When I was about 8 months pregnant with my daughter, I got the worst craving for egg rolls. Lucky for me, the Chinese takeout was within walking distance, so I called and ordered 6 egg rolls. The person on the phone sounded a bit confused, but they took my order without questions. I walked in to pick them up, my big belly before me, and the person behind the counter said, "Oh! You ordered the egg rolls!" 😂

As a teenager in the 80's, we would go through the drive-thru at McDonald's, get a large fries, then drive a block away to the Wendy's, get a Frosty and then park in their lot to dip away. The fries/milkshake combo is far from being a pregnancy craving, it is just an anytime craving.

0:51 It would have been cool if her dad would have planted a little tree where she buried the hotdog aglet her think she was growing a hotdog tree. I think she would have really liked that. She probably would have taken good care of the tree watering and fertilizing it with ketchup and mustard. Until she gets older and understands that it's really not a hotdog tree. But the happy memories she gained from that moment would have been more important than the tree in general.

Funny thing is, a lot of times pregnancy cravings are based on what your body thinks it needs at that moment. I used to eat a ton of salt when I was pregnant because I ate basically none before, it also reversed this problem with beef I had. It made me nauseous as all hell and I couldn't even smell it, then I got pregnant and I guess I really needed protein cause I've eaten beef ever since and I haven't had a problem with it in almost 4 years.

But the weirdest things I wanted was tuna fish salad sandwiches with either strawberries or melon. I would dip strawberries into tuna fish salad it totally grossed my mom out a lot, of course she hated tuna. Apparently when my mom was pregnant with me she would peel cucumbers and roll it in salt, but she said she also would get salt licks from the pet store and eat them. One of my favorite things to eat is zesty dill pickles with extra sharp cheddar cheese, my family always asked me if I was pregnant even though I’ve eaten this my whole life starting at age 6.
