    Good video. I did have a couple of points of deviation after doing the procedure on my brand new 3515CH tracto using the oem 4 port rear remote like you used here. My tractor is a cab model and clearances are much tighter for the back most stud. The studs had to be inserted thorugh all 3 bodies before the studs could be started and tightend down. Just not enough clearance to get those bodies on over the stud if they were tighted in before hand. On my tractor, the short threaded end had to be down into the tractor itself. If the long throad was started, (and I did originally, there was not enough exposed thread to tighten the final assembly down. Could not use the 2 nut method to tighten, again because all three bodies had to be on the stud which left too little thread, and not enough clearance to start the nuts, especially on the rear most stud. The final assembly does have maybe 1/4 inch clearance between the back most stud and the fuel tank. If vibration with use becomes an issue, I could glue a peice of sheet metal to the underside of the fuel tank above the stud. Good video, and I used the info for my install. Really not that bad of a job Thank you

    My T474 has red coolant in it from the factory. Have you had any problems with replacing it with normal green coolant?

    • @tractortyme
      @tractortyme 7 місяців тому

      At one point TYM changed to universal coolant type red, mine came with the good old fashion green coolant. If you desire to flush it out, you can obviously. I would put distilled water in and drain 2 or 3x times with heater controls to hot and let it warm up each time. Then drain as much as you can again and fill with mixed green coolant and distilled water. But bottom line, you really don't need to replace the red coolant until you've hit 500h or 3 years.

      Any diesel spec 15w40 will work for the snowbelt and south, in the winter in the snowbelt I use Rotella T6 5w40 because of our extreme cold winters. But Rotella T4 15w40, Delvac 15w40, Mobil 15w40. If it says heavy duty diesel oil in this weight it should work. If you get a gallon can, there will be a little smidge left by the time you have reached to the "F" mark on the dipstick. Fill the filter when putting it on and give 4 qts, start the engine and let it run for 5 minutes and check levels 5 minutes later. It might need a wee bit more, but never beyond a full US gallon.

    Do you strictly do your yard with a blade? I own the TYM 474, and a 1/4 mile driveway and only have the snow blower, but alway's wandered about the plow attachment. Excellent work. Excellent Video. What's the black box on the left side for?

      Hi! Yvon, I do plow only the ranch we live on yes, it is six houses on 30 acres. The plow is nice for the early snow when winter is just playin with ya leaving lots of gravel, slush and snow mixed. Truth be told I use the plow more than the snowblower, because the snowblower is meant for Buffalo, NY kind of conditions. And we haven't had anything over six inches at a time since I bought the tractor, it is called the "snow curse" when you are prepared. The box on the left is a toolbox from ITC Quickattach, there is a video on my channel about it.

    I have enough places to loose tools without hiding them in the loader!

    Hey there. Was wondering if I can get your thoughts. I have the option of getting a kubota lx3310 (33hp turbo) which has a mid mount pto so a front snowblower can be fitted to it, or a more powerful tractor the kubota mx5400 (54hp turbo) but there is no mid pto so I would have to use inverted. Which setup do you think would be better for tackling snow?

    Great video...thank you. Question, did the napa filer 1626 work? I have the exact same tractor and am running into difficulty finding the kukje filter. I have a napa store near me and they have a Tom of those in. Thanks again...look forward to your reply.

      Yes, I've had it on for 180h now and coming up to change it at 300h on my tractor now. Wix 51626 works just the same as they make the NAPA Gold FIL1626 filters.

      Thank you so much for that. I'm at 150, but was wanting to change it as it's been a year since I did the initial change at 50 hours. You have been more helpful than my nearest dealer...again greatly appreciated.

      @@patheidi8255 No problem, this is why I made this channel to help the growing numbers of TYM owners, since most of the videos I make are the 1st one on some of these subjects.

    How did you decide to get the mk martin? I cant decide what brand to go with. Do you have any complaints with the mk martin blower? Thank you

      @@tractortyme Great to hear. Im looking to go with mk martin because its a little cheaper and seems to be just as good as pronovost and normand. Cant really tell any major differences.

    It didn't sound like the PTO was running very fast. Is it 540 rpm like a snowblower?

    • @tractortyme
      @tractortyme Рік тому

      No, you really don't need to run these at PTO speed, that will be too fast. PTO speed on this is 2400rpm, I was at 1400.....you can adjust the PTO speed to your liking off course. But I like to take it low and slow on these things.
