I am loving all the tips. I hit the wall hard trying to swap from tier 3 to 4, but within a day I've managed to update my gear and make tweaks to my build so that I can play and have a lot of fun again.
@@OwnModeGaming My biggest issue was not swapping upgrades to my gear. I was playing a lot like it were Diablo 2, where I cared more about the aspect on it then the overall stats. So I was keeping things that gave +2 to a skill, rather then swapping to a Ancestral 925 piece of gear without the + to a skill. I was thinking that it was what was making my build "function" the way I wanted to play, rather then getting my defense and damage to a place where I could kill bosses and not get 1 shot. Letting go of favorite aspects short term, so I could add them back to better gear later, on better items, was something I wasn't doing. I was in tier 4 using tier 1-2 boots cause they "gave 2 additional skeletons". LOL
@@OwnModeGaming The other big thing that helped me, was I started leaning into the good uniques I had found, rather then holding off aiming for End game gear. So instead of obsessing over items that make Bone Spirt godly, I used unique helm I had found with + to bone spear, and adjusted my build so I was using bone spear for the time being more. Suddenly instead of occasional Bone Spirit crits, I was melting enemies with much higher damage on my Bone spears. I will eventually swap back as I fill out the end game pieces, but the skill swap has allowed me to keep progressing, instead of feeling stuck, and unable to farm much of anything.
@@OwnModeGaming to be fair though, with regard to my mistakes, it was working just fine all the way to the end of tier 3. So even though I knew I wasn't hitting for billions or millions, I felt that my build was "successful" at the time.
Great vid. Thanks for the explanation. I really wish that if you decide to keep the first tier, then it locks. and then if you don't like the second tier than that's what you would reroll. I know it sounds like that it would make it easier to get the op gear, but you still paying the same 5mil per reset and you still have the same randomness

500 mil is pennies, you're very lucky. I wasted multiple billions on rerolling stats to +heavy handed and tripple critting it on masterworking in last season.
Lucky on this run. I have 3 builds with full masterworking. I can't even guess how many billions. It's a lot and I think what happen in the video is the luckiest i've ever been for sure.
Maybe more lax rules or easy resetting would be called for seasonal and hc characters. When you go to Eternal keep it hard with more random and resetting to zero while master working.
Your channel has been so helpful for me! I just started playing D4 (picked it up on the sale). Quick question, if you reset after Tier 2 does that mean you have to go back and get the Tier 1 increase you were happy with originally?

Glad it worked for you. I spent over 750 million gold and countless MW attempts and still could not get a triple CDR on my Shako. Tempering and MW tends to just make me upset and frustrated. I play video games like this to relax and have fun not get upset and frustrated. Blizzard should change tempering so we can avoid bricking items and allow us to reset our MW down to the last crit level not all the way to the beginning.

While people complaining about not being able to perfect their Shako, it's people like me who can't even get ONE Shako to drop! Like you said ppl play have fun and have a life! Not trying level 4 characters and their seasons just to be able to craft Mythic.
you can masterwork your mythics and keep their required level at 35. only by putting gems in will affect this, but if you remove the gems the required level returns to 35
On one item i hit it 3 times on what i wanted the very first time lol never been able to do it again. I give up in the end now. Got two of what i wanted on each item now.
whatever i try t6 hordes is the highst tier i can do everything is masterworked to blue and trying to reroll to yellow but still nothing. do you need mystic uniques to be able to do tier 7 ?
Imo. You should masterwork gear even if it isn’t good or what you want. Even when you find the gear you need you can break them down and get back the mats used to masterwork the new item back to where the old one was.

With the two pieces of gear that was not level 925 you could have MWed them to at least 4/12 or 8/12 and just taken whatever MW you got without resetting them. Then when you find new gear you can salvage the old gear and get back the MWing mats from the salvaged gear. That way you get a temporary boost until you find your ultimate gear.
@@714mattman No, i got what he meant. What I meant for the video, i would want to do the reset, the point was to show full masterworking. So, just doing the first four wasn't worth it, but you can. I usually still wouldn't because I know I would have the replacement gear soon.
Been trying to enchant +2 Frigid Finesse on my rogue's amulet. 3 Billion gold and 9K Abstruse sigils so far, haven't hit it once. Ran out of Abstruse Sigils so can't even try anymore. Wondering how many more billions and weeks of salvaging mats it will take. Pretty dumb.
The odds of successfully enchanting an item for ranks of passives are abysmally low. IMO, it's not worth wasting the gold and resources. Your time and energy is better spent running infernal hordes and helltides for loot. There's a better chance there of getting an amulet with your desired passive.
@@danielryan4488 I’ve found that you almost can’t get + ranks in anything by enchanting unless you get lucky or it’s something you don’t want. They’ve got + ranks so rare I don’t think they want us to be able to do it.
now on tempers i did boost my temper on my lighting spear sorc on weapon so that it was 100% on a 2h on the 1h and focus i did both till they where both equal at 100% that 2nd lighting spear is key ... on my necro most my stuff was temperin max life... im pure overpower i need to squeeze out as much life as i can.. and even then i need a incense and elixir to get to 99K health man the damage i do now and near unkillable. but no... it took forever to get a tripple on the shako and two weeks grind on the doom bringer ugh... in the end i fell like it was just a 25% boost over all.. heh but im a couch dad that dont have time getting all ga on gear good vid and for rogues trying to get that dark shroud on a ring.. i bricked 125 rings this season alone on just that 1 in 4 temper and never got it i gave up moved on lol
Masterworking could be made so much better by just changing it to resetting the current level instead of resetting the entire item. (MW 4 resets to 0, MW 8 resets to 4, MW 12 resets to 8) That's all they would need to do to make MW a more fun process. The current method is straight ass. I spent obscene amounts of money on re-rolling my shako because it gave me max life 26 resets in a row.
Im a bit new to diablo 4, so please have an understanding for a newbie :P Lets say that I can't farm infernal hordes t7, but can only farm t5 without any issues Should i be running the pits to get the mats for max lvl mats, or should i optimize my build with the way you're optimizing it, perfect rolls, on what I can get from t5, before moving forward What would be best solution? I still think that hordes are still a better choice. With the mats from t5 you can take everything up to level 8 of masterworking and making sure that the 2 25% boosts you get at level 4 and 8 are where you want them is a solid plan. @@Blamson64I disagree with this idea only for weapons because for most builds your damage output is based on your weapon damage and a weapon lower than 925 by that much does noticeably less damage.
@@OwnModeGaming I could definitely help you get on your feet or boost you through the low levels. Dying makes it fun because then getting items becomes exciting again. And you can just stash backup gear in case you have to start over.
The mats weren't great til I was clearing tier 7 infernal hordes and getting an average of 750 aether per run. The build matters a lot my lightning spear sorc and landslide druid do most of the mats farming because their clear is amazing in hordes.
Getting triple masterwork on one item takes alot, it prob takes more mats than you farmed in this video.. i easily spend over 100k of them mats for 5 perfect triple masterworks

I'm distrustfull of blizzard making things so hard to get mats? I am almost Lvl 100 and I have yet to get one mythic. I tend to think contect creators get better drops so they can promote?
There is no special server for content creators. If there is, I'm not part of it. I've run probably 200-300 tormented boss runs to get the mythics I have and I still don't have them all. My first mythic came after I got to lvl 100 with my main.
It's random bra, sometimes good sometimes maybe shit. First play through I got my first mythic on lvl 90..with my sorc I got first one at like 40..all the way to now..I got the chain lightning pants with GA on chain lightning from the season quest thingy.. Just keep playing the game you will find some soon and soon have a stash full of them
@@Zittylol they do make it very difficult for solo players most people are getting mythics from running in groups they take turns using mats so it doesn’t cost nearly as much.

It really depends on the build. My lightning spear sorc and landslide druid were clearing t7s without any mythics.

Masterworking could be made so much better by just changing it to resetting the current level instead of resetting the entire item. I have a 2h weapon with 2 GA at 895 item level. Is that better than a 925 with no GA?
It can be. If it's the affixes you really want then I would worry about it til I get a GA 925 replacement.

I don’t get how MW materials are hard to get. Just play Hordes and you’ll have a thousand of each in no time.
It can be for a lot of players, not everyone has top builds or they don’t play a lot.

Nah I am normally a solo player and did 4 player rotation at Duriel and got 1 visage and 2 tyriels out of 20 runs.
