      Only issue with it is that once you separate the pages, it'll be difficult to put them back together and now you have to make another hole next to the other big hole if you want to staple them again.

      @Pavlinka__ Рік тому +13

      @@Vyz3r There are stapless stamplers that don't make such a gigantic hole and are made for easier separation if the papers need to be separated. it's like 0,5 cm line, so it's not all that visible and if you reapply, it's still fine. it's also kinda possible to reapply it on the same spot but it's less strong of a hold when you do so.

      Traditional staples are still needed for official documents like tax forms and other government forms. They should also be used for any other important document where you don't want larger holes.
      Also, traditional staples tend to perform better when you are stapling things that are thicker than a few pages because the fold becomes increasingly thick with more pages.
      Of course, personally, I prefer paperclips or binder clips which can be infinitely reused. And, they don't leave holes in the paper. You can get hundreds of paperclips or a few dozen binder clips for a couple bucks.

    The Stapleless Stapler is a very practical one; I had a much cheaper one that was given out freely at some conference, and used it for years until the sharp edge dulled too much and couldn't punch through paper anymore. It was a novelty of the time, but I got good mileage out of the cheap one I got for free. I should consider the Japanese version for smaller paper sets.
    As for the Protractor Ruler, I recall those being half-gimmick half-functional items sold in the early 00s as school supplies. I had one similar, but the issue with it was that it didn't have a smooth straight-edge; having a curved dip where both ends meet when straightened out. It also didn't protract very well, since it slid pretty loosely. The Japanese version fixes all the issues with the basic one I had except for the arcs, which the version I had did a great job of doing (but in inches).

    The stapler is actually a very old design. I have one that was manufactured in the 1930's and was in use in the office when I started work in 1968. For some reason it was replaced by the more 'modern', now familiar, design.

    Make sense for japanese stationary to be over engineered because to these very day, paper works are still a very common way for them to do work with while many countries already streamlined alot of their process digitally.

    1:00 the reason you have the extra bit is so when the ruler gets worn out at the end you still have extra ruler

    Those staplers are used in food factories to prevent there being little bits of metal that might go in food

    You don't have to think about removing regular staples before recycling either. I have yet to come across any recycling pipeline that says you have to get rid of plain staples. They have magnets in their processing line to get metal out.

    staple-less stapler, just that the holes seems quite big, if the can make it more smaller holes while retaining same function, it would be more used.

    I checked that site out, there’s a 0.28 pen, not only does it write so fine, but it’s a multi color pen 😳
    Thought I’d never see a useful ‘rainbow pen’ (remember those giant pens with a dozen colors in it?) but there one is, seems to write finer than the .3 I currently write with, and comes with 3 different inks?
    Still want to check reviews for the site, but damn, I hope this isn’t too good to be true. I sign things all the time, upgrading to .3 helped to boost my confidence (makes my signature and writings look so much more clean and fine) going to .28 and never needing to switch from my favorite pen? Sounds like a dream :)

    The Midori Ruler. I have no use for it, but somehow I think I need it. :) I adore Japanese office supplies!

    I loved those Coco Fusen sticky notes! They would be even better if the card-looking holder also hold a flat pen/pencil.
    I would definitely consider carrying one of those as a man without a purse.
