I've always thought the classic pregnancy food craving was "pickles and ice cream", but "chocolate and war crimes" deserves an exalted place in that mad hierarchy. Hats off, Seamus!
I loved and still love pickles and ice cream or pickles and peanut butter,
Dill pickles not sweet pickles
When he said Mad bitch I just couldn't with him 😂😂😂😂
I actually think that the whole lemon is more weird than egg and horse radish. Egg and horse radish mayo is soooooo good.
For my mother is was mayo, banana, and pickle sandwiches... I still get the shivers at the thought of it.
@@jasonsexton8869 for my mom it was fresh strawberries and a specific type of salty licorice. Not the same cravings when she was expecting my sisters though xD
anne's look of disgust to sean after hearing it was chocolate milk and tuna is a whole mood
Okay, this replaces the first one for being brutally disgusting.
That was absolutely the best thing I have seen in the last year or so. Almost like a ventriloquist's dummy with the slow turn and stare.
Fookin' DAGGERS!
I laughed out loud until I gagged.
I gagged thinking about the combo when the title card popped on the screen.
The look back from Anne at 3:59 after hearing "chocolate milk and tuna"...perfect.
The turn and stare that lasts for what feels like ever is so hilarious 😂 This needs to be a gif!
I had to pause the video from laughing so hard at the LOOK Anne gave the crew when she was told it was chocolate milk and tuna at 3:55
The Look + mouth swishing absolutely sent me 😂
@@Silverity She keeps gargling it with the death stare. So funny!!!
I made it through Anne's look though I was laughing hard. Then a few seconds later Seamus said it tasted like chocolate milk and war crimes and I completely lost it. That's when I paused the video.
I read a psych study a while ago that most pregnancy cravings really aren't that complicated: your body needs more salt, sugar, iron, whatever. The problem is that the brain is not an index of food nutrients, so it just grabs a random memory of a food that has what you need.
That explains why my mom who was a very healthy eater says she never had any pregnancy cravings.
I dunno. I've had two very different pregnancies. The first I was queasy and I couldn't eat the food I like, eg fish, veg, garlic, spice. I had to eat bland kiddie food. The second I was fine with food. I just felt really tired from the get go.
That was (is?) a common thought in the dietetic community. I learned that back in the 80s when I was in the Air Force. The growing baby needs certain vitamins, minerals, and amino acids during different stages of development. That's why prenatal supplements are recommended. Just make sure they are from a natural source. Our bodies cannot process many of the "lab" created versions, or they are not complete. C, D, and B vitamins are important and have different "types". Vitamin C is the most frequently overlooked because you are only getting "Ascorbic Acid" from one source (usually a lab) instead of a variety of natural sources. C detoxes the blood, boosts the immune system, helps develop a strong nervous system.
Whoops.. Sorry my fingers started to soapbox again 😅
@@johnwilliams8818 Although do note that allergies during pregnancy are not uncommon and this can affect naturally sourced vitamins (eg, a small percentage of women become temporarily allergic to citrus). So the artificial vitamins absolutely are recommended in some cases.
Yes. Similar with certain minerals and why some pregnant people crave ice or dirt.
I love how egg&horseradish, being an easter staple in Poland is "weird pregnancy craving" here. Love from Poland
Grainne going for the bucket in record time, with Colin's laugh. It was priceless. Then Anne's face said it for me, right at that moment.
"That's chocolate milk and tuna," he says. The look on Anne's face is all the reply we could hope for. 🤣🤣🤣
The mix of eggs and horseradish is actually a traditional combo for Easter in Poland (and I bet in other slav countries too).
That’s a great point
That sounds just fine.
As it is, many of us in the states and I’m sure elsewhere add mustard to deviled eggs, and that’s close to horseradish.
@@Ira88881 A little horseradish in an egg salad or deviled egg actually sounds good. The key words are "a little".
@@jedgar63 When I make it, it’s mayo, a drop of Dijon, and sprinkled with paprika.
I think that’s a pretty standard recipe for deviled eggs.
I would ask my wife, but she hasn’t been in the kitchen cooking since 2005.
I stuff my deviled eggs with crab meat.
If looks could maim Anne would have sent Sean home in a basket.
What a fine variety of reactions to a weird assortment of flavours - great entertainment and well done all!
TRY deffo delivered on the CHAOS on this one 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Good on ya with rhe lemon! I think I'd get thru 1/4 before my stomach revolted
"Chocolate milk and war crimes" LOL
I was dying at Anne's look of "chocolate milk and tuna". One of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Thank you for the belly laugh.
Anne Doyle's reaction the the chocolate milk and tuna was priceless. WHY did you do this everyone!! poor tryers. 💜💜🤣😂
My craving was 7-Eleven coke slurpes and nachos 😋 I walked for over an hour for them when my husband was out fishing. Couldn't get enough of them. I even tripped up the stairs holding them in each hand and was only worried about spilling them. Not the baby.🤔
Not pregnant. You were stoned.
That look on Annie's face is priceless!😆😆😆
I have trust issues because of this channel! I’ve never laughed so much at a show as this one!
I've heard that craving can often be linked to some deficiency for the mother. Like a common odd one is dirt but because they may be lacking iron. And their body knows it strongly enough to give them cravings for something they know has it. But I don't have any real experience with it, just what I've heard.
I never had weird cravings for stuff like this, thankfully. Pregnancy #1 the only thing I craved was Honey Nut Cheerios. I'd go through 3-4 boxes per week, sometimes more. With pregnancy #2, I craved vanilla milk shakes and McDonald's double cheeseburgers. I'd drop my son off at preschool and continue on to McDonalds to get my burger and shake for lunch. He never knew what he was missing out on!
Seamus: "No one would ever be that much of a Mad Bitch to do that." ROTFLMFAO!
I know Seamus has never been married, because they're out here, among us!
The way Anne looked at the camera with death in her eyes during the chocolate milk and tuna. Wow!
I like the form that you don't tell them what it is before they try it. It seems more honest of a reaction.
Egg and horsradish actually sounds great...
When Séan said he'd been slaving to make Buddy The Elf's spaghetti, I was thinking 'No wonder Hello, Fresh wasn't the sponsor.'
Eggs & horse radish actually sounds class, but I might be a bit odd. And the lemon too, though I might prefer a lime myself. As for the rest, I think some people might need their head examining.
When I was pregnant a thousand years ago, I craved Apple Jack cereal and Tacos. My daughter HATES both to this day...LOL!
I just love the way Irish people say tuna. It's almost as if there's a "ch" in there. "chtuna". Just charming.
Sometimes pregnant women eat weird things because they are needing more vitamins. My sister would dig out freezer ice to eat. The doctor determined she was iron deficient.
My friend's mother had that happen to her when she wasn't even pregnant. She did it on a plane and the person next to her told her about the iron thing. That one might be universal.
Wow. That’s interesting! I wonder why freezer ice has iron? Because people keep meat on the freezer? (I’m a clueless vegan who takes iron pills!)
@toby the ice doesn’t have iron. Studies are unclear as to why people with low iron crave it but it is well know that they do.
@@midniteillusion3 That’s very interesting! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to do some more reading up on this. It’s fascinating.
I can now die a happy man knowing that lemons have fleshy entrails.
Thank you for suffering for our entertainment. When you have a new place to receive packages I'll be sending something nice for you to try. As funny as this is, I do like it when you get things that make you happy!
Lordy when I was pregnant my cravings were White Castle sliders or asparagus. This was insane. Great work holding it down.
The expression of everyone with the chocolate milk and tuna was priceless
The look Anne gave at 4:00 was perfect! 😂
Lol my craving was Nuremberg Bratwurst on a roll with mustard, Ketchup and m&m or chocolate on it! My female Co workers nearly got sick watching me eat this on break time
Horseradish is the secret ingredient to good coleslaw!
Arby's will never be safe again.
And mashed potato 😋
It's the secret in my home made 1000 island dressing
I feel very blessed that my only pregnancy craving was fried won tons.. grease + salt for the win.
My mom had a weird switch in her cravings between me and my sister. With me, she had an intense craving for Chinese food and an equally intense revulsion for pizza. When my sister was incubating, she *needed* pepperoni pizza like every other night and couldn’t get within a 100 ft of a Chinese restaurant! But bridging the weirdness was her craving for chicken hearts and livers, which she got from KFC and popped like candy until the days we popped out.
I had to watch it twice. I was laughing, choking and tearing so much that I missed it the first time through.
I want to make fun of Anne's top so much BUT she looks so so so so very lovely in it. Anne's overall look is just so lovely!
I'm not a fan of ice cream or seafood. But, throughout my entire pregnancy, I ate sardines in pistachio ice cream. I had never eaten either of them before and have not had either of them since.
I'm not even pregnant, but now I want egg and horseradish!
Actually boiled egg, hamburger paddy with clumps of garlic and horseradish, and a large slice of sourdough bread, great breakfast.
Anything egg has me at least curious.
@@lynnevetter pregnant women have eggs
yeah the egg and horseradish sounds great to me 😄
@@1979genius so do non pregnant women. 🤣
Chocolate milk and war crimes!! Omg I nearly fell off my chair and I had to pause the video and wait til I could see through the tears on that one! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My mom was famous when in the hospital having me. Her craving? Little Debbie Nutty Bars covered in smoked oysters from the can.
Eggs and horseradish, also polish sausage and horseradish was always served as part of our Easter cold dinner (not allowed to cook on Easter, everything cooked the day before).
Lemon popcorn was a treat while I was pregnant. I'd zest a lemon & juice it then whisk the lemon juice & half the zest with melted salted butter & pour it all over fresh pan popped popcorn & finish it with salt & the rest of the lemon zest. Garlic & rosemary butter popcorn was the other kind I really enjoyed.
Egg and horseradish sounds yummy!
I lost it at the utter elation when the lemon came out
I'm still absolutely in love with that lemon tattoo and it looks so vibrant still!
As someone with a lot of plant tattoos, I always notice the lemon and am impressed by it.
During my first pregnancy as soon as I hit my third trimester I wanted copious amounts of pickles & tomatoes in cottage cheese & horseradish on everything. Basically my body was telling me I needed more calcium, folic acid & vitamin C. I also loved diced sweet & spicy peppers in vanilla soft-serve
The doughnut and the popcorn looks delicious. I think the spaghetti would be too sweet for me.
My craving was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a chocolate snowball on top with marshmallows and french fries.
I agree on the chocolate gnache on donuts. I can deal with regular donuts but the chocolate is just icky.
My pregnancy craving was really cheap pizza and fruit tons of fruit. Malt vinegar kettle cooked potato chips. Coffee tons of coffee. My child now craves everything I ate my entire pregnancy.
Hence leftovers are an almost never around the house.
Thank you for this video!!!
Much better than Buddy the Elf's spaghetti is Pappardelle Pasta's dark chocolate linguine. They have a stall at Seattle's Pike Place market but they have a website too!
My mom would crave the oddest things, but always covered in Frank’s Hot Sauce (and it had to be the Frank’s brand). I remember we’d go through a 25 ounce bottle every week. Sometimes she’d just drink it straight (like a shot).
Her weirdest craving was butter pecan ice cream, liquid nacho cheese, franks hot sauce, and baby pickles followed by popcorn with ranch seasoning and franks hot sauce.
I recall absolutely loving sliced bananas in chef Boyardee when I was pregnant.
I end up having horseradish semi-frequently, because I like sushi. The wasabi packets that are often free are not actually wasabi, but are made of horseradish.
The comment "is it chocolate milk and war crimes" had me rolling! 😂
Hmmm. Well some have it a true go and well some fell short. Kudos to one’s that grew a pair and trudged on!! Love you guys!!
Oh, you eat lemons every day?
This explains sooooooo much.
Oh boy, Friday afternoon silly buggers 😀
3:58 the death glare got me in stitches
I never had weird cravings. The only thing I did really crave was with my second and it was pretty much anything lemon flavoured. I would buy the fillings for a lemon pie and eat it like that lol. That's the weirdest I got.
According to my dad, my mother's worst one was rocky road ice cream with anchovies and barbecue sauce and to drink with this was seltzer water
My favorite pregnancy snack was pickle slices topped with Hershey kisses and hot sauce....YUMMMM
Nothing weird about egg with horseradish- it's wonderful!
I love watching these videos!
This was one of the funniest Try vids I have seen. And it wasnt as intense as others!🤣🤣
So far the only weird ish cravings I’ve had are white chocolate + popcorn and mandarin oranges + cottage cheese. Then pickled things. Nothing crazy yet. The night my mom went into labor with me she craved a strawberry milkshake alongside mozzarella sticks.
Chocolate milk and war crimes HAHAHAHA! That made me spit out my drink!
I craved peanut butter cups dipped in spicy mustard with my first one and mushrooms on everything with my second lol
Even as a kid watching elf the pasta always looked gross to me like when I saw that popped up I gag so props to you guys for trying it but I don't think I could I'd be throwing up everything 😅 🤣
"Someday, I'm gonna chocolate milk & tuna-board you." 🤣
"Chocolate milk n war crimes" lmao
The guy with the lisp needs to be in more of these videos. He's great!
Here in the Buffalo, NY area, egg and horseradish is kind of common, especially in the Polish neighborhoods. At easter time they put eggs, butter lamb (butter molded like a lamb), horseradish, and other goodies for the kids, like chocolates. ect. Take it easy.
Seamus is funny! 😃 Love this channel. Always look forward to Mon, Wed, and Friday.
Love the Simpson's reference !
When I was pregnant, the love was sandwiches with peanut butter, Kraft cheese slices, and relish. It wasn’t the worst thing
Good one all. The chocolate milk and tuna got me haha
ROF, I had to pause to run to the wc or pee my pants, laughing so hard at this one; brilliant, guys! 🤣🤣🤣
When I was pregnant, my cravings were more general. "I want a bowl of vegetables", "I could mainline a litre of milk", "meat, meat fucking MEAT". I assume my body needed certain nutrients. However I DID once get a craving for black pudding. I blame Bill Oddie
Oddly here in the States, our "Wasabi" is made with Horseradish. They have a Similar "Burn", but the taste is like Comparing Pepsi to Coke. Similar, but not the Same!
Yeah I hate both of them with a passion 😄
I like how two sets of Tryers are dressed like goth mimes and then Bla and Anne are the Pastel Pals :)
The only thing I craved during pregnancy was solvents! 😂 sniffing nail varnish remover like it was the best thing ever.
The head turn that Anne did when she found out it was chocolate milk and tuna made the whole video worthwhile. If looks could kill, that look would have been genocide. LMAO
Something similar to the chocky milk and tuna is Champorado ( a chocolate rice porridge) with Bulad ( dried fish) it’s very common in the Philippines, where the combination of sweet and salty is quite prevalent.
I'm so glad I watched this episode! Now for the egg and horseradish!!
Nacho cheese Doritos and cream cheese! Bomb
Egg and horseradish. So....a Seder?
😆 chocolate and war crimes! Good one Seamus! When I was pregnant with my first child I HAD to have chicken soft taco supremes from Taco Bell and with my second I HAD to have chili cheese dogs from our local hot dog shop. Now the one is hooked on tacos and the other is hooked on hot dogs 😆😆
There's not many videos that I have to fast-forward thru - but this was one of them.
i feel like all the tryers need a good hug after this one.
My mom always craved peanut butter and pickles.
Watching them pile that horseradish onto the eggs.....I was like "Have they never had horseradish before?? It's HOT!" lol I'm laughing because I don't believe ANYONE ever craved any of these things. I think Colin and Sean just put a bunch of odd items written on paper and pulled them out of a hat. But I'd be all over that donut and popcorn!
💚 This reminds me of my teenage cravings of a whole peeled and mushed lemon in a zip lock with a bit of sea salt and gobs of black pepper! But I have a feeling if I ever were to be pregnant I'd probably crave a very citrussy Pico de Gallo blended into a juice. OMG, that sounds so good! I say lets forgo the pregnancy and add a splash of vodka to that juice eh?! 🍹
That B loves lemons is shockingly unsurprising. 🥰
03:58 if looks could kill, Anne just annihilated us all 😡
My wife enjoyed blended pickles with lemons chocolate sauce and fish sauce. U add whole lemon 3 dill pickles whole 3 tablespoons of fish sauce and 1/4 the cup chocolate sauce to a blender then drink it. She had this nearly everyday for 3 months of her pregnancy. I was never brave enough to try it. Wanna see the people on try try it
I'm crying! 🤣🍫+🥛+🐟 😂
My mother in law ate coffee grounds when she was pregnant with my husband. To this day, he will not drink coffee.
My only craving was with my 3rd child and it was M&M’s mixed with Reese’s pieces and a Pepsi.
