay is that you can't take cover. But who cares, I'm looking forward to the story. As long as I see a bit of Ardyn and a big focus on Verstael I'm fine.

Why do we have to switch to the melee weapon if it's square and firing is R1? lol

blairmas No it's not just a "DLC", it's a DLC that was supposed to cover what's missing from the main game and what do we get in return? A shooter game that is probably not gonna even cover all what we need from character development, history and story fragments that we didn't see in the original game
Master Keeper when was it suppose to cover what was missing in the main game? Where did you get that from? It's episode prompto where you play prompto. Were you expecting a turn based rpg all of a sudden? Don't get upset when Cooking Mama: Episode Ignis releases.
TheKillaShow Apparently you didn't even play the game carefully to understand what's going on. The game is full of gaps and missing fragments that they didn't bother to cover at the beginning, they removed different cutscenes and then returned them back after updates, and the worst part of all of this is that you wouldn't know the history of any of the characters that were with you which simply give the lack of strong characters.
Not to mention that all the previous FF games allowed us to play as all the main characters and that thing used to be included in this title until they decided to remove it and make it with a single player for the first time in the history of FF, and now instead of fixing this feature, they are adding episodes that are trying to be different from the origin of FF as if they were spin off episodes when they were supposed to be the route of fixing this broken title.
And no I wasn't expecting any turn based RPG, but nobody would expect it to be a shooter either when it used to be an action RPG from the first place. It's like bringing Call of Duty and making it turn-based. This is how missed up this title is. It's crystal clear that the episodes are deviating from the original game and for what? To cover missing pieces that they INTENDED to leave missing so they could fool you all to get the DLC to know the continuity of the story.
They keep ruining the title even more with their disappointing additions to a level where many of us would just wish for this title to die and bring what's next.
Episode Prompto is going to be good.

They should have had all the characters playable since the beginning. If they had delayed the game a year we would have already had gladio, ignis, and prompto playable.

Master Keeper switching engines and wasn't even in active full development until 2013 because the original team was helping on final fatasyn13- lightning returns and had to help the 14 team make up for the turd of og 14 with a realm reborn
i like the fact that in the early years of the game's concepts, they planned for the player to be able to switch between one of the four of Noctis' group, and the idea was scrapped. now they give us each episode to play as one group member per episode.

I wanted to really quickly say that this music is goddammit great in my opinion.
I also feel like I'll have a good time with this combat style. But I can already see how people may end up disliking it overall.
Aiming looks janky, but honestly I expected that. Either way this still looks like it will be fun. And Prompto's cuteness has already won me over.

FINAL FANTASY XV released on November 29, 2016; was not the game fans were expecting since it was first announced back in 2006 on its debut Versus trailer.
We think that many of the past remarks about the game production, made by Mr. Hajime Tabata, were not fully realized resulting on a final product that did not reach the quality promised.
Moreover Final Fantasy XV plays like an unfinished product with obvious cuts made to both the story and gameplay.
Therefore we strongly hope for a restart/reboot of the original concept of FINAL FANTASY VERSUS XIII as it was intended to be from the start.
More specifically we would like to see Tetsuya Nomura; the former director and Kazunari Nojima; the former story drafter, appointed again in order to achieve the maximum fidelity on the original Versus gameplay and story direction; gameplay wise the battle system being close to the original concept that followed a Kingdom Hearts root.
If this project was to happen, Versus would not be seen as a "Remake" of XV but rather a parallel new/old project to the XV-Universe.
Finally, we also want to emphasize that (in our humble opinion) the "Business-Division 2" staff members should not be involved, including Mr. Hajime Tabata (Game Director) and Saori Itamuro, (Lead Scenario Designer) who were responsible for the production of Final Fantasy XV.

i like it. ppl should be happy a company has decided to improve on a game, where as most game companies nowadays leave their games unfinished. that being said, ffxv was clearly missing content, and its nice of them to make this.
im still annoyed about mgsv's cut ladt chapter lol.
tre97able at least they did a survey and trying to put everything u haters like back inside the game. there are ton of other games that the developers left unfinished u know. at least appreciate the fact that they are responding to all the complaints
Hopefully this is longer dlc and more of an improvement to Gladious dlc.
I hope by the end of the year we can control the whole party at the same time, that would be sick, going from noctis to gladio, mix it up with prompto and stab shit with ignis.
I guess Episode Ignis will going to be like stealth game.
