  • TYM T474 tractor first oil and filter change. I found an aftermarket oilfilter that works and refilled using Rotella Synthetic T6 5w40 for winter use.
    Tractor: 2019 TYM T474 with a Kukje A2300N2 engine
Filer used: NAPA 1626 (Wix 51626)
    Oil: 4.175l Rotella T6 5w40

Thank You, I'll be producing more material related to maintenance as it comes up. Tony's Tractor adventure sounds like he will do the same as he does service to the different models he got disposable at his arsenal.

What engine oil do you recommend (since I can't find it in owners manual on line) for summer time? Also did I hear it takes a little over 5 quarts total? Thanks for this video.

Any diesel spec 15w40 will work for the snowbelt and south, in the winter in the snowbelt I use Rotella T6 5w40 because of our extreme cold winters. But Rotella T4 15w40, Delvac 15w40, Mobil 15w40. If it says heavy duty diesel oil in this weight it should work. If you get a gallon can, there will be a little smidge left by the time you have reached to the "F" mark on the dipstick. Fill the filter when putting it on and give 4 qts, start the engine and let it run for 5 minutes and check levels 5 minutes later. It might need a wee bit more, but never beyond a full US gallon.

Ok thank you, I have some Valvoline Premium Blue Diesel engine oil 15W-40 that I keep for my Cummins 6.7 Dodge I'll use that. @@Re-Booter

Great video...thank you. Question, did the napa filer 1626 work? I have the exact same tractor and am running into difficulty finding the kukje filter. I have a napa store near me and they have a Tom of those in. Thanks again...look forward to your reply.

Yes, I've had it on for 180h now and coming up to change it at 300h on my tractor now. Wix 51626 works just the same as they make the NAPA Gold FIL1626 filters.

Thank you so much for that. I'm at 150, but was wanting to change it as it's been a year since I did the initial change at 50 hours. You have been more helpful than my nearest dealer...again greatly appreciated.

@@patheidi8255 No problem, this is why I made this channel to help the growing numbers of TYM owners, since most of the videos I make are the 1st one on some of these subjects.
