- Will an Engineer aka Space Jockey appear in the upcoming Alien Romulus ???
Originally, the origin and purpose behind the Space Jockeys was left mysterious for a period of 33 years between the first Alien movie in 1979 up until 2012. During this time, a lot of extended media, mainly comicbooks and novelisations, would attempt to open up and expand upon the Space Jockeys themselves.
This was, until the previous two Alien movies, namely Prometheus, dove into their backstory, and revealed them to have a distinctly Humanoid-form, rather than how they were perceived before, as being a biomechanical species as the Jockey in the Derelict looked like, half organic, half machine; but this was instead revealed to be a suit the actual creature was inside, rather than being it’s actual body.
Also, they were given an official name of “Engineers”, replacing the previous unofficial title, “Space Jockeys”.
So, how could an Engineer be included in Alien Romulus, and would it make sense for them to do so?
Well, not much info about the new movie has been unveiled as of making this video, but if we take a look at the Alien Romulus page on the Xenopedia wiki, under Plot, it reads:
'The film, an original standalone feature based on the original sci-fi horror movie released in 1979, will follow a group of young people on a distant world, who find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
Romulus takes place in 2142; between the events of Alien and Aliens. Most of the film takes place on the space station Renaissance. Many of the characters are siblings, whether it be through blood, or as surrogate siblings.
Romulus takes place in the 'era' of the first film. This is represented on-screen with the technology present being the same (or at least similar) to that in Alien, whereas the technology seen in Aliens is on the cusp of being developed. The film is designed to be accessible to those who have not watched any prior Alien films. Its level of connectivity to said films has differed between sources. According to Collider, Romulus will have no connection to any previous Alien film or the Alien TV series. According to Alvarez himself however, connections to the other films aren't ignored, specifically mentioning Alien and Alien: Covenant.
So, going by the articles and interviews this page is referencing, it seems the new movie will have some connection to the previous films, only loosely, but not outright ignoring them, so it would seem they aren’t entirely retconning the two prequel movies. But with it being set after Prometheus, Covenant, and Alien, it may reference them, but obviously not anything from Aliens or onwards, or Alien vs Predator.
Also seeing as this text says it “mostly” takes place on the space station “Renaissance” and not entirely, then could that mean perhaps that maybe could the Covenant be found by the crew members of the Renaissance, perhaps if they detect it and then maybe dock with, and board it, could that maybe lead them to discovering David’s experiments and how he creates the Xenomorphs, and then that leading them to the Engineers somehow?
If you saw Alien Covenant, then you may be thinking, “ hey, wait a minute.. I thought David dropped the Black Goo on the Engineers, and wiped them out. How could they still exist in Alien Romulus if it’s set after Alien Covenant?”
Well, it is said that the inhabitants of the planet in Covenant aren’t actually Engineeers, but rather, another race created by them, just like Humans, as evidenced by their differing appearance to the Engineers from Prometheus. The beings in Covenant look more like half-way between Humans and Engineers, rather than actual engineers, as well as their civilisation looking no where near that of even Humans, let alone Engineers, except for the docking module, but that doesn’t match the surrounding structures, so could easily just be some technology left behind by the Engineers. Also, if you look at the way they react to the Engineer ship, its as if it is out of the ordinary, and like they are excited because they think the Engineers are returning, who they likely worship, kinda like in AVP when the ancient Antarcticans worshipped the Predators.
So, a little bit more on the Engineers themselves:

My Personal Theory is that the Scientists on the Space Station did found the Original Corpse of the Big Chap from Alien and did then broke the dna down to make Research on the New Facehuggers by useing some of Davids research that he left on Planet 4. They could also show some other Things in the Movie maybe Urns that the WY Team found when they searched for the Xenomorph, i personally would love some Small Easter Eggs like Urns of the Pathogen or a Dead Hammerpede on a Operation Table in a Lab, showing that David is no longer here but inspired the Weyland Yutani Corparation to go and look out for the Perfect Lifeform
Wouldn't it be simpler and make more sense that the scientists simply extract existing eggs from the silo/cargo hold?
It would be ridiculous to borrow bits and pieces from other alien universe films and try to give an already worried and let down audience an "ah-ha" moment for something that failed miserably with Prometheus and Covenant.
Romulus should be a soft reboot, back to the original roots continuation A1 A2.. throwing all other films out.. especially Prometheus and Covenant and anything to do with Gayvid or the bald white bodybuilders.. really corny. If for some stupid reason Romulus does include that junk.. I'd expect the full cast of Ancient Aliens to play the scientists on the station.. hell, that might even be good
They find the Alien floating around in the vastness of space but it takes 57 years to find Ripley in an actual emergency escape ship. 🤔
I really hope they thought it out better than that.

The engineers are the main characters in the movie and comes to the planet that was in the Prometheus movie.
There they find Weyland inside the crashed spaceship. They have a blue elixir(which both heals and gives eternal life) which they empty all over him and bring him to life.
But while doing this the Deacon from the Prometheus movie sneaks into their spaceship and hide it self in one of the ventilation chambers.
In the next part they arrive at the planet from alien covenant and find the other robot(Walter) who is david's twin.The engineers use the blue elixir and repairs him.
Once awaken the engineers and Weyland get to know all the horrible things that David has done, and weyland says "we have to stop David" .
They set course for origae. When they arrive,they scans all the planet,and finds the planet is full of hostile organisms except
on a high mountain where they discover that there are humans inside a cave.
Inside the cave they meet a herd of children, who tell that when they had lived on the planet for over ten years,
they began to be attacked by Xenomorphs and all the adults died or were turned into these creatures.
There were also great giants developed by someone the children calls David.
The engineers get ready to wipe out all the Xenomorphs that David has created, but the great giants manage to escape with one of the engineers' spaceships.
The engineers and Weyland hunts the spaceship and manage to force the spaceship down on the planet lv426.Where it start sending a distress signal.
The engineers return to Origae to find David, but discover that he has escaped.
In the last part we see David arriving and meeting an unknown alien species
on a tropical like planet.
At the same time Nostromo leaves a nearby planet with the cargo of ore.
But when he and the unknown aliens have left the spaceship,the deacon slips out of the ship and is seen running toward the nearest settlement.
And that makes the cliffhanger that ends the third movie.
The ending movie could have a duration about five hours ?

The trailer seems to show almost the same as what happens on Sevastapol station with Amanda Ripley in Alien Isolation. The game and this movie takes place almost at the same timeline so perhaps this movie is really an adaptation from the game itself ? In both scenarios Ellen Ripley should be still floating out there in deep space in hibernation in the Narcissus escape craft.
The space jokey turning out to be a tall man was so disappointing to me. The whole mystery around him and the derelict was such a fascinating part of the Alien universe. Why was he carrying the eggs? What/who was he? Where was he from and where was he heading? How long ago did he crash? How did Wayland know about his existence? All these questions fleshed out the story and made the xenomorph more than just a 2d movie monster.
To end the ridiculous references to the Elephant Guys from the Alien Comic books I would point to Giger's original concept art of the first movie. It shows a mural of the Alien being attacked by the facehugger. It also shows the Space Jockey under the helmet of the suit it wears with the hose tube extension from it. The Space Jockey is the same as the one depicted in Prometheus. The Concept art was not available right after the film was released because of copyright issues. The Comic got it wrong and it was not considered Canon along with a lot of other spinoffs made at the time. Alien was a surprise big hit and the Studio wasn't expecting it to be as successful as it turned out. They held on to the rights and kept everything in house until years later. Some of the publications were sued for using the Alien material without permission. Check it out.

Considering how displeased the vast majority of fans were about their representation in Prometheus and Covenant I’d say it’s extremely unlikely. They’ll probably want to steer clear of them altogether until they can figure out their own lore. Also I find it hilarious how Ridley backpedaled due to redesign backlash and immediately labeled them as a “differing subspecies”. Just like the elites in halo 4 and 5.

The concept for the first film was more like an elephant that had evolved before a monkey did , they were much larger than a human maybe even like a dinosaur. The chair is just there alian technology, the ship had been there for 40 million years ,that is why they are petrified, the eggs are emortal . All the writing for prequel is altered script , it's vary interesting but violates the original story concept

My idea for an alien tv-series is as follows: It takes places just before the events in the first alien movie and happens on a planet near where the nostromo spaceship
is shipping ore.Weyland-Yutani is on the planet and have terraformed it for years,when they discovers a cave with lots of xenomorph eggs.
One of them get's infected and a xenomorph is born. It turns out to be a queen,and a lot of the Weyland-Yutani humans are infected and then
a war breaks out.All the humans on the planet are wiped out and only a few manage to escape in a spaceship.Then they nuke the planet from orbit.
Then Weyland-Yutani regrets the decision and a hunt for the xenomorph begins.They get a tip that there's a crashed spaceship on lv426 and sends
the robot Ash on the Nostromo spaceship.But they are informed that the mission has failed and that Nostromo has gone missing.Then Weyland-Yutani get's
a tip about an xenomorph on Fiorina161 and sends a team of researchers there.They finds a surviving prisoner that is impreagnated and a queen is born.
Weyland-Yutani then wants to use the xenomorphs on the planets where the engineers are located because they want the technology to seed planets with life.
They also want the elixir that provides humans with prolongued life.After they have managed to give birth to a flock of xenomorphs,they drops them

population out,pursue them and manages to get the elixir back,but gets trapped on the planet where both parties

for thousands of years,but they are now trapped on the planet,with no means to get anywhere.But then
they see a light aproaching,but is the spaceship friends or foes ?
No but there will be one that is set 3 decades before the 1979 original film that was announced a few months ago
nice but you have to remember that you are to enter the airspace of a superior race who have unimaginable air defence and radar adding the foreign ship nature they will be vapourised before saying proceed ! 2. the derelict should stay in the lane of mystery but show us the event which led to the chest burst on the jockey tapping into the decision of why they decided to kill off humans but at a small pace as this is the reason why riddley always backs off due to chaos so 1 mystery at a time what u think i wanna see a fully grown engineer xeno :)
Why do you assume the engineer is related to the space jockey ? My understanding is that the movie will not try to combine the two as in the prequels since that has upset so many Alien fans. If Scott or the director does it again that will end the franchise for good as far as the fans are concerned and only a very small minority will bother watching it.
They ruined the original concept of the Space Jockey. An ancient skeleton with bones bent outward was a far better idea and the size is way off when comparing the original to the shite Promethious version.

If you compare them side by side the Jockey has it's mouth open and a tongue is visible under the 'trunk', Ridley Twott forced the retcon to fit his garbage script.

only thing that can give a fresh spark in this movie is engineers , i hope in the end of the movie to have a link between alien and engineers as it should be and not in a way like prometheus, the cast is weak the scenario sounds mediocre at best, i mean picking things like replay persona and pulse rifle from aliens then big chap from alien 1 and black goo from prometheus is not the best to have in a movie of 2 hours, i predict the same mistake to happen again, 2 many things to explain at little time with weak characters .
Space Jockey is an Engineer alien, end of story, Prometheus and Alien Covenant are cannon since in Romulus WY looking to synthesise the black pathogen

Prometheus was an adult movie just like the original Alien. The problem is today's audience are lazy and don't want to use their brain while watching a movie. Things like it was to long or it was confusing didn't happen back in the day. Video Games have dumbed down the audience and everyone has an opinion about what is good or bad and a forum to express their ideas. Prometheus wasn't made for that group because we oldheads can handle more complicated stuff.
