    Here's the thing.
    There have been sightings of a creature in Loch Ness; but there have been sightings also in Loch Quoich and also not surprisingly, we have sightings in Loch Oich. What do these have in common, I hear you ask? These loch's can all be reached by one another. So this begs the question: If this is so, why shouldn't this creature, or group of creatures be using this series of waterways to try to evade capture and or sighting.
    Also, if these creatures originate from the open sea they are Anadromous in nature. Able to live for periods of time, most likely from egg to maturity in fresh water, then moving to a more salty or salient type of water environment.
    It's also possible the creature is closely related to the crocodillia family.

    Thank You for your reply, I just found it. About the missing sheep question. Since the problem of not enough food has been stated for years for a big Nessie or more, the remote possibility of other land sources of food, sheep , deer , even birds floating on the surface of the water, could solve that problem.
    May I suggest an open enquire to the locals perhaps in newspapers, to try and ascertain how many sheep go missing and what months it happens the most .
    It would be interesting if a pattern develops and no one ever looked for that information before.
    I have heard at Lake Champlain, Vermont, USA , of Champ, where locals believe during heavy rain storms at night, Champ possibly moves onto land aided by the wet to hunt for food. Not far inland, just enough for a meal. Odd depressions and drag marks have been noticed but, they soon dry up and disappear . Who in their right mind go out in a severe rainstorm, lightning etc, at night looking for Nessie ?
    Nature finds a way to eat. EELS have been known to travel on ground for short distances.
    Thank You for all of your hard work ...

    Im personally in the camp that nessie is an undiscovered massive Eel or some sort of unknown class of large water breathing ectotherms with a slow metabolism. If thats the case it could definitely traverse a theoretical cave system linking Loch Ness to another loch or the sea.

      It's an interesting theory, but I still stand by my words and conclusion. I'm not sure if you watched the entire video as it explains why tunnels are highly unlikely. There's no evidence to support tunnels and caves within Loch Ness. I don't believe tunnels exist linking Lochs and Sea, but it might be possible for an animal to hide and avoid detection by resting alongside the Loch shelves and steep Loch walls.
      Admittedly, just because we haven't discovered tunnels/caves doesn't mean they don't exist. We can never be 100% certain, but it is unlikely.
      Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts with us. Really appreciate it!

      I hear you there, I meant more in the slim chance cave systems do exist, I personally think Nessie could navigate them since I think its a water breather. On another note, do you have any good books or documentaries with actual nuisance and substance on the topic? I'd really appreciate it and keep up the citizen science 👍

    On sheep missing at Loch Ness , this is an addition to my ** ** , just below comment.
    Adrian Shine, built a glass bottom small boat and explored the coastline of the loch. I believe he discovered lots of dead animal bones underwater along the coastline, Deer, sheep, etc . Why were they located there ? I think it might be a clue. Please see my long comment below at ** **

    • @TeamLNE
      @TeamLNE  3 місяці тому +2

      @bhartley868 I like your thinking, and it's often been discussed. I might be mistaken, but 'GLASS‑BOTTOMED BOAT PEQUOD' I'm sure was used in Loch Morar rather than Loch Ness. Adrian and his students did find bones, etc, and I guess it's up to the reader whether the sheep/deer died naturally by the Loch side or did something else occur? Visibility in Loch Morar is far greater than in Loch Ness, making it easier to identify certain points of interest. It's a beautiful location, and it'd be great to see future expeditions return one day.

      @TeamLNE  11 місяців тому +1

      Haha, it was indeed. It wasn't the same castle, though. Caves under Urquhart Castle are purely speculation - no evidence has been found, but that doesn’t mean we should stop looking.

    Have you all seen the kayaker that flew his drone over the loch as he camped around it? One can see a juvenile Nessie inspecting the kayak. I don’t believe this a fake

    Questions : Do sheep go missing every year around these locks ? Are there any missing people from time to time ? Divers accidents ? Missing small boats ? Are there special places where the locals say, don't go there ? How come no one has chummed with offal at sunset into the night to stirr up a little eel activity ?

    • @TeamLNE
      @TeamLNE  11 місяців тому +1

      Interesting questions. I'm afraid I can't tell you about livestock going missing as I simply don't know that answer. If you dig deep enough into history, I'm sure there are reports claiming to have seen Nessie with 'prey' in its mouth. Best double-checking as that one as it might not be accurate.
      Unfortunately, deaths have occurred within Loch Ness. If the imagination runs wild, then I'm sure individuals will claim that it was Nessie that caused these deaths, but in reality, it's most likely accidents that lead to drowning. Some bodies have been recovered, but many haven't due to how dark and dangerous the Loch is.
      Some eyewitnesses have explained that they will never go back onto the Loch in a small boat. There's also cases where divers (Robert Badger) have had close encounters with Nessie and refused to enter the Loch again.

    Too many lakes have serpents in them. Many not even deep enough to house such a creature. I’m sure many lakes that hold these creatures, have tunnels beneath them.

      It's a beautiful place indeed. I'm interested in your comment about a '40ft overgrown snail' - Is that a genuine theory, or was it just for fun? Either is fine by me 😉

    • @Mrz-sb1hw
      @Mrz-sb1hw 11 місяців тому

      People who have possibly seen it for real and if they are not lying have said it is horrendous to gaze upon and a lot of eye witnesses have said it looks like a snail. A snail is biologically adapted to breath underwater.

      @Mrz-sb1hw If I'm being honest, that's news to me. I've read and listened to many different theories over the years but never came across this one. I personally don't subscribe to that theory for a number of different reasons.

      I live in UK and are more "on the ground" if you don't live here, l can assure you that's what people who said it looks like, its head is about giraffe size, long neck, two front flippers a large hump, two back flippers and a long tail and very clever.

    • @TeamLNE
      @TeamLNE  11 місяців тому

      I wasn't calling you out, mate. I was just simply saying that this theory is news to my ears. Descriptions and the morphology of Nessie do change depending on who you speak with. Head, body, neck, movement, sounds, and behaviour differ throughout the years.
      I visit Loch Ness every month to conduct surface observations as well as Hydrophone studies/research so I can assure you that I'm literally more than just 'on the ground' I'm 'on the Loch'. If you get a moment, then visit our Facebook Group: Loch Ness Exploration.
