My suggestion would be to add larger tires to all 4 corners, then change the rear portal gears on the portals to allow for more torque and to keep similar ratios.
В России такие дано делают. Не часто, для соревнований. Так же Есть УАЗ в заводском варианте. Но у них интересный вариант с цепями. Так можно поднимать клиренс очень высоко!)))
Change the sprockets for more torque/bigger wheels. then box weld the drop brackets and fill halfway with oil so the chains/sprockets hold upp in the long run👌
@@shanepowers7566This is my second one as well. My 1st was an '84. This one was my daily driver until the trans died. Trying to save up to have it rebuilt or replaced.
You should try one of your homemade successful offroad tire designs. With lift, welded diff and some hard core tires you could test it against some stock 4x4 suv. If it can beet 4x4 with two wheels it's 107%.
ok lets keep it simple put a cover over the sprockets run brake lines down to the rear tires and then take it down the highway to get the reaction of the people
@@MyKonaRCwell no, portals were designed to solve that exact problem. But axles with portals are expensive and if you’re running portals you’re probably doing some serious shit so you’re not gonna want some cheap side by side level shit. Cop some rockwells and hit the rocks!
@@michaelcoulton883i dont know how it is in rest of the world but in slovakia, even an Audi Allroad with airsuspension is not a guilt. In a technical documentation of the car where is VIN, date of manufacture type of the vehicle etc. etc. Is also stated your tire measurements which tire you are allowed to mount on the vehicle. You can rise a ground clearance by 2-3cm which allows you to use larger tire e.g 19 or 20inch 255/35/R20 but in that documentation is only R16 195/65/ R16 or 265/35/R18 for summer usage. And now what... that was only an example, every vehicle has its own documentation with exact tires you are allowed to use, BECAUSE when you compare xxx/ 65 / R16 and xxx / 35 / R18 they have almost the same crossection lenght so the speed of your vehicle on the dashboard matching almost the same. When you equip your car with R20 tires and you use xxx/ 30 / R20 this tire is by few centimeters larger thus, when you have 50kmh on the dashboard in reallity you go 3-5kmh faster and that is against law in slovakia.
If you plan on going crazy with it add tensions to the rear chain setups. Set it up like a timing chain and add cv axles and long chains to the front wheels. The rear axle is driving all 4 wheels
I think they have never read any of these comments so i will never leave ''do this idea please'' comment again. It's just a waste of ideas and typing time.
No offense, but you really should be impressed with their ingenuity and resourcefulness more. From an engineering standpoint, most of what they design would flunk you out of drafting class for the various flaws they don't address. I get it for a quick youtube video, but please don't think of this as "top tier engineering."
Wow fu$kgoogle52… you do realize, that this is a group of young guys in a back alley garage, in Russia no doubt… I admit some of their stuff has been pretty lame as of late… but I’m pretty impressed with this build.
I've wanted a Russian car (any brand) for a long time now, but literally every Russian person I've talked to about it asks "why the hell would you want one?" Haha I always tell them because they are whimsical and unusual, plus I like the boxiness. Haha
The Lada (original models) were based off the late 1960s Fiat 124 sedan, an Italian design, but Russian cars are cool regardless as they last forever. :) Japanese cars are my favorite though, as they combine modern features with longevity, a best of both worlds.
@@thatguyalex2835 Ohh yes I'm very aware of the various Russian car designs being based off other Western car designs. I find it fascinating. My favorite is old German cars. I drove a 1982 BMW 5 series for 11 years. It was really reliable, yet had a lot of technology for it's age. It had approximately 622,00 KM (387,000 miles) miles when I sold it 4 years ago. It had that boxy look with 4 head lights that I love.
I'm surprised he didn't do a burnout. That was such a simple elegant modification though, one of the best I think. Just knew they were going witht he chain drive!
My suggestion would be to add larger tires to all 4 corners, then change the rear portal gears on the portals to allow for more torque and to keep similar ratios.
i agree :)
I'd also recommend they find some way to box weld those drop brackets closed. We won't see anything, but they could realllllllly lay into it then.
monster truck lada?
33x12.5 15
Look how the Mercedes Unimogs Axels (specially the older ones like Unimog 404 and Unimog 406, the simplicity) are made and there you go.
the lada need big wheels now
Yes 😀
37 inch mudders lol
Or a donk lada
Big wheels and gear reduction in the portal! And tyre chains!
Yeah like why didn't they put some all terrains on it lol.. That would've been awesome
My suggestion is same solution on Lada Niva...
This would solve 4x4 problem and create a real off road monster ;)
В России такие дано делают. Не часто, для соревнований. Так же Есть УАЗ в заводском варианте. Но у них интересный вариант с цепями. Так можно поднимать клиренс очень высоко!)))
Normally portals are meant to fit inside the wheels. Making them this way puts huge strain on the factory components.
Make a LADA NIVA 4x4 with a high geared lift kit for rock crawling and (4 tractor front wheels) some big wheels.
Love your videos. 👍
Change the sprockets for more torque/bigger wheels. then box weld the drop brackets and fill halfway with oil so the chains/sprockets hold upp in the long run👌
You guys are amazing. How about putting tractor wheels on? How cool would that be then driving through town. Looks cool😀
Ever since I was like 9, I always wondered if something like this was possible to lift a truck. This is really awesome! lol
Cool story bro
I love it! I've thought about trying something like this with my 1986 AMC Eagle wagon. LOL
I love them. I’ve had 2 of them, so far.
@@shanepowers7566This is my second one as well. My 1st was an '84. This one was my daily driver until the trans died. Trying to save up to have it rebuilt or replaced.
Forest and a tractor trail. Bigger tires also could help, and chains to back? Cool stuff.

You guys are having WAY too much fun!!!!
I really hope the next step will be bigger tires.... and of course changing the top sprocket to a much smaller one to increase wheel torque
Good Idea. Need to make a monster Lada similar to a monster truck. 😊🎉🎉 keep it up 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤ you guys are awesome 👌 👏
That was surprisingly stable!
Now make it go up and down on demand so cool!!!!
You should add a second drive wheel in the back. That would be sick!
Put a big offroad Wheel set 💪 then go e erywhere.. brilliant you guys are the Real entertainment.
Lada Niva has 4wheel drive Hi, Lo and locking diffs. that with some good tires shuld do anything with that lift lit. eaven tip over ;)
It'slike them dock crane things that lift containers, but even more ridiculous looking... :P
Notification squad Have a nice weekend!🔥🔥🔥
Great idea!
4x4 with a gear driven portal next!?
4x4 old niva would do the job well
he didnt beat the gas pedal. He FACKED UP-should have put huge mudder tires and wheels on it.
How dose the lift effect breaking heavily and fast acceleration? Big wheels would break the lift I think
This one looks like it was a lot of fun!
Do a Lada with 2 wheel center drive using a homemade gyroschope..
Different size tires on each corner with different gear ratios!
Big mud tires and drive it through a bog...Florida Man would approve!
Love this the only thing that could make it better is AWD and big wheels and tires. I am trying to justify a lifted Lada in my life now 🤔
This definitely needs a second video with more grippy tires. It doesn't even need to be big. Do
Just needs a big pile of snow and then climb on top of it ;)
Do burnouts, jump it, har accelerations and hard breaking should test it's durability!
You guys should cut a front wheel drive lada in half and a rear wheel drive lada in half and then weld them back tougher amd me them both work
Throw some tractor tires on there for a Lada monster-truck!
ok lets keep it simple put a cover over the sprockets run brake lines down to the rear tires and then take it down the highway to get the reaction of the people
Please, can you get a lada with the wankel engine and tune it? That would be 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Make it four-wheel drive next, then it will be unstoppable!
Now make your own 4wd system on this lada and put tractor tires on it and test it then properly :P
Takaya izyashchnaya ideya otlichno podoydet dlya rayonov s vysokim urovnem snega. Snegokhod Lada.
Its like a crossout buildup 😂
I love this channel
Can it do a whellie with a counterweight in the back?
Bigger wheels and a stream/river !
Closest thing to a lada on hydraulics 😭
Ou should schedule it for new tires and an alignment. See what the shop says.
It would be interesting how it would go at your test track, when turning at speed would it roll over.
In a streem or lake !
You guys are awesome!
this would be something i see in the usa
Same thing with a niva but with gear reduction and some 35
That's awesome ! Put bigger wheels 😀😍💪🏾
Make a an electric clutch for Lada that can be operated with a button and not a pedal
Make it a two motor all wheel drive offroad lada
you should lift it way higher like 5 meters or something silly so you can drive across rivers
4x4 version possible?
Its been said before but whatever you are paying the translator, pay him more lol
Time for 4x4
Missed the chance to make a 2:1 gear reduction from the go :) awesome build though, you guys come up with the coolest ideas!
Has there ever been a DONK Lada? This car is so close! I know these guys could build a set of 30 inch rims for this thing.
I think they have a set form years back somewhere lol with some spinner things
I could see them cutting out the wheels wells a ridiculous amount and swapping in 30" wheels with about 1/4" tires.
@@jblob5764I agree! I remember seeing that video!😂👍 pimp my Lada!
_"Has there ever been a DONK Lada?"_ I think they would have a hard time shoehorning in a 2JZ motor.
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss
Now thats a real lift! All other vehicle lifts only raise the body and not the axles. Thus still having the same ground clearance.
raise the body so the larger tires fit in the wheel wells, the larger tires raise the ground clearance
@@michaelcoulton883 not nearly as much as this car in the video.

this is %107 . Nice Work!! might want to keep this one around as a utility vehicle.

Do they have railway available there, thats not frozen over 😉

Idea for next project: 4x4 Lada with this lift and bigger wheels. Literally what you said what should be done to make this car offroader.
quality content
The strangest but most interesting conversion yet.
and now:
-four bigger wheels
-struts reinforcement
-dirt protecion and so, for the chains
and this could be the unstoppable Lada!

So what I'm hearing is the all wheel drive lifted rally offroad Lada is next? Excellent!
Would love to see this revisited with 4WD and bigger wheels
Nice, just think how easy it would be to change the gear ratio for more torque as well!
They already done that 😉
Not really much operation... This beam wont take much larger sprocket :)
that is the most badass lada, definitely needs some big tires.
Not much for a testdrive. Idling at first gear isnt testdriving. Poor. But fun experiment thou.
❤❤ you just solve my 6 wheel idea with rear wheel chain ⛓️ loving your show from Nigeria
Of course rear drum brakes don't work, sensible mechanics 👌.
Make it be liftable hydraulically and you've got a Citroën!
Hope garage 54 would do expirements with a motorcycle would love to see it
Imagine the snow drifts you could drive through with this
I have a cool idea. Put niva drive train on regular zhiguli and make a proper offroader.
Time to lift up a 4x4 UAZ the same way and put on large tires.
everyone asking for bigger tires but you don't need bigger tires. That is the beauty of this.
They can put two front MTZ 82 axels on Lada. 😁
You should make a Lada with wing doors that open up like a DeLorean
