Cheers Paul! Yeah they’ll slow down now I’m getting to the meatier jobs 👍🏻 Haha yep, one very seized, rusty and rounded cross head screw mounting the rear brake reservoir! Took some persuasion 😉
I’m trying to think back, as my new one doesn’t have a remote reservoir, but I remember the bracket mounting beneath the battery box I think. Possibly on the cross beam in the frame.
Love your videos! I’m going to be tearing into my bike to change the plugs and air filter, how hard was it to get the tank off? Do I have to remove a bunch of the front fairing like I think I’m going to?
Cheers! The tank is pretty straightforward. Same for the fairings, just take it slow and keep checking everything’s undone before you pull something too hard. There’s a few electrical connections etc that need to be released. I found taking the rad off it’s mounts and moving it forward helped when doing the plugs 👍🏻 best of luck!
If the fuel tap is set to off, and you keep it relatively level, it shouldn’t spill any. I usually lay a rag down around the tap when I first pull off the fuel line. Good luck 👍🏻
Nice work, keep going mate.
I searched Tom Robins Stripping 4K and this came up. I'm not even disappointed.
Striiiiiiiiiiiped! 😂👌
Subscribed and looking forward to see more episodes! Greetings from Argentina!

El cartucho de gas del amortiguador central; donde se coloca; tiene un soporte pero no se donde fijarlo. Gracias

On a 87 fzr1000 how to take the gas tank off without spilling gas?

I had 89 model, Yamahas are real crusty to work on. That’s why I bought a fireblade.
