Bought my Steam Deck last month, on the 6th, and have absolutely loved it. The biggest drawback is now that I have a device that can run every game I want to play, and can play them wherever / however I want to play them, I have this issue where I keep starting new games constantly. In the last four weeks, I have started playing 6 games, and have only beaten 1 of them. I have a list of about 35 games in my library that I want to potentially play, both backlog stuff and replays of old favorites, and then there’s the Winter Sale coming next week where I can finally purchase all the stuff I couldn’t play before when I had no PC / bad PCs. So yeah, the Steam Deck is great for playing video games, but not great for finishing them.
Solution: Downgrade your SSD so that you can only install a couple of games at once and don't use the SD slot! That will help you to stay focused. 👁👁👁👁
@@adritrace88 No, I’ve been a PC gamer for a while. I made my Steam account back in 2011, and before that I was also into MMOs (RuneScape). The last time I was genuinely a console player was during the 6th generation, with the GameCube and PS2, and for a small portion of the 7th with the Wii and Xbox 360, though I didn’t use those systems nearly as much. The difference now, like I said, is the lack of limitations. I always played on low-end hardware and couldn’t run many games very well. I spent a long time putting up with poor frame rates and choosing to most play games that didn’t need much to run, which sufficed for a while. The Steam Deck is the first time I’ve had a “real” gaming PC, and so now that big dam that was holding back my options has burst, leading to a flood that’s left me drowning in, “Ooh, I can play that now. Ooh, I can replay that at better performance,” and so on.
I got one of the original "Q2" 64GB Steam Decks. I love the device and how it easy and simple it has become to get in and out of games. Although the OLED is a nice upgrade I try make more conscious purchasing decision these days. I told myself that this will be my handheld for the next 10 years, and I intend to honor that. We get so caught up in wanting the latest tech and latest games all the time that we forget to slow down and appreciating what we already have.... "Oh!" you have trouble running that latest AAA game? Why don't you play another one? 😅or why not stream it from a more powerful PC... 🙃 The device plays 98% of titles... And honestly, that last 2%-hunt is quite exhausting.

You can now find the Z1 Extream devices for around $500 and cheaper if you get an open box model. Idk if the Steam Deck is the value option anymore. In my opinion, the reason to get a Steam Deck at this point is for Steam OS or if you like the Steam Deck hardwar/form factor. Freedom Planet 2 , Dungeon Clawler, Grapple Dog 2, Crow Country, Bounty if One, and Tevi. I don't want to know how much it'll hurt my wallet, but VR 3D Sculpting is so cool but the specs of a Quest 3 are kinda limiting.

Just go get a used ROG ally or Lenovo Legion go for $450 on marketplace. Blows the steam deck out of the water in terms of performance and pretty much everything else, install bazzite if you want a steam OS like operating system. Or just wait for valve to release it hopefully pretty soon. I think recommending this when a used Lenovo Legion go and ally prices are very similar. It’s just a bit odd. Just my opinion tho
Sony doesn't money loose on the PS5 since 2021 neither is Nintendo in fact Nintendo never sells at loss only Microsoft still use that technique . Sony’s $499 PlayStation 5 console is no longer selling at a loss. Bloomberg reports that Sony chief financial officer Hiroki Totoki shared the news just a week after the company announced it had sold 10 million PS5 consoles.
Can we at least fix the basics first? Like the sound crackling after waking a game from sleep mode for example so I didn't have to waste time rebooting steam deck completely just to fix it? Overall steam deck is a device just to play indie games. It can only go 40fps for most bigger games so in that sense it's mediocre and you better go with something better like rog ally for example. The best use for steam deck is being stuck at home on a couch streaming games form pc to deck. But if you're stuck at home (or don't have public transportation to play on during commute in your country, like the US) and have a pc you can stream from you might as well just play directly on pc instead. And your trip to the bathroom can perfectly go without steam deck to be honest.
0:33 well thats a dumb assumption and I definitely don't agree. Maybe only on the lowest tiered ones. I think they make a small profit. I seriously don't understand why ya'll believe this.
Imagine calling someone’s statement dumb, and then following up with an uneducated response. There’s a reason that not one single company can get their prices down enough, to compete.
Everyone knows that consoles are a loss leader that make money on selling games. The money is made from the cut the console manufacturer makes from sales from their digital stores or licensing fees.
I bought second hand Steamdeck for 260$ but in reality Steamdeck better for Emulators or old title cuz its lag or High resolution+ weak Gpu I really really want to steamdeck 2 n I don't choice another window handheld cuz of Steamos I really like it
Handhelds are trash! Never used my Switch as handheld. Valve better release a console. THAT will be a game changer. And if they're smart, they'll release HL3 and Portal 3 with it.

It's a 2021 huge device with a screen too small, underpowered gpu, and unfriendly desktop OS. It can barely play 3D games higher than 30 fps low settings. It's just an old device that should hopefully be replaced by a new generation soon enough
@@osn19 thats funny because I'm playing AAA games on my oled at high/ultra settings with no problems what so ever, as for the screen most handhelds are the same size or smaller except for the legion go so I don't know what your expectations are but it's a handheld dude.

I'm on my 4th deck lol, 2 LDC's and 2 OLED's. Limited edition and white limited edition.
If Valve fixes their D-pads I'd buy such a Steam Deck right away :)
To me the D-pad is the Steam Deck's only downside - and a huge one.
I heard “steam deck” about 9999 times
Isn’t it crazy that games are releasing that REQUIRE ray tracing? Take ya time Valve
Sony doesn't money loose on the PS5 since 2021 neither is Nintendo in fact Nintendo never sells at loss only Microsoft still use that technique . Sony’s $499 PlayStation 5 console is no longer selling at a loss. Bloomberg reports that Sony chief financial officer Hiroki Totoki shared the news just a week after the company announced it had sold 10 million PS5 consoles.
need something that can fit 1tb NVME and then we're deal.
So what exactly is making the best better did I miss something in the video?
This just isn’t true at all. There is no way a steam deck costs this much to make
Why are the RG ally and Legion go more expensive? I don't know, maybe the way way more powerful processors and 2k display at 120hz
And your trip to the bathroom can perfectly go without steam deck to be honest.
a second OLED sounds good to me Kappa
Streets of Rogue deserves some attention!
figures I get the white oled and they start selling refurbished oleds lol
Please check your links at least one is missing
Microcenter sells Steam Decks
I bought my 512GB LCD Steamdeck refurbished from Gamestop
I have been buying games non stop on Steam since i got Steam deck . I don’t even play all the games lol😅
the best NEVER REST
microcenter now stock steamdecks
Still no FiveM compatibility smh
Also I've watched like, 5 videos from this channel now despite not being a sub? No idea how that happened. Take my sub now, I guess!
So Gabe said it’s „painful“ because valve males too much money on it?
Can. Just say I am loving the indie game BROLL
I bought second hand Steamdeck for 260$ but in reality Steamdeck better for Emulators or old title cuz its lag or High resolution+ weak Gpu
I really really want to steamdeck 2 n I don't choice another window handheld cuz of Steamos I really like it
you goofy if you think they losing money on every model. Only the base model bro, it don't cost 200 bucks for a 1tb m.2
Handhelds are trash! Never used my Switch as handheld. Valve better release a console. THAT will be a game changer. And if they're smart, they'll release HL3 and Portal 3 with it.
BROTATO! i love brotato
Valve can be nicer than jesus but I'm fucked because they don't sell it in my regione and local retailers don't give a f about new lower prices refurbished or anything like that store bought 512 oled is 812$ and best u get for used is 630$.... fuck this economy
@@xcal1bre998sounds like a ps fan or something. I bet he has the portal
Nothing wrong with a PS Portal.
@@NerdNestthe comparison I’m making is someone saying that everything about the steam deck is bad and he’s probably comparing it to an ally or probably the portal. Everything’s wrong with the portal because it’s the most expensive Handheld on the market because I have to buy a ps5, psn, and the portal to make it work in my living room, just my living room.
This is some awesome bait, good job
Steam deck path of exile 2 enjoy 😂😂😂😂 fps sturrer party ....
it's just too big, I'm never going to bring anything that big anywhere
@@TheJoshuaJames You don't have to bring it anywhere. It's also great for just playing around the house, on the couch, in bed, on the toilet... I've even used it at my desk, right next to my PC while I wait for Blender to finish rendering.
@@552jacki3 Yeah, I mostly play mine at home. It's nice if you're just laying down and it's a lot more portable than a laptop + mouse.
