- I sit in a doctor’s office. Forty-five minutes after I arrive, the doctor strolls into the room. The doctor asks why I am here. I tell the doctor I am having chest pain. My heart feels like it is racing out of control. My heart rate and blood pressure have been elevated. I am extremely exhausted. I hope this doctor listens to what I have to say...but unfortunately, it is just another appointment in which I experience medical gaslighting. #godismystrength #pots #medicalgaslighting

No way! I would be filing a complaint so fast!
This happened when I first began my journey in the world of medicine. At the time, I did not know you could file a complaint against a doctor.
That’s horrible !! The treatment you get even after the proof is in the bpm … I’m so sorry you went through that I dealt with this as well and wen they can’t figure out the reason why they start their gaslighting I’d rather you be honest and just tell me you don’t know why rather than gaslight me

That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. I am assuming you have to have your portable ventilator with you and be hooked up, there is not a time like a doctor's visit you can just skip having it, and why would you want to anyway, you would want to present with the conditions you live with. I say all that to say this, surely he can't believe in his own mind that you carried your ventilator, pocketbook, and maybe a day bag and ran from the back parking lot all the way there up the steps and to the office, all the while for the sole purpose of raising your heart rate and blood pressure. And outright accusing you of such, and then standing by it when your blood pressure was taken again a second time. Young lady, I think what you have to do is file a complaint with the medical board immediately and do the community a favor, this person should not be a doctor treating or seeing anyone, and the way he treated and accused you is absolutely unacceptable. Next get yourself another doctor immediately, one that is familiar with treating people in your situation and condition. Or just go to a local veterinarian I am sure you would be better treated there. Please take care of yourself and do not tolerate treatment like this. Wishing You The BestTake Care, God Bless Russ
