There are a lot of Pickleball paddle pods, but this is fast becoming the best. I love that you cover: 1. smaller brand paddles that others don't cover 2. get a wide set of player views (amateurs) on the paddles. 3. Cut the paddles so you can see whats going on. 4. Cover things others don't like handle quality. I'd love to see you start creating a database on your reviews for quick reference. Going forward, I'd love to see more emphasis on sweet spot. I think sweet spot is a very underrated part of the paddle value. A high percentage of my losing shots come because I'm hitting the ball near the edge of the paddle. What's the point in having a power paddle but you only get the power if its hit in a small region of the paddle. Great job guys! Huge fan.
Another great content and podcast gentlemen, the Pegasus and Monarch AC are the same paddles is just the name Monarch is being renamed to the Pegasus due to the Monarch name has been taken already
Vatic paddles are my mains for tournaments and competitive play. The Saga plays awesome. I weight all my VP paddles to about 8.8oz. turns them into hammers.
Flow prime x best budget allcourt leaning power hybrid paddle. Bought one for a friend and it hard while being able to play a soft game without issues.
I think the 11six24 Vapors will be $160 or $170 from what I’ve heard. They’re shooting themselves in the foot if they become another brand in the $160-$200 range.
The Vapor is the hybrid shape, Pegasus is the widebody, and Hurache-X is elongated. The price ranges will depend on what classification (control/jellybean, all court, or power). Jellybeans will stay at $99, All Courts will be $149, and Power will be $169. Hope this helps!
Good thing I got my Pulse V... breaking it in and hoping it turns into a semi rocket... I've read some people say they heat up to a baby version of a modta 15 but one that actually has control. I am fairly new to pb so I am fine with the control and a little power boost
We have some time! It's not until Feb. 7th. David wants to make sure everyone has time to thoroughly test durability to have complete reviews at the time of release.
Quick thought - if you are player that tends to spin their paddle in between points without consciously thinking about it, I would say you use each side of the paddle for roughly the same amount of time/play. If this same player then gets an Ethos grip which will cue them in to which side should always be striking the ball, the wear and tear on one side of the paddle would likely be much more pronounced than the other side. I would then think you could shorten the life of your paddle by more quickly wearing down the grit/texture on the one side… a potential remedy for this would be to rotate the ethos grip 180 degrees on a set schedule such as when you put on a new overgrip. Is the grooved feel of this ethos grip worth the task of rotating the grip at regular time points to ensure approximately equal wear and tear to both sides of the paddle? I enjoy the Hesacore but do agree that the honey comb pattern can feel somewhat random and not always intuitive. Personally, I would love to see Ethos put out a righty and lefty version of this grip. I wanted to get your take as I have not personally used this Ethos grip but am intrigued. Thanks for your great pod, it fills a really key segment of the PB UA-cam offerings!
Cut up Pickleball Apes Pulse series and take a look at those carbon strips around the foam. (That is supposed to stabilize the form) That should be interesting.
@user9b2 We actually did that in our first epidose.. they are actually tubule that encapsulate the foam! ua-cam.com/video/1ogpy-PFdiA/v-deo.htmlsi=0Jp5SuwpAlQEhDnm
@@PickleballMedicine thanks. At 19:55 of the other video ua-cam.com/video/1ogpy-PFdiA/v-deo.htmlsi=fo5rYuCMYVcx5DN7), you were referring to the break of the carbon channels (in the pulse V), they look very similar to the vertical breaks you saw in the gearbox hyper - except gearbox chose to provide stress relief in a control manner???
Great episode. I am currently using a paddletek Tko- C 12.7 and actually love it. It’s towards the end of its life and I’m gonna be getting another paddle and was gonna try the tkoCX a 12.7 as well, but the chorus fire EX is very intriguing. What are your thoughts in comparison?
@@Carpe.Dinkem Ur good bro! I think there are apps out there that... really help with podcast with the AI editing tools but I am not too familiar with it. My friend uses it...
Thanks for cutting open the HYPER. So it's NOT a true SST core then. No carbon fiber "tubes" Polarised lenses distort too much IMO. The R/L angle on the ETHOS is a problem. Would make using the same side of the paddle depending on being R or L handed. HESACORE knock offs from TEMU are a fraction of the cost. Also a big fan of the SAGA. FLASH.
Would like to know your thoughts on the J2ti vs Vatic Saga Flash I know they’re kinda in different categories but I was wondering what key differences or thoughts you had on one over the other. Does the saga have the same level of pop? Does the j2ti keep up with the power since its thermoformed?
@@PickleballMedicine well damn haha, I had checked on the monarch over the last month and the previous one and saw nothing. I see you've taken care of it within the last little bit. I will put my foot back in my mouth.
No problem at all, my friend.. I am totally fine with being held accountable, and if things slip through the cracks, I appreciate people like you who are willing to point those things out to me! 🫡
I am giggling so hard about the guy in the community review who said that paddle was the worst thing he’s ever held in his hand! That’s just about the worst criticism anything could ever receive😂
I want the 11six24 Vapor All Court, but I hope it has a little less power than the Monarch All Court does. I love the Monarch AC, but it has too much power.

Sweet Dustin can you take apart a ripple beta vs production model to see how they’re different
Love the community review segment!
Thank you. I love Hudef VIVA PRO GEN 3 too.😍😍
Ya need to make better kevlar dace that has longer life
I would love to see 247 Mystic in action! Really interested in the 3-layer Kelvar construction/feel

Yes! I use it for singles and doubles currently. Used to have separate paddles for that
HUDEF Viva Pro Gen3 is my currently paddle. Good quality and lifetime warranty.
Again loved the community review the most.
Love the dissections, Keep up the great pods guys!!
Another great podcast! My favorite segments are the paddle dissection and the rec player paddle reviews.

The community review is insightful. I love the explanations the players have for why they like/dislike different paddles.
HUDEF Viva Pro Gen3 is a solid paddle. I love it. I also recently bought a HUDEF Newera Luxury Gen1.
Love the dissection guys!
Milwaukee all the way!
There we go! 💪
Great podcast. A lot of new paddles.
Gotta put the Honolulu J2H. It’s a more forgiving Black Diamond IMO.
Dustin's shogun sauce face was a classic.

Id like to see a comparison of the invader vs the j2ti and k.

Is Kiwi close to making the list?
I follow Pickleball Medicine. What’s the tag to follow to look for paddle giveaways?… I don’t think it was mentioned 🤔
Another great podcast. Audio needs to be polished up.

Sure thing, the PBMED code should work now (:
I agree with the grip comment…ya create a non standard grip no reason to play with the paddle. Great shoutout for the Neonic Force….may it be with u👍🤜
Dustin, if you get Ivan to stop the Pulse from breaking in, you become the weasel. 😉
Awesome podcast. Does Ethos hesacore come in different sizes?
I have been contacted by Amp’d and they are looking at redesigning the handle. Hopefully we can revisit the paddle and review that when it comes out!
12:10-12:19 is a dead spot? either way nice podder

Fair! I appreciated the feedback, we are trying to get better every time (:
Does the Versix Vector have more power than the Hudef viva pro gen 2 paddle ?
I would give a slight edge to the Viva Gen 3, personally.

Don't blame the paddle
I just sent you a DM on Instagram showing how to get rid of the tearout with your Jigsaw (settings and blade type). thanks
