I've personally been abused by the system, but this shows me it's individuals who choose to do so, not the entire cop community.. Hats off to this gentleman.. :)
Great fun! I recall back in 1986 I was stopped on the IOM for speeding up to Ballaugh Bridge by the local constabulary. Thought I was in for a real bollocking. He pointed out the error of my ways and made me ride back to the speed limit sign, get off the bike, take my helmet off and shout out the speed limit to him as he stood at the bridge. Then I had to remount and ride really slowly back to him. Needless to say the observing crowd thought it was hilarious! Great guys! great video! :)
You Sir, are a truly exquisite and perfect exemplar of community policing. And it is because of the likes of you that the Island will continue to draw motorcyclists from all over the world. IOM, otherwise known as the bikers' Heaven on Earth.
Fantastic! A copper with a sense of humour, a sense of proportion, not obsessed with health and safety and seeing the big picture and a knack for engendering support and affection amongst the public. How did he get through selection?
I'm planning on studying physics, what type I'm not specifically sure. I used to want to do Theoretical Physics, but after interning at a hospital for the last few weeks I'm thinking about Dosimetry or Medical Physics. You?
@mrjiarg Thanks for the input. It was an attempt at humour as the guy was genuinely funny and was a great advert for the Isle of Man constabulary. I apologise if it went above your head.
Actually, it appears to have a spike. And it wasnt 'retarded...and that is just an offensive word. Look..my main point was, he cant be a cop because he's being nice to people and not knocking people down! Forget it. People are so unbelievably rude these days.
Ok yes I agree with you. No need for insults. As for the cop being nice. Well come to the UK or Isle of Man. All our cops are always nice. Thats possubly why we are rated as the 2nd best police force in the world
My experience on the IOM was fantastic! The officer I met let me wear his hat , when I told him I traveled all the way from the US he let me wear his vest and hold the Billy club for a photo.
Nice touch !! Great stuff !! This is sooo good to watch !!! Was absolutely lovin it when he got the guys to line up for a racing start !! hehehehe some of them didnt want to race off just in case !! Great post !! Thanks !!!
Later in the week, he had a wireless mic and was 'interviewing' riders/drivers. He also joined the bands at Bushy's, going on stage and singing. He's an inspector now, so I think he has to behave! Excellent title, excellent advert for IoM Constabulary.
@Tzimnewman3 Its set up as a race course because it IS a race course. This was filmed in the middle of the TT season. I'm presuming this happened during the break between races so that people can use the road.
@MCMgames Absolutely! A cop doing his job, interacting with the public, maintaining a presence, keeping things in order while making the community a pleasant experience for everyone.... That is indeed what us tax payers are paying for.
@vanbelkom it's from the isle of man tt, the crowds gather on the promenade outside bushys beer tent, this policeman is just having a bit of fun with the crowd and traffic
cont: The man before he passed away controlled a dozen corporations..I used to have low self esteem - a Russian immigrants son..a no body..Then when I dealt with societies most powerful forces..I found out that I had the ability to deal effectively with those that I was taught were my superiors...so it was a progression- I climbed the food chain and figured out that I was as good as anyone and better than most- so now I have great self esteem. Like you I am also are right as it gets.
Haha brilliant. I love it when he stops the traffic and the watches the TV.. There are two more police across the road pissing themselves laughing. Makes me think that this guy must be a senior officer. The police in America could learn a lot here!!
We had a very funny traffic police officer in Jalandhar( india) . He always had a smile on his face and to control a traffic it was a fun for him. It was unforgettable.
Here is some history- I am a grade 10 drop out..I worked in the film business for 18 years..I found "movie stars" not to be my superiors. Secondly- There was a five year court battle that I spear headed on behalf of a relative- I did not find the Supreme Court my superiors. When I was young I was to marry this conservative senators daughter..40 years later I the pauper was giving advice to her older brother - my would be brother in law- who was worth billions. He respected me.
He used to have a microphone as well - he was great fun & always entertained the crowd right next to Bushy's beer tent on Douglas prom, sadly he doesn't do the TT any more.
this is what is called great policing, and crowd control, and he gets the respect, anyone who thinks other wise are just typical of the trouble makes never happy and no matter what you do its wrong. Well done mate and hat off to you
That made me cry with laughter. It`s what the Island is all about.Adds to it`s magic and mystique. Just excellent. He should be a part of the Islands history.
erm, I think the title is irony. The video shows the world how policing can be done - and it works too. There are many ways to police 20,000 bikers coming to the Isle of Man TT and here, outside one of the beer tents on Douglas promenade, is one of them.
No way didn't know this existed, that's me from 6:43 onwards, that copper is funny, nice to see the light hearted side of them, check out my other TT Onboard videos (boltech46)
I came here for one thing. I am truly glad this vid has wrong header. Was quite a good one and that guy looks like a nice respectable person. Glad to see a good one.
Good to see, Im a bike rider in Australia, our coppers could learn a little from this guy. I live just over an hour away from Phillip Island and its a hell of a venue but its like entering aprison camp on Moto GP Days. Superbike days are better, but yeah lighten up Mr policepeople.
You may think it looks like a third world country but according to the World Bank it is provisionally ranked 8th in the world on a Gross National Income basis for 2011.
Its not as it appears. Anyone notice the way the road is set up as a race course with a large screen. The road may be controlled with people being told that there is a funny sketch with a police officer. Notice the people in the car recording as they drove through.
You can not save those that want to drown. You can not educate those incapable of absorption of wisdom. That is understood. You put it well - "immortalise that idiocy"...I an healthy and strong...I don't need an umbrella in a tornado...I thrive in bad weather...You advice is well taken and will be heeded though.
top copper-this vid should be a training video for all police forces...how to entertain, and command respect from the bikers-and public .. deserves an award for being imaginative,!!!
it only happens on the isle :( if only it were to happen on the mainland :) what a legendary copper. love the drag race, and getting the birds number. epic
Happy Easter Everyone! We are having Ham. I Harvested the Police Officer in the summer, it has been curing in salt and spices since then. Police are Useful. If the Police Officer had tattoos, don't forget the lampshade and wallet craft project. It is a Good Thing.
You and I are guilty in part...we both knew and understood what was happening but avoided the responsibility of assuming a position of leadership and guidance..we were to busy having fun and enjoying life...while the less gifted took over...in the alternative....they really did not want anyone who could think to meddle in their pitiful power mongering affairs- so to hell with them...I wanted to help and they simply drove me out...to bad...I like you had a healthy messiah complex also.
I've personally been abused by the system, but this shows me it's individuals who choose to do so, not the entire cop community.. Hats off to this gentleman.. :)
That's the way all the police should be
Shame more coppers arn't like him.
If all criminals were that well behaved they probably would be.
@@graemesydney38 idiotic lies

What a top bloke...even for a copper, brilliant sense of humour. Wish there were more like him!
You Sir, are a truly exquisite and perfect exemplar of community policing. And it is because of the likes of you that the Island will continue to draw motorcyclists from all over the world. IOM, otherwise known as the bikers' Heaven on Earth.
what a fantastic video . and all done with a straight face . great sense of humour .
A perfect example of community policing. 10/10
yes he is a real cop.isle of man TT the best cops in the world,i know i've been 4 times
Top man!
One reason why you gotta love the Isle Of Man police, this guy is awesome one of the highlights of last years TT.xx
Fantastic! A copper with a sense of humour, a sense of proportion, not obsessed with health and safety and seeing the big picture and a knack for engendering support and affection amongst the public.
How did he get through selection?
This cop is awesome, we need more like this
Crying with laughter while watching this
Me too and as biker I'd like very much to meet a such policeman !
I'm planning on studying physics, what type I'm not specifically sure. I used to want to do Theoretical Physics, but after interning at a hospital for the last few weeks I'm thinking about Dosimetry or Medical Physics. You?
The Police are a three-piece rock band consisting of bassist/lead vocalist Sting (Gordon Sumner), guitarist Andy Summers, and drummer Stewart
i did like the video i wont lie BUT due to your missleading title you earnt a dislike
ты не прав, это реально полицейская жестокость !!
AWESOME! Wish all police officer were like this gent!
if citizens would be like that too, maybe they would
@mrjiarg Thanks for the input. It was an attempt at humour as the guy was genuinely funny and was a great advert for the Isle of Man constabulary. I apologise if it went above your head.
I bet that's not a real cop. He's acting like a nutter. And how about that weird German war helmet?
Fredrik Lund He is a Manx cop. I bloody live there
Fredrik Lund isle of man cop, place where they have the famous TT race
Fiona Beswick Perhaps it's because you posted a retarded comment.
For a start the helmet doesn't even look remotely German. :-)
Actually, it appears to have a spike. And it wasnt 'retarded...and that is just an offensive word. Look..my main point was, he cant be a cop because he's being nice to people and not knocking people down! Forget it. People are so unbelievably rude these days.

Excellent title, excellent advert for IoM Constabulary.
Brilliant!!!! Thanks for Sharing, was at last year's TT Watching this makes me remember The Fun I had at at The Prom :):)
the WKD advert is just perfectly placed...
@Tzimnewman3 Its set up as a race course because it IS a race course. This was filmed in the middle of the TT season. I'm presuming this happened during the break between races so that people can use the road.
@Fujica94 This was filmed on the Isle of Man, yearly they have an island wide motercycle race using their roads so alot of it looks like a racetrack.
This is the FIRST police servant Ive EVER SEEN who has a sense of humour.
WELL PLAYED SIR
Britain's BEST Policeman. The guy deserves a commendation for Police/Public relations! Policing as it should be :-))
its great to see a cop having fun with the people he loves we all need more like this man
@MCMgames Absolutely! A cop doing his job, interacting with the public, maintaining a presence, keeping things in order while making the community a pleasant experience for everyone.... That is indeed what us tax payers are paying for.
The phrase "milking your part" comes to mind. Nice to see a copper enjoying his work, though!
@Lemonjelllo
was the robber still in your house? if not, in which way would it be more helpful if they were there in 10 min or sth?
What year is this from? I noticed the gsxr at the start of the video is a 2000 model..
@vanbelkom it's from the isle of man tt, the crowds gather on the promenade outside bushys beer tent, this policeman is just having a bit of fun with the crowd and traffic
I love the appropriateness of the advertising: Have you got a WKD side?
He needs his own appreciation page on facebook.

The coppers on the isle of man are some of the nicest cops out there. They even say hello.
This guy is a credit to the police force-brilliant sense of humour.
this cop is having so much fun, but as long as he does protects the safety of everyone, I'm loving him so much
Love it how he offered to take down her "particulars"
We had a very funny traffic police officer in Jalandhar( india) . He always had a smile on his face and to control a traffic it was a fun for him. It was unforgettable.
UNBELIEVABLE !! FANTASTIC.
As per other comments. The world would be a better place with people like this in charge with his humour.
A cop with a sense of humour thats getting into the spirit of the IOMTT.. hats off to the guy.. not many good ones left around..

That,s a proper copper, and proper bikers too!
Thanks for uploading that me on the yellow 600f good times!
Good times indeed mate.......some of the magic has been removed by Government.
Great vid. Very refreshing to see someone who isn't too worried about losing his job to enjoy it!
If this is brutality in this area damn I'm moving from the US to there
That guy had gotta be an ex-RSM or something! He just has that swagger about him.
note this is the Isle of Man - so no we're not paying for this out of our taxes! What a great character!
This should be an advert for WKD!
Anonimity + pubescent rage = internet comments.
Haha I can see it back at the station: "Jesus, Bobby, if you didn't want the job, you should've just said something."
That made me cry with laughter. It`s what the Island is all about.Adds to it`s magic and mystique.

What an absolutely wonderful ambassador for the IOM. Love it!
No way didn't know this existed, that's me from 6:43 onwards, that copper is funny, nice to see the light hearted side of them, check out my other TT Onboard videos (boltech46)
Best TT video not containing racing, but definitely contains nuts :)
That's an upstanding officer of the law right there.
He's got a cool hat too.
02:00
You are the best policeman I've ever seen.
Best cop ever, we really need more people like him in law enforcement! :)
The part at 1.15 is the best! :D
183 people don't even know where the Isle of Man is.
I came here for one thing. I am truly glad this vid has wrong header. Was quite a good one and that guy looks like a nice respectable person. Glad to see a good one.

@MrAssassinful didnt realise you were the uploader when you replied, thanks for taking the time to reply to my comment.
that woman with the red cap is HAWT!
To date The Police have sold over 50 million albums worldwide. Rolling Stone ranked The Police number 70 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists
top copper-this vid should be a training video for all police forces...how to entertain, and command respect from the bikers-and public .. deserves an award for being imaginative,!!!
183 don't want too >_
A copper with a sense of humour...if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes lmao.
it only happens on the isle :( if only it were to happen on the mainland :) what a legendary copper. love the drag race, and getting the birds number. epic
I want this man's signature.
Happy Easter Everyone! We are having Ham. I Harvested the Police Officer in the summer, it has been curing in salt and spices since then. Police are Useful. If the Police Officer had tattoos, don't forget the lampshade and wallet craft project. It is a Good Thing.
Love it! Met the bloke today, complete nutter, proper copper!

Our coppers could take some tips from this guy - A classic!
Absolute GREAT.
On IOM everything is possible.
The police are very good here on the Isle of Man especially during TT but this goes above and beyond the call of duty!! :D
@My2Cents You can't see the 200' long beer tent behind the crowd ;-)
So this is what Mr. Bean has been up,to lately...
The nerve of some people! How dare he!
Wish we had Cops like this in the States...
I never knew Tom Hanks was a police officer
Best Ever Brutality if iv'e ever seen any.
brilliant! actually met quite a few pleasant cops when pulled over (if i'm polite and cheerful) but this one takes the cake!!!!
Is this not something to do with the WKD advert behind it?
TT week on the Isle of Man. The whole island is one party. He is a real copper.
