You're on the nail when mentioning that escapism is far too accessible, especially for young people. But something I think should be mentioned is the comfort in a complacent lifestyle. Fear drives a lot of people.. I can attest to that. I've found myself getting more comfortable with failure but at the end of the day at least I TRIED. We should be telling people that failure will not hurt them, it won't push them back, it won't delay them, as long as they recognize that every single moment is a new one. I'm learning to move up in my life and learn about people around me.. and I've recognized my admittedly easily fixable shortcomings. I, and many others really don't have much stopping me from doing what I really want to. It's just the fear the holds you back.
