Guy Fawkes I’m a long term Devo fan and saw them in 1979. Changed my life. And you are correct. My friends and I were just discussing this last week.... I’m looking forward to going forward/back to 1981
Same here. Heard of them first through the wonders of Creem Magazine back in late 78 or 79. Amazing band who unfairly get pigeonholed as a "one hit wonder".
Alan's drums on this are incredible. It's not the most ornate or complex beat he played with Devo, but it makes the song.
horseytown there's a drum cover of wiggly world on UA-cam. The guy nails it. I have never seen a song with such a weird style. Must see.
John Bonham said his favorite drummer was Alan.
I rest my case your honor
@@flavioegoavilverastegui8675 his timing is amazing man.. no matter

Pioneers way ahead of their time... and they had awesome guitar driven riffs and hooks.. especially so in their earlier years...
Brian K Guitar fact
"Devo is in there solid... their solid state... the way of today"
Their best album
they're the very best live. if you don't know about DEVO....you gotta listen to em live
Alone at home with my cassette player. Their music scared me. Oh, so so good.
Duty now! Thank you for your service, General Boy! It's a wiggly world.
How awesome is it they put their dad in this?
I had just graduated high school and hated, Hated, HATED disco. This sure wasn't freaking disco! I immediately became a DEVOtee!
awesome band!!
Prophetic buncha dude DEVO were!
rip General Boy
Tasty drums here...
How many other folks came here in 2024 because of Brownian movement, the big bang and Alan Watts?
Great video…thanks for posting!
Go look at the news. Go listen to some current music. Go watch a current movie. Now tell me that Devo wasn't exactly right about De-evolution?

Guy Fawkes so damned true!!

That's...fantastic.
The band formed immediately after the Kent State University shootings/murders. 1972.
Khultan The KSU shootings were in 1970.
My mistake but that event changed Gerald from a hippie kid to form DEVO.
Khultan You are the first person in the entire history of UA-cam to admit to making a mistake! Most people just make mean comments!
Uhh...thank you.
Its never straight up and down
Amazing how people still _don't get physics_ !
I'd like to get to know you but I haven't got the time!
I think general boy is Mark's dad.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeYep.
I thought he was Bob 1’s dad
Nah, he’s clearly Jim’s dad.
I guess fixation of voltaile helped them move from wiggly to solid state :p
I agree the drums make the musax.
Straight up punk rock. Bunch of spud boys looking for that real tomato 🍅
Protect yourself. KnickKnack.Today i sold my "Heavy Metal Soundtrack" ...working on a colmine".Hehe. GENERAL BOY yeah yeah yeah!?
Are We Not Men?
Josh Johnson A: We are DEVO
I can do this!!!
This song is about the rise of obesity right?
