Thank you so much for this! I just picked up this system, can not wait to use it!
your content is always top notch. I really enjoy your videos - keep up the good work Marco!
thanks steven :)
Thanks for the wonderful video Marco! Really love Your style of content. The idea seems amazing too. For now I don't even have an SX70 but this looks like something I will definitely get around to doing. The Polaroid 600 SE and the Graflex are my dream cameras and I know I'll get them one day. Now I'm really enjoying the OneStep+, especially the manual mode. It's great! Going on a trip in the weekend to a national park so I'm definitely taking that with me. I also found an awesome tripod in my house that I didn't even know we've had so I'm taking full advantage of it too. (shooting on a flimsy tripod like I had to do before is just... ugh)
thank you for your review and very helpful information!!! I already order one Rezivot mamiya universal version few days ago. and can't wait to use it. super exciting! Plus I bought a instant lab from ebay too!
perfect, you will like it the build quality is pretty good
YAAS! Almost sold my Instant Lab thats been sitting in a drawer for years! You're the best Marco!
haha good you didn't do it :)
This is goddamn AMAAAAAZING! Gah! I would love to do this for my RB67.
Really looking forward to seeing the rezivot on your mamiya press camera:)
So freaking cool! 😀
Wow! This is exciting! I ordered one and made sure to refer you in the order comments. Now to find an Instant Lab.
oh thanks :) yeah thats a bit harder to find at the moment
@@AnalogThings Ha. Yeah.. Luckily they're available for a somewhat inflated price in my area. I have around 50 Polaroid cameras in my collection so I need to keep using my gear.
Thanks for the information on this channel! It's a great resource.
thats good ;) i think its abit to early for them to pop up on ebay, maybe at end of next year there will be more used ones on the market
picked a instant lab up for 30 pounds the other day. I'm going to convert it and make a pinhole camera. thanks for the upload and the idea you sparked for me
This guy cracks me up! I love him.🤣
ooooo i want one sooooo badly now! had seen them before but wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but looks amazing
yeah, really good quality
now i want a mamiya press or rbz7 hahah nahh too expensive, what i really need is sx70 film , hoping to get some for Christmas , great video Marco as always
haha, yeah i think sx70 is good enough. its just a step up if you "need" it
I am doing this, for sure! Thanks Marco :D (now I need to find a Mamyia UP)
haha, didn't you have the mamiya press?
Nah, I was looking for a reasonable priced integral back before I get one. Found it ;)
This is super cool man. Do they have one of those for a Hasselblad?
Hey there Marco!! I''m patiently waiting for my pre-order RF70 from the guys at MINT. Thanks for all the video tips, reviews, examples you've posted. Question: Have you ever seen a good instant back for INSTAX WIDE film?, Logo had one but it had a crank eject system which reviewed poorly... Any ideas on how to mount an INSTAX WIDE to any other camera?... cheers, keep up the great work and we all hope things worked out for your dear 'ole grandfather over the holidays... Joe, the Canadian reporting from Palm Springs
sadly not, i have seen a few people cut open other cameras and mod them but nothing you could just buy somewhere, i hope rezivot comes up with something
WOW! This would be the ultimate Polaroid integral film camera if it did full frame! Very cool!
you only need the universal and would have full frame
@@AnalogThings I was thinking from the aspect of an SLR like the RB67; I already have a 600 SE with a CB-70
Thanks for this awesome video :) Do you know if it would be possible to perform this mod on an RZ67 back?
Rezivot just released the RZ version. I bought it myself and I cant wait to build it!
I've got a Zenza Bronica ETRS, any ideas to do something like this with instax film?
hi, this is interesting since i have a RB67. Seeing the back it has electronics to push the film out. so it has a battery (replaceable)?
This seems quite useful. Great video! BTW, do you have any fp-100c left or do you buy it on ebay a higher price?
i dont have any fp100c left only a few packs of polaroid material and i dont buy it anymore, just to risky to get bad quality
OMG,so cool
Can you upload like the actual installation of the rezivot? The small screen ain't working for me and the websites instructions are super confusing
I wish Polaroid originals would come out with something like this with out hunting down the instant lab
i can't imagine it with their focus being consumer at the moment
Do you know if a MAMIYA PRESS / rz67 Universal / Polaroid back has arrived? can't find it online
Hi, im trying to change the instant lab battery to take usb power since the battery inside the instant lab is dead. Any advise? I cant find the instant lab repair manual. hope to hear from you ~
Will you get the Instant Magny from NINM lab?
Whats the difference between the 600 universal vs the rb67 conversion kit? Can the 600 universal fit RZ67?
Hello, what's lens on your RB67 ?
I just assembled all the parts on a mamiya universal press and actually it was not that smooth. I had some issues with the back cover it didn't fit I had to dremel some plastic. And the chip was stuck in the instant lab, I struggled to make it out. And after assembling the instant lab with the kit it doesn't perfectly the universal press back. Finally the biggest issue of the conception is that on a universal press you can't slide in or out the dark slide as the finder is on the way. So you have to finish all the cartridge or waste one shot to take off the back. Nevertheless the final image result is pretty good.
same as using the CB-72 back...the plus is that you can go in a dark room or dark bag...remove it and then put in the dark slide...where as with the CB-72, I have to slide in the paper dark slide.
is this kit still available? can't find it on their site
If you were to take photos with words, like a sign. Will the Polaroid photo show it backwards?
Awesome idea! Might do it in the distant future. I have one question, but it doesn't has anything to do with the topic XD your "test pack" film always is film with a tiny bit of chemistry in it. Where did you get that/can I get it to from somewhere😹
these are old expired packs i habe from supersense times :)
@@AnalogThings aah alright, thanks XD
Can you still do something like this with an RB67? If so, how can I shoot Polaroid 600 film on my RB67???
That looks really interesting!! I found it a little difficult to follow though. Could you do a film for the RZ67 Pro2? 😁😁😁
it's not out for the RZ. yet i guess this will be sometime around this year
@@AnalogThings cool. i watched your video a few time. are you breaking apart an instant camera and adapting it to the RB back? cheers
Howdo, I cannot seem to find the product from Rezivot. Any ideas?
How so buy it? On the website it saids $4600 NDT. Will my USA money convert over?
finally i can "check" the frame and exposure" before I expose my expensive Polaroid medium format picture :D
How many Polaroid backs work on Hasselblad
damn, let me get this straight: this works like the push/rolls system of any sx70/600 polaroid but attached to a mamiya camera? WOW!! if only it wasn't 140$ lol. do you know if this would fit on bronica cameras or is it only compatible with the mamiya ones?
they are working on other medium format adapter, but no release dates yet
Do you think that could be adapted to a Hasselblad 500?
they are working on an hasselblad version, so keep watching their site for updates
Analog Things oh great!!! Thank you
I need a back like this for my Bronica!
i dont know what their plans are for different cameras but you can ask them they are really helpful
Analog Things I definitely just sent them an email. I’ve been searching for this exact back for a Bronica. All we have is the Polaroid peel apart back and the picture framing with those is awful...not to mention the availability and price.
Thanks for this though! Great video. I hope you do an updated review after a few weeks/months of use.
i should do so, really need to make some more pictures with it
Analog Things good news that you can maybe share in a future video! I emailed them and they responded within the hour. Rezivot told me that they do have plans for other cameras. They are working first on a hasselblad back first, then will be moving on to other 6x6 cameras, Bronica is one of them. Those cameras, however, will be using the Instax Square, not the Polaroid 600.
This could be perfect for my RB67 👍
check it out, if you dont mind the mirrored image and black border its amazing
@@AnalogThings the mirror and border are no issue. The price is good too. Thanks for the video.
You're sure about the price? The conversion kit cost you about US$150 and you need to find a working instant lab by yourself. And be misunderstand that I'm judging you, I use a SQ6 mod @ RB67 myself.
@@mike216514 where do you get the SQ6 mod from?
Adam Marlow I get mine from a camera hobbyist called Okuthorkit on IG. He taught his skill and procedure to his friend called blackcred on IG. Oku has solid background on engineering skill and access to professional tools too. Mine is his #3, only one without a darkslide and made with Mamiya’s P adapter. He designed a custom mount connecting the modified SQ6 and the RB, with dark slide. The instant back mod just attach the camera like other film backs, so you can use the instax film as your 120 film’s test shots.
No more eBaying for instant lab, original P adapter, tools and time to DIY. The film is smaller but so is the cost per shot. I got mine for as low as HKD50-65 per pack.
Good luck and keep on shooting!
So it's an integral back great! But you have to get the instant lab yourself correct?
yeah, getting it was the hardest part looks like its too early that people sell it but sometimes you can find them pretty cheap
@@AnalogThings I have the 600se have you tried it with that?
Subtitles are hilarious!
what about M645?
Can one use the prism finder with this pola magazine?
oh i dont know, just write them they are super nice
My P adapter is firmly connected with the polaroid back. So I fear that I must bought a P adapter. Today I saw only one offer for 55 Pfund. A little bit expensive.
have there been shipping costs on top to the 4600 NTD?
yeah, i had to pay import tax
@@AnalogThings wie viel hat es dann am Ende gekostet?
Can this be done for a Hasselblad? 6x6 seems like a perfect match
its a bit harder since the film layer of the hasselblad is so close
@@AnalogThings extension tube?
the back would function like an extension tube, if you dont get it flat to the film layer
Thanks for showing, I actually have an instant lab I never use, but 4600 NTD plus shipping is a bit to expensive for me... Anyway, there is a work around for using Instax Mini withe the RB67. I mad a video about it (in German, but easy to understand) I gonna link your video there (maybe you could do the same here) I don't want to spam my link. Please tell me If it's OK to post a link here // Regards Dominik from ARS Analog
Did I understand correctly that the images will be reversed on an rb67?
yes, since the images is not being reflected by a mirror. a downside of that method, so i hope for an instax square back
I think I know this camera ^^ well done! How much did it cost ? I checked the link but is all in chinese ^^
haha, yeah thanks so much for hooking me up. you should be able to switch it to english
@@AnalogThings yeah i did but doesnt change the price.....what is the currency?
@@KeigoMoriyama ca. 132 Euro without shipping and tax
Andreas B thanks! Kind of expensive :( probably better to try to design it
@marco lol you made me buy it!!! Found used one
its not too hard to 3D print yourself but it takes time :)
Although I love my Pentacon Six TL I think I could be more creative with a camera including changing backs.
i think it would not be like that. for the longest time i only had one strobe and looking back at that time i was way more creative by using what i had and working with it.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn’t want to sound like an example of G.A.S. or so, but I‘m quite selective and I have a time to finish a roll of medium format film (6x6). So I could change options on various occasions when having several backs... that’s what I wanted to say.
Where to buy this back?
have to check with them looks like they removed it for now, but i guess they are producing new ones and will put it on the shop again
there is also one more solution to combine an slr or mamiya with polaroid or fp-100 film....try npc.....
are you talking about the 35mm adapter? and fp100 is no solution anymore
@@AnalogThings im sorry for being late and sending you links instead of photos, last week i broke both bones in my forearm and its hard to use my camera to send you something more helpfull. Im talking about this.... www.ebay.com/itm/CANON-F-1-New-F-1N-olive-oliv-US-Govt-Property-NPC-Polaroid-vintage-unique/312170303583?epid=1850838231&hash=item48aeccd05f:g:h9UAAOSwwNVTuU0~:rk:79:pf:0 I have the same system for Nikon FE2 .Its used in the Airforce as boroscope/endoscope in the years of no live vid. there are 2 adaptors one for fp-100 film and one for polaroid pack film. there are many problems trying to shoot an slr BUT since you are doing your own convertion might help...If you 'd like we can hook up in messenger or email or whatever suits you, and talk about it....
Damn, everything is easier to mount on RB67 - why I have RZ67?... :P
go for the mamiya universal instead! =)))))))))))))
@@alexandralefish4236 Nah, RB67 makes more sense for me ;)
konrad is also shooting alot of rollfilm so it's a better fit for him with the RZ or RB
This seems quite expensive to go through all this... I think I'm better off with my packfilm back and One Instant for my RB67
James Lane dude one instant is charging $10 per shot
@@CinemaZiggy but also a bigger neg and I have a lifetime discount
James Lane 👀 care to share?
@@CinemaZiggy 11% and the discount was only for backers. One Instant isn't meant to compete with Fuji Instax or Polaroid. It's a different type of instant film plus costs should go down in the future
the reason they "maybe don't use the Onestep 2" has nothing to do with the DARK SLIDE.... the instant lab is literally plug and play for using it as a back....where as a Onestep 2 would require a dremel minimum. and who the hell knows with figuring out ejection connection. Same reason CB-72 is easier vs trying to convert a OG OneStep.
The instant lab is gone. Sad this video didn't last. The Sense One Shot is a really bad product when developed.
Want someone to create one for a rz back
i think the RZ mounting is a lot more complicated
Yeah, mee too - I'm fiddling with it, as I managed to find this instant lab for 40$, but the mounting part, as Marco mentioned, is really hard to create, there is way less space to work with.
The instant labs cost over $400 usd, CB70s are something like $600 usd and up and the limo diana backs are several hundred as well. Why is someone not producing a current product?
you have to look around i got my instant lab for 30€, it just takes time to find them
not the case anymore....lots of instant labs on ebay now for cheap. even the CB-72's have come down. you just have to be vigilant.
11 minutes of video, just one sample image
