Nothing can stop Brent and Halfass Kustoms.💯
Hello Brent, that Buick is in good shape, great project for Austin. He's going to be the envy of all his friends. Another great program, and look forward to seeing more of this build. Be good and stay safe. 👍
Awesome to be teaching a young man about working on cars. It's something not all young people are interested in. Happy to see you looking like your old self. Fan for life. Bob
It’s great to see you getting on Brent. I admire your tenacity in the face of such adversity. All the best from the UK
I'm 46 now and it's always Great to see the younger generation turning wrenches or just doing something else besides staying on a phone all the time. It gives them knowledge and gives them a trade they can use later on in life. It also teaches them that nothing in life os for free and they have to work hard to achieve goals in life. Keep up the Great Work and Content.
OML youz Canadians, oh the rust is not bad! 😂 Here in Texas we’d be going nuts looking at all that rust! Wizard of Welding back in action soon! 👍👍🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🤘🏻🤘🏻
Glad to see y’all are doing better, can’t wait to see what’s coming next
I remember my grandpa teaching me you're a blessing shirt
Nice to see the younger generation still wanting to work on old cars. Kudos to you Brent for taking the time to help him out with all of it..
'7:40' "for me its only been 3 weeks"...Shop burns down 3 weeks later working on a cool buick as if nothing ever happened...you are amazing!
I just can't help myself I have to watch all your shows. It just makes me feel good
Good to see you wrenching again.... and much respect to you mentoring these young men.... and I think Pablo is wanting a RIDE!! thanks for sharing))
What an amazing opportunity and experience for Auston. Especially having you share your knowledge with. Looks like to me you have a future Hot Rodder in the making. I look forward to more videos .
The real beauty of this is that Austin is much less likely to grow up being one of those less than worthless "you-owe'me" people that don't contribute anything to society but waste the air they breathe. Plus, having been taught how to do the things that are needed to get his car up and running he'll appreciate it more and take better care of it.
It's good to see a grandpa and grandson work good together he's going to be a lot of help
Well Mr. Brent I have been on the road the last six weeks and Ill need to get back out due to plummeted freight rates I have kept up with you and I am very proud of you, you got kicked really hard but you took your lumps and now look at you helping others if anybody needed someone to look up to well I would say you would be that person ,God Bless and Later...
Wow shop is shaping up fast! Looking good.
It's easy to see that Pablo just loves to go cruisin. Getting the young ones interested in doing stuff like this is the best thing you can do.
I like the way that you supervise and let the kid do the work. He'll learn a lot more that way. Keep it up good sir!
Oooh! I like that 1954 Chevy there !
i bet that felt great brent, getting back on the cars. great to see ya back at it mate
You got one heck of a hard working young man there! Glad to see you up and running again!! Can't wait for more.
I love the style of that old Buick, that's probably one of the most important cars that boy will ever own.
The youngster is a worker. That’s good.
Teaching the next generation can be very rewarding, good job Brent.
I vote for finding those old tools and special bits..... in the long run it will be worth it!
Great to see Austin and Ryder working on stuff like this....they're the future of hot rodding 😎👍
Another excellent video Brent, I’m glad to see you’re making the best of a bad situation after the fire and taking it to the next level as you mentor and inspire Austin. I can’t wait to see the ‘54 come to life.
So nice to see the young generation appreciate these old cars and learn to work on them.
Watching you and Auston work together when my son and I tackled projects together... Turned out his skills became far superior to mine... Now I watch in awe as he tackles complex projects...
👍🏼that kids gonna remember you forever!!!
Keep on mentoring and creating a new generation of thinkers an problem solvers 🤔🤩👍🏼
Brent, don't mind those people that say throw it away and buy new , as they don't realize what good tools are or mean working on old cars .... you are the only one that knows what's good or irrecuperable ... i'll bet your old crispy tools are 100 times better then the cheap generic ones for sale today ...
Hi Brent, what a great example you are to Austin. It's not just your knowledge but your sheer determination that he will always remember and be inspired by for the rest of his life.
fancy floor vent very rare option
Great Brent, you are he who rises like a phoenix from the ashes. Congratulations, I love your work, it feels like I'm there helping you.hugs.
Austin is a hard working young man, and he is learning valuable lessons for his future. Great job, Brent, helping him out and teaching him things he can carry throughout his life. I enjoyed the video!
Well, that kid is learning the down-and-dirty of old car rebuilding projects, for sure! First lesson, Patience. Second, Perseverance. Third, Grit.😉
Brent, what you need is about a 4 ft. sq. chunk of 1/2" screening attached to a frame, then you can just shovel the ashes and screen out treasures hiding in there. Take care guy. ✌👍
Way to go Brent , it’s nice to see you moving on , I hope you take your time now and get the workshop you deserve sometime in the future take care and best of luck JOHN 🇬🇧🇬🇧UK
You are every kids dream to mentor through a resto (especially ) on something like the 56 Buick .He will learn patience and the values you have which is so important .God Bless you and yours . Stuart in Ontario...............
Evapo-rust does remove all the rust from tools and chucks and what not. And it can be used multiple times when stored in a dedicated bucket with a lid. It is not toxic, and it is not an acid and it does not damage the good metal. Just dump it in a bucket with the stuff that you want to clean up and let it soak for a couple of hours, or overnight if it is really rusty, and all the rust will be gone. If you still see rusty spots you just let it soak a little longer. I watched several machinists using this stuff when they were restoring tools and lathe chucks and drill bits and stuff like that. It really does the job 100%
I'm happy to see the young man wearing a breathing filter 👍
Nice chrome on the Buick .
You are made of some tough stuff. I am a little older but cannot fathom the positive energy you have. Canada Rocks!
Really like your assistant. I think Austin is learning from a REAL PRO !!!
Nice first car. My senior high school car was a 51 Buick sedan, straight 8 w/automatic trans. Loved that old girl, should have kept her. Miss her more every day.
Good to see you back working in cars Brent !!!!!!!!
Today I was working on my sons mini van trying to replace the rear brake rotors. They were stuck and all the beating with a hammer didn’t work. Can’t afford a $200+ puller so in true Halfass Kustoms style I made one. Mission accomplished. Thanks Brent for the inspiration.
Brent you have a heart of gold! Enjoyed watching you to cleaning the car up!
Brent and Esther Thank you Both for not throwing in the towel! I enjoy seeing your perseverance! You Guys Rock!
Excellent Day's Work Boys, That Buick's Gonna Be SSSWWEEETT 🏆🏆 GBA 🤗 Gary.
A new build with an eager and capable apprentice. It can only mean one thing: Your Back!
When that young man starts driving he will have a cool and safe ride that Buick is like a tank and he will have fun getting it ready
So awesome to see you pushing on and full steam ahead, l cannot begin to fathom what all you are dealing with and how you feel every time you are around the old shop, hell its hard for me to watch the old videos from in there just seeing all the cool stuff and amount of tools you had. keep up the awesome work and perserverence my friend. do you swap shop stickers?
Awesome to see you working with your grandson on his first car! 👍👍
Austin will remember the rest of his life working with you on his first car. 👍👍
Brent, you are a scholar and make such a great impression on these young boys, plus teach them how hard work and how it pays off with getting a their first car. I bet they are so excited about getting their first car and working on it, telling their friends all about it. Picking all those dirt buggers from working all day and learning from the best hot rod engineer on UA-cam. Take care my friend.
Brent, Just hearing your positivity has helped my downfalls melt away.. Scotty, Canyon Lake , TX thank you again and again🙂🙂
After a bit of floor pan fabrication and some repair of minor rust spots, that car is gonna be seriously ready for more attention. Good on Austin for working so hard to clean it out, take out the seats, uninstall the heater, grease the front end, and get to know it a lot better.
Austin has a fantastic teacher. Glad to see he loves cars as much as you do.
Helping and teaching your grandkids is great. A good man Brent. You are a special man! Enjoy watching you.
Good to see the young feller getting some practical experience, he’ll appreciate when he’s actually driving this car !! 👍👌🤗
You are back on track, doing what you do best-fixing every thing in sight!
Slowly but surely, getting back to normal
I have had a stock '56 Buick 4 door hardtop for 38 years. I love the car. It is a bit like driving boat. I did upgrade the brakes so it would actually stop, but it still has the stock motor, suspension, and the original interior. Austin's car is a 1955 Buick.
I admire your attitude Brent.
That 54 ish Chev coupe. If it’s your first new car project since since the fire, should be called the Phoenix
Awesome Austin.....great car our family car growing up ...
GOOOD to c the shop forman checking out everything also..
Great update Brent , thanks for taking us along 👍😎
When I was 3 years old my grandfather had a 56 Buick two door hard top and I loved that car he had a picture of me at 3 years old sitting on the hood !
Austin is a determined worker and a good hand at it. When the car is done he will be a car builder and we’ll trained.
I know it’s not just me but I wish I was Austin right now! Lucky guy working on old cars 😎
Brent, man the shop is filling up fast!! Awesome!!!!
Austin a great kid. Glad to see he’s wearing safety equipment. Glasses , gloves , mask.
Oh ya tell Austin he’s going to learn how to be a great mechanic of improvision. He learning from one of the best.
WOW!! Awesome episode! Reminds me of a book I read in skool called Boy Gets Car!
Buick brake parts, Kanter auto parts. helped me a long time ago on a 1956. keep up the good work
Another lucky lad to have you sir Brent showing and teaching them .The Buick reminded me way back my dad got a Buick hearse he cut the car behind the door post and put a flatbed on it .Anyway great to see you in good spirits all the best sir Brent well done
Pablo not missing a ride 😄😄
I love watching you work together on a family project. My old man just wanted to be left alone to swear at the Ford falcon under the chestnut tree.
It's just like watching video of me at 13 working with my dad. He always seemed to be doing something, but now I realize he was teaching. Great job sir.
I liked the parting shot of this video,
A man and his dog going for a ride in their hot rod,
All things considered , life is good
Fantastic, seeing auston getting and working hard, many young kids just want it given to them, keep up the great work, learn from the pro.
Good job showing him what can be done with some hard work, this will impact him greatly as he gets older. Hoping to see more progress in future videos!
That old 53(?) Chevy will make a GREAT 'sleeper' street rod.
Re: the debris, knock together a 'shaker table' with 2×4 lumber, and 1/4" mesh screen, get all the big crud out, rakeit up, and sift it out, might be worth it finding a bunch more tools and usable bits.
a buddy's car (AMC Gremlin)was hit from behind with 5 gallons of gas in a can in the back, completely burned out, dash and all.
peeled the crud out, and in that crud found his billfold which had been in glove box - intact money, credit cards and all, leather was a bit darker, and smelled smoky, otherwise it was fine. he still has it (after it aired out) kept it as a memento. your old unwanted tools would make great 'prizes' by the way for your fans.😎
Glad you are showing the younger generation
Looks so nice to have a garage to work in !
This is an amazing opportunity for Austin to learn literally everything about a rebuild from a master craftsman, great stuff 👍🏻
Thank for the video. Hopefully y'all are doing well. See y'all later..
“We continue motoring on.” That pretty much says it all. Best wishes.
My father-in-law had garage much like your shop. Just full of stuff he’d collected over decades. After getting over the initial loss, and rebuilding the shop of his dreams, he was constantly reminded of the loss every time he was looking for something he knew he had.
Got to look forward, not backwards. I know it’s hard.
I’m digging. The. Music. While. Austin. Cleans. Good. Choice. Thanks
Great to see the young generation getting involved in the hobby and being interested is driving the 'old stuff'. Great video. Some hard work well done. Be safe and stay well.
I would've been in heaven at that age ...
My 1st car was a 73 Chevelle...
Not a collector car these days but Id love to find one...Mine was
maroon with a black interior...
350 , 4 speed ...
It ran great...not much for power though...
Suited my dad ...lol.
Glad to see you in good spirits! And moving forward, helping these youngsters get into the old car , hot rod thing is awesome! Both your nephews I’m sure?👍
I’m happy to see your still plugging away Brent and not giving up.
Love the old Buicks with the portholes, so cool!
Loved Pablo sneaking in to the back seat as soon as Brent’s back was turned :D
Awwww, Pablo wants a drive! ❤
Really love the looks of the old Buick. It’s a clean car. Like the looks and the lack of rust. The door panels are in good shape too for a 70 year old Buick.
Cool video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
THe time you have spent with Auston in this clip is some that he will never forget. Your patience with him explaining how to do something that I know you would do in 1/4 the time just shows what a special. Love to see your progression. Take car...Don
Your awesome Brent you just keep going. It’s great to see you helping and getting the young kids into the old cars and carrying on the tradition.
