…anytime when you upgrade the lower spring kit, it’s highly recommended to replace the OEM w/ the aftermarket struts (I.e. Bilstein, KONI, etc…) at the same time. This will reduce the body roll.
100% would help, or just go full coilover setup
#2 is not true if you have the M Perfomance model with Track package, adaptive suspension, H&R springs, and add a engine strut brace. Not to mention the 10.5 wheels I have on the back 😉. And #3 the 340i are not everywhere. You are seeing 335 and below.

Even if you have the track package, and strut brace; it’s still not on the same level of handling as an M 🤷🏻♂️
Lol yeah I mean it’s a more affordable car, you’ll see a lot more of those than an M car. Also 320; 335 doesn’t matter.. they can all have the same body kit 🥲

An M340i is a bit different than a 340i, I don’t have as much experience. Not a whole lot to look out for tho, just make the it’s well taken care of

I been thinking of getting one soon but was wondering if the 340i have the LED lights moving with steering wheel or when you start the car it goes up.
And #2 question why does some 340i have a thicker and big steering wheel and some have thin sports steering wheel is it difference in the trim level ?
I believe they do, idk. No anti dazzle feature. My steering wheel is from BMW but the M performance trim (alcantara) doesn’t come on a car from the factory. Have to buy separately
Thinking of keeping everything OEM when I get mine ( getting one with m sport package) but I do want to add springs to lower it and a wing & front lip
Just remember.. once you start the itch.. the mod bug never goes away.. 😂😂. But yeah those are great mods to do that greatly enhance looks
Looking into one of these cars to upgrade from an e46. Is there any suspension mods that will get you that handling comparable to an M3? Also I have curvy roads around my house so I drive them everyday, my e46 can hit these curvy roads going 60mph without braking. Is that still possible with these newer ones? In the video it looks like you were slowing down quite a bit.
I wouldn’t know without doing the suspension mods myself but I’m sure you could get pretty close with upgraded coilovers, and front and rear strut braces. I probably could have sent it harder lol

How does getting a 2023 M340i compare? Is that a good in between? The one I’m looking at if fully loaded less the adaptive suspension? 🤔
Great in between no doubt. Not quite an M car as far as performance but it outdoes an F80 M3 as far as luxury and interior. Plus the LCI facelift looks great! And will be under warranty 😁. (Also will have more than enough power for daily driving, especially with a piggy back tune that doesn’t void warranty)

If you want it to be the ultimately daily then I’d say you’d want it 😬. Adaptive is more comfortable in comfort, and stiffer in sport modes. Sport springs alone is going to make the ride stiffer but more sporty feeling as it’s less spring travel
On my 340i. The interior plastic black trim is peeling bottoms controls very low miles. Please suggest? Thank you

just regarding your "Mercedes being more luxurious" comment: I have an M340i and my son has a MB C43. Surprisingly, the Benz is more sport oriented and less refined performance wise. The 340i is more tame when it wants to be. The Benz is a little beast. Rougher suspension, more abrupt exhaust, and harsher shifting. The interior of the Benz is more luxury oriented though. Anyway, both are great cars. I prefer the BMW (of course).
Yeah that’s fair! But also those are cars above a regular 340i or C300. Benz definitely makes some good sport cars. I ripped a C63 in LA once and it was too much fun. I agree with you though I prefer BMW.

An 2018-19 340i or M240i is what I’d personally go for. Fully optioned out or close to it

Nah they all have burbles but won’t be amplified without the full M performance exhaust (MPPSK). The 2018 models did have some updates as far as tech and slight looks like the LED headlights. I’m trying to figure out if the regular non m series 340i is worth it. Don’t plan on doing anything crazy performance wise with the car just cosmetics. The m series is out of the price range for me.

@@skrrtproductions yeah it’s a very nice car. Yours is sick man! What year is yours again? I heard a crazy case where someone’s oil level wasn’t reading accurately and the dealer would charge 3k to fix the oil pump which is strange but the guy had warranty luckily.
I would still buy one..man i love in northern Va all i see is M3..you see a 340i here and there. But i like the 340i might not have the ride and handling of the m3 but its still nice and fast.

KW suspension Variant 2 or 3 and the car becomes overkill for the usual roads.
I can imagine it's pretty stiff, but so are the F8x's. That's why I'm content with this car being my daily. Cheaper, more comfortable, and similar power capabilities.

its very obvious when its a 340i, doesnt look anything like the 335i& poverty spec 4 cylinders, 340is have been keeping there value very well due to how rare it is to see a 340i on the road, at least here in GA where im at

Did you just title this video with a list of negative points on a 340i for hits? I mean there are way more positives than negatives, you can’t compare an M3 with it as that’s a different price bracket and car category. The balance of track and real world road handling and comfort is spot on. Compared to Audi and Mercedes in this price bracket it’s the best out of the box without question. I would not recommend expensive adaptive suspension(as any independent bmw specialist) they will say stick with springs. Do you know how expensive they are to replace per corner and if your a driving enthusiast it’s just better, especially if buying used. It has 90% of the performance of an M3 car but is around half the cost. We should be celebrating this car not saying why you shouldn’t buy it.
Just some points from my overall experience. Wanted to give some perspective for people that are in the market. The 340i is an amazing car for the money.

I had a motor built aftermarket turbo 2020 sti , (THOUSANDS invested and only made 450whp!!) And I sold it for a 2018 340i best decision I ever made with just a catless downpipe intake and fuel pump upgrade this car is faster and wayyyyy more reliable then the sti not to mention sounds better but that’s just my opinion. Do yourself a favor man ej25 motors are trash ,

the bmw community is known to love tuning and upgrading parts in their cars. So its such a dick move from BMW that they started locking their ECU's to prevent people from doing the exact thing that made BMW loved by the community, they stabbed them in the back and basically told them to fuck off.

Not sure what you’re trying to say. When you take the car to near 500whp you’re going to want some suspension mods. The F30 handles better than majority of cars on the road, just not nearly as good as an ///M of course
