I'm a Georgia supporter who watched this game at home. I found South Carolina fans’ 12th man so powerful that I felt overpowered just watching the game.
We broke the attendance record that night. It was the loudest game I've ever been to. There was something in the air that night... there wasn't a team in the country that could've beaten us.
2011: lost to SEC west teams only. 2012: injuries, extremely hard mid season, and a stacked SEC. 2013: loss to a healthy Georgia team and a weird Tennessee loss. I’d say 2012 we could have won a championship if we had a bye week between the Georgia and LSU games, or a bye in between the LSU and Florida games.

UGA has to deal with more rivals than any other SEC team, the state of Georgia touches Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, GT. I don't think there's any other SEC school that has to deal with as many rivals as UGA. That's probably why I see more people hating on Georgia more than any other SEC football team. People must be jealous that they have a lot of talent in the NFL, or something like that...
we had 27 players with the flu and 5 other MAJOR injuries, lattimore, clowney, ace sanders, to name a few, those injuries held them back, the florida game was a bad one to look at, lattimore had 2 carries
Hello?! Carolina had to play LSU and Florida on the road back to back weeks. On top of that the LSU game was at night and they were coming off a loss. LSU has NEVER lost back to back games under Les Miles. And we still only lost by 2 points. Consistent? Everyone knew South Carolina had THE TOUGHEST SCHEDULE in college football this year.
As a Georgia fan, I agree, South Carolina had the toughest SEC schedule this year, with LSU and Florida (road) back to back weeks. One of the common mistakes people forget is that the schedule ROTATES, and every teams gets their turn with easy schedules and tough schedules year after year. Georgia felt the same way in 2008, we went to Baton Rouge against LSU that year and then Florida in Jacksonville & got killed the following week. South Carolina's 2012 was very similar to Georgia's 2008.
Yeah. To me I defend the argument that we deserved to go to the SEC Championship Game only because we can't control who we play. We can only control how we play in those games.

Yes I'm a Georgia fan, but no you can't really say we're "bad." For one, we beat the Florida team that beat you guys by what, 33 points? And two, we came within five yards of beating Alabama. HOWEVER.... This isn't a post about a bias I have for Georgia. South Carolina smashed us in the face and probably was a better team. I believe the athletes there now have a shot at an SEC and national championship. It's just that the SEC is about who has the easiest schedule these days. That's my take

I really don't like that it's become this way. I remember in the early 2000's when it was always extremely competitive in both divisions between Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, LSU, Auburn, and Arkansas. Alabama hadn't yet gotten back to being a power. Now, Tennessee is garbage, Auburn is garbage, and Alabama just owns everything. I believe the SEC is the best conference, but the East just has easy schedules these days, and it's not one awesome team beating other awesome teams like before.
