I don’t watch running or anything so I don’t know who this runner is. But from the comments he appears to be some incredibly talented nation champion runner. Why was he struggling so much in this race?
Because he's national champion at 5km races, but with this being a 10km race he's had to push his physical limits and just completely exhausted himself. Amazing too see him not give up.
The differences in training and muscle development needed to do 100-200m sprinting, 400-5000km running, and 10k+ are vastly different and you can't train to be the best at all or even two of three, ever, basically
I assume that other people interfering would ruin not only their run but also his. If the runners had given too much assistance they may have both been disqualified.

He said that they got out really fast that day, faster than usual
I don’t watch running or anything so I don’t know who this runner is. But from the comments he appears to be some incredibly talented nation champion runner. Why was he struggling so much in this race?
Because he's national champion at 5km races, but with this being a 10km race he's had to push his physical limits and just completely exhausted himself. Amazing too see him not give up.
The differences in training and muscle development needed to do 100-200m sprinting, 400-5000km running, and 10k+ are vastly different and you can't train to be the best at all or even two of three, ever, basically
In just those last few yards he must have been passed by 30 others, tremendous commitment
Hats off to the “ONE” runner at 1:00 who stopped to help
I saw that, that guy was a real class act.
Dumb guy sabotaging his own run
I assume that other people interfering would ruin not only their run but also his. If the runners had given too much assistance they may have both been disqualified.
In these situations you aren’t supposed to help
blood sweat and tears, he made it to the finish line. I'm proud of him.
He had heart for sure. Big props my man.
The one guy checking on him, trying to help ♥️
Bro this is how I walk home at 3 am drunk. Massive respect to this guy.
I used to be a cross country runner and have done a few half marathons, and sometimes your legs just give out…I would crawl too. Great finish!
That wasn't tough to see. I have no pity for him. To the contrary. I hope to have even a fraction of his determination and spirit that transcends human physical limits.
And I hope you don't have a heart attack trying to copy him
Wtf is wrong with u crazy
@@nightfighter7452 I think it’s a compliment.
@@toxiccat6337 literally a compliment learn how to read

The heart of a champion
Am happy to see that no one helped him. Finishing a race with your own two feet is everything to a runner.
These races aint no joke boyy… The mentality you have to be in to keep going is unexplainable in words.
I've been in this EXACT situation.... your mind and your body are in two different places... and you have no control over either... onsite personnel are also taking a risk because his over heating body could lead to cardiac arrest..
exactly if u go through muscle failure just stop wtf. His body is shutting down to save itself but he tryna kill himself
@@poqe6137 Nah, if you've got that competitive fire then you're going to fight through something like that.
A human with capacity as a right to refuse treatment/aid.
@@Alexander_Grant Then he should've prepared better for the race. Do not hurt your bodies long term health all for a finish. I agree push through pain all day. If you go through muscle failure stay down. You are risking permanent damage. It is not worth it. I never ran cross country but I did play football I remember when I got a concussion, I thought I was fine but trainer kept me out. Later on Doc said if I would've went back in I would've caused threatening damage. You gotta know when to control your emotions and dial it back if your body is like "bro ima die if u dont stop deadass" like cmon now
@@poqe6137 wait your body knew it's ass would die? I thought you hurt your head.
Respect for the runner in the red ✊
Meh, he doesn't know the rules, he's gonna make him disqualified if he ever carry him but good thing someone shoo him away.
Someone failed him in training for this one but the kid is a SAVAGE for working the pain and finishing what he started.
